This space is my home and comes fully equipped with everything to make this stay feel like you are home away from home!
Please enjoy TV that comes with the Roku and my subscriptions to Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime Video. You'll find a fully stocked kitchen, a stove and refrigerator/freezer, toaster, kettle and French press coffee. Extra additions such as an Instant Pot, small blender, and popcorn maker are also available.
The home includes:
- 4 spacious bedrooms
- An indoor dining space that comfortably seats 6 with leaves that can be added to be able to accommodate 10 people - and 2 additional seats in the kitchen bar area.
- A large outdoor deck with a grill for BBQ, eucalyptus wood table and bench that seats 8 for outdoor entertainment
- Expansive garden surrounded by forest and woodland trails to enjoy alone, in groups, or with your dog(s).
- Outdoor hot-tub with mountain views lit with globe lights for ambience.
- Yoga studio (which can be heated during the winter).
- Your stay Includes bath towels, hot tub towels, robes, toiletries, etc.
What you will find near Pentoria Lodge:
- The log home is located on a hill close to the Skykomish River with a view of the mountains.
- There are three towns located nearby.
1. Duvall is my personal favorite and is 20 minutes away to enjoy boutique shops, breweries, lunch spots, great dinner restaurants, ice cream, and a Safeway.
2. Monroe has everything you would need including restaurants, shops, hardware stores, pet stores, antique stores, and grocery stores.
3. Sultan is on the way to Stevens Pass ski resort and is much smaller but has a great bakery!
Nearby activities include hiking, skiing, kayaking, paddle boarding.
All the spots that I would recommend visiting can be found in the Welcome Guide upon your arrival.
Important things to know:
- Staying in this home means you are staying within nature. Deer are regularly around the property, or can be seen in the woods during your drive up. Please be respectful to them. There has been the occasional bear sighting, so please be aware. There is bear spray in the property, but I have only seen a bear twice and have been able to scare it away with a tap on the window! My space is surrounded by woods and forest, and though I treat the exterior to keep out pests, there are all sorts of creatures great and small, including insects and mice, which unfortunately can be a reality of nature for all the homes up on the hill. Please take into consideration that my home may not be a right fit for those who are extremely phobic of these and other wildlife, but for others, it can bring enjoyment.
Please take a look at my house rules to familiarize yourself with the do's and dont's, especially if you will be using this space for a larger entertainment gathering.

Guest access
There is enough space for 3 cars to park at the top of the driveway and next to the log cabin. Any other cars can fit down by the yoga studio and garage, but please note, the driveway is not for the faint of heart - it is steep!
During the winter months you will need a 4-wheel drive to make it to the top of the driveway. When it gets icy, it is not recommend to drive the driveway, but parking at the bottom and walking up through the pasture is what I do to get home!
There is an electronic lockbox for your convenience that will let you into the house with a special code that I will email to you once the property is booked and you are confirmed to be arriving.
Your GPS may take you a slightly different route. I will email instructions on the easiest way to the lodge. There will also be signs to 'Pentoria Lodge' to follow for easier directions.
Other things to note
There are deer, squirrels, rabbits, owls, and other critters that may roam the property as the log home is surrounded by forest and is home to many creatures great and small. Some of the tiny ones may get into the house from time to time. Refunds cannot be granted because of a spider, fly, wasp, mouse, or any woodland critter. I strive to keep the property as thoroughly clean as possible with monthly pest control to mitigate the chances of seeing any creatures in the property and appreciate your full understanding should an insect or critter make a small appearance. Should this happen, please reach out to me asap and I will do anything I can to take care of it and to make your stay a 5 Star experience!

The highlight of the cabin is the log bridge across the creek! You will feel like you are on an amazing hiking trail or in a fairytale on the rainforest-like grounds with a babbling brook or rushing creek running through it depending on how much rain we have had. Our property is directly across the street from access to the national forest service roads with miles of roads and trails. PLEASE NOTE BEFORE BOOKING: The cabin is older and rustic, and we are renovating it over time. There is a very steep/narrow staircase that excesses the second floor, and the twin bed artea is part of the lofty and is not an enclosed bedroom. The living space and kitchen are open concept, and there is seating for 4 at the dining room table and 2 countertop barstools as well. The adorable farmhouse style kitchen has everything you need to cook meals during your stay, including all cooking essentials and basic spices. We also have pancake mix and quick oats for our guests in case you forgot to bring your own breakfast. If you are lucky enough to stay in late summer, you can walk across the street to pick wild blackberries. The living room has a large TV and a nice selection of DVDs to choose from. We also have Starlink for both internet and streaming services. Cell service can be hit or miss depending on provider. The bathroom is on the lower level, as well as the first bedroom which has a queen bed. The 2nd bedroom opens up with a barn door and also has a queen bed as well as beautiful views of the creek and trees. For this reason it is my favorite bedroom! At the bottom of the stairs is the mud room which is a an enclosed patio and is a great place to store recreational equipment or wet/muddy items. It also allows excess to one of the decks which features outdoor seating and a bbq.

