Though not one acre in size (please note that the HipCamp app requires a minimum selection of 1 acre), our cozy spot offers a unique lakeside experience. Parking is conveniently situated a couple of blocks away, and the site is accessible via a walk-in/walk-out path connected to the East Lake Sammamish Trail. The terrain boasts a slightly sloped, rocky shoreline, providing direct no-bank access to the water for activities such as swimming, paddle-boarding, boating, fishing, and sunbathing. Please be aware that the site does not have utilities or hook-ups, embracing a rustic getaway experience. It can accommodate two tents and up to 6 people comfortably. On-site amenities include a firepit, picnic table, trash can, sun umbrella, a buoy, and camp chairs for your enjoyment. Additionally, a honeybucket is available in the parking lot for your convenience. Please note that the boat lift and on-site cabana are not available for camper use. There is no electricity so please be prepared to bring your own lighting. (There is a set of string lights in the tree that we put up for our personal use that requires our solar generator to use. Just a heads up that these aren’t intended to be part of the guest camping experience). Various chairs, paddle boards, tents and other items shown in images may belong to guests and are not all included in the rental. Two solidly built swing sets, with slides, one with an enclosed fort on top, climbing area, kids picnic table underneath. A picnic table and chairs sit nearby for parents to enjoy. A large vintage terrazzo semi-circular classic washfountain. The parking lot is behind trees, approx 50 ft from the main road which has regular daily traffic and noise driving by at the top of the site. It quiets down after work in the evenings. Dogs bark because they are dogs, but when you go deep into the forest you can barely hear the road or the dogs. The parking area can only be located there, in order to maintain the ecology of Ames Creek. The entrance is down through either of two driveways from the main road, on a horseshoe loop drive-through, to the L-shaped parking lot. Tent camping is 4 to 6 total soft pads in the forest near the parking sites. Note: Ames Creek does dry up in mid-summer. For large RVs maneuvering skills are required to park on the level 23 ft long parking pads in the parking area down the hill from the road. It is a U-shaped drive-through, flat at the bottom of the small driveway hill. It has a main trail and many small pathways between ferns and hillocks. In an effort to preserve and protect this wild habitat, we have already planted 200 + Western Red Cedars, Douglas Firs, salal, snowberry, native current, and other native vegetation. This is a great private spot for an RV or similar vehicles and 2 tent circles. A firepit, and porta-potty next to each pad, another firepit in one of the 2 tent circles for each RV parking pad site. A completely natural untouched Pacific moss rainforest about 30 miles inland on the foothills of the Mount Baker–Snoqualmie National Forest in Washington State. Some areas it is likely no one has ever walked on. Bring mosquito repellent. Be aware of kids and dogs near road entrances, as well as near the creek in the winter. It is located near major fun sites, it is a wilderness playground! Ames Creek dries up mid-July and returns in Sept/Oct. There are a lot of little paths crisscrossing the creek, likely raccoon and deer trails. We are happy to have your dogs visit - they will love it! Please remember to bring an extension cord to access power. There are fire pits. When possible firewood is provided gratis in the woodshed. There are bundles of wood for sale at the Ace Hardware store in Carnation. + 5 minute drive to Carnation Farms Farmstand for eggs, meat, milk, juices, homemade dishes, veggies, berries, fruit, ice cream, cheeses, vinegar, chocolate, sauerkraut, kimchi! + 15 minute drive to Remlinger Farms (summer only) amusement rides for kids - Model-T cars, swings, canoe, carousel, pumpkin rides, steam train, roller coaster, barrel ride, peddle cars, giant slide, whirly bird, star gazer, wreaking ball, pony ride, hay rides, - u-pick fields, ice cream & pies, corn mazes, many animals (bunnies too), and a brewery with bands! + 15 min drive to Snoqualmie River + 20 minutes drive to Snoqualmie Falls +15 minute drive to Microsoft Campus, Nintendo, Pushpay, llink Systems, ADIC (Advanced Digital Information Corporation), Meta, Spacemark in Redmond #larping + 23 mins from the cute town of Issaquah + 2 hours and 30 minutes drive to the famed The Gorge Amphitheater, near George, Washington, a natural outdoor concert venue in Grant County + 27 minute drive to Chateau Ste. Deciduous forest with Big Leaf Maple and Alder, the woods are hemlock, Western red cedar, and Douglas Fir trees, with a creek on site, and Ames Lake nearby. Bird watchers may spot rare species at this pristine natural location, 15 minutes from Redmond's city center. Many types of these birds - pied-billed Grebes, Bald Eagles, Osprey, Red-tailed Hawks, accipiters, Killdeer, woodpeckers, wrens, blackbirds, some ducks, chickadees, and other rare species are resident here. During spring and summer, warblers, rails, American Bittern, and sparrows can be quite common. Wintertime brings geese, many types of ducks, gulls, swans, Northern Shrikes, Peregrine Falcons, and some Rough-legged Hawks. This location is near U.S. National Forest extending more than 140 miles along the western slopes of the Cascade Range from the Canada–US border to the northern boundary of Mount Rainier National Park. John Muir once wrote, "In every walk with nature, one receives far more than they seek." Two solidly built swing sets, with slides, one with an enclosed fort on top, climbing area, kids picnic table underneath. A picnic table and chairs sit nearby for parents to enjoy. A large vintage terrazzo semi-circular classic washfountain. The parking lot is behind trees, approx 50 ft from the main road which has regular daily traffic and noise driving by at the top of the site. It quiets down after work in the evenings. Dogs bark because they are dogs, but when you go deep into the forest you can barely hear the road or the dogs. The parking area can only be located there, in order to maintain the ecology of Ames Creek. The entrance is down through either of two driveways from the main road, on a horseshoe loop drive-through, to the L-shaped parking lot. Tent camping is 4 to 6 total soft pads in the forest near the parking sites. Note: Ames Creek does dry up in mid-summer. For large RVs maneuvering skills are required to park on the level 23 ft long parking pads in the parking area down the hill from the road. It is a U-shaped drive-through, flat at the bottom of the small driveway hill. In an effort to preserve and protect this wild habitat, we have already planted 200 + Western Red Cedars, Douglas Firs, salal, snowberry, native current, and other native vegetation. This is a great private spot for an RV or similar vehicles and 2 tent circles. A firepit, and porta-potty next to each pad, another firepit in one of the 2 tent circles for each RV parking pad site. A completely natural untouched Pacific moss rainforest about 30 miles inland on the foothills of the Mount Baker–Snoqualmie National Forest in Washington State. Some areas it is likely no one has ever walked on. Bring mosquito repellent. Be aware of kids and dogs near road entrances, as well as near the creek in the winter. It is located near major fun sites, it is a wilderness playground! Ames Creek dries up mid-July and returns in Sept/Oct. There are a lot of little paths crisscrossing the creek, likely raccoon and deer trails. We are happy to have your dogs visit - they will love it! Please remember to bring an extension cord to access power. There are fire pits. When possible firewood is provided gratis in the woodshed. They purchased truck loads of scrap glass to resell as fish glass, which is still seen today in the parking lot. They grew bamboo and sold imperfect veggies that farmers were going to throw away. Host goes to Safeway in town, daily, in the morning to check e-mail and Hipcamp messages and reply to Guests. Several guests have gotten lost relying on GPS only to find the property. Most do not have an issue. I suggest that you check with Google Map or another map service to know approximately where you are going. Plan on packing out your garbage and recycle trash, we have had a problem with bears raiding the trash cans. June 2022 just installed a park style grill. Bring your charcoal briquettes, grilling tools and steaks. Firewood is available at Safeway for about $8.00 a bundle. Host provides firewood for $10.00 a large tub, firewood is located at the camp site, pay cash at the camp site. Bring a small axe or a chopping tool to make kindling.

The cabin was larger than I expected! You enter into a large room with the main bed (bedding included), pullout couch, armchair and fireplace. Then there is the kitchen area with a good size dining table. Bathroom is right off the kitchen. No shower but that didn't bother us. Basic amenities for the kitchen is all provided and there are plenty of extra blankets. Just a PSA, your door code will be sent 30 minutes before the check in, we found ourselves worrying as the time got closer and closer!

Big, clean, private campsite. Its closer to the road than I thought it’d be but it’s a private residential road and there were only a handful of cars that were blocked by the trees. The