Brittany's space is a sweet little haven. I have booked this spot a few times for a Winter Solstice celebration and it never disappoints. We love gathering around the big fire pit for hours, sharing in ceremony, music, and reflection, and ending the night with a cozy sleep in the cabin. I happily recommend this spot!

We used this cabin as a base for exploring the forests and parks on the Olympic peninsula, and we had a blast. We were able to explore everything we wanted to, and return to a nice cozy and quiet cabin to rest and recover for the next day's dventures. The cabin had everything we needed for relaxing, and the hosts were responsive and had help available if anything small came up. Great place, would rent again if in the area.

We loved the Cedar River Cabin! Just the right size with all the glamping amenities. Cute, cozy, easy to get to, nestled in a lovely wooded area. Moxie, our cat, enjoyed it too! We've started taking her on mini-trips to get her accustomed to traveling with us on all types of adventures. I'd say it was a huge success!

Beautiful, well thought out, and clean space that had everything one needs to create beautiful memories with friends and families. The whole property is gorgeous with stunning views. The fire pit was so lovely especially on a rainy day, and so nice to have items provided for smores as well. Loads of cards and board games. Would stay here again and recommend 10/10!

We enjoyed our stay at the rustic A-Frame cabin with gorgeous views. It was a great place to kick back and relax and yet be close to a plethora of recreational opportunities. We appreciated the well stocked kitchen with quality kitchenware. We enjoyed, with the use of the provided spotting scope, watching the groups of Bald Eagles feeding on the mud flats at low tide. We ESPECIALLY appreciated that our dog was welcome.

Her clear directions and heartfelt hospitality made our stay very special. The cabin is very charming and clean which is big enough for 2 adults and 2 teenagers and 1 large dog. It was such a peaceful site.

This place BLEW ME AWAY! It is SO cute, even more so than the pictures. I wish I had more time and could've stayed longer. Brittany was amazing and proactive in her communication, her instructions and directions were very clear and incredibly helpful. It was a great location, the place was clean and cozy, and had so many little touches that made it feel welcoming and homey. I will absolutely be back, and hopefully soon!

Brittany is so communicative and made herself available to ensure I had everything I needed. The cabin and outdoor area are so cute and decorated to make it feel homey. The cabin is ‘off grid’ but the only thing missing was plumbing so I didn't feel like we were really going without.
My pup had the best time! I had no issues leaving him off leash the whole time. Oh man was he livid when he spotted horses trotting by on the nearby bike trail! It might have been the highlight of the trip for him!
I’m bummed my schedule didn’t allow for a longer stay. I’ll definitely be back again.

Such a beautifully well kept site with great privacy and all the amenities you would need for a fabulous glamping experience. The owner is incredibly responsive and you can tell truly cares for the space and its guests. Highly recommend!

It’s a cozy cabin but it’s definitely in the remodel phase so you’ll see some items that need repair or are being actively worked on. However, the outdoor space is amazing and it felt very private.

1 night at Camp Duckabush: Hood Canal A-Frame
My stay at Camp Duckabush was nothing short of magical. The A-frame cabin is cozy, peaceful, and impeccably maintained. Waking up in the tranquil loft bedroom to views of the Hood Canal while drinking coffee on the balcony was an absolute dream.
Inside, the cabin had everything I needed—from a fully stocked kitchen (with locally roasted Rainshadow Coffee!) to a comfy living area with blankets, propane heater 🔥, and FireTV. I especially appreciated the thoughtful touches like the reading nook, board games, and even a spotting scope to watch the local wildlife.
The outdoor space was just as memorable. I spent the evening lounging outside with a glass of wine in the provided lounge chairs. The views of the Hood Canal were stunning, and the peaceful setting made it feel like a true escape from the everyday.
Whether you're looking for a romantic getaway, a solo retreat, or just some time to reconnect with nature, I can’t recommend this place enough. I left feeling completely recharged and already dreaming of my next visit.

Weekend Trip to The Village at Rainier
We stayed here last summer and loved it just as much! The location is perfect- very quiet and well kept. Rainier can be so challenging in the summer and staying in Ashford gave us an easy, well rested early start. Seriously- we entered the park a little after 7am and the lot at Paradise was almost full. Getting up on the trails with less crowds and before the heat of the day is a game changer.
We love the cabin and the hot tub. Stay here— you won’t regret it!

What a PERFECT place this was! Our 3 dogs have never been happier than they were whileexploring the woods & swimming in the river (once they figured out the currents). The cabin is well-built & comfortable. The loft has a double bed; the bunkbed has a double on the bottom and single on top. One piece of advice: the top bunk is a bit difficult to maneuver on the way down.
It felt very private even though there is a great long paved biking & walking path above it.
I am definitely returning! Loved it!

This place was fantastic. We came here with some friends and our dogs and it was the perfect getaway. It had a perfect cozy cabin, large outdoor space outback with a creek and fire pit, and an awesome hot tub that kept nice and warm. The deck up top was the perfect place to have brunch and the surrounding area is filled with nice hikes. The only downside is the lack of reliable internet for handheld devices but with the outdoors and perfect streaming we hardly even noticed. Ideal place to keep us and the pets entertained. Would definitely come back and planning to.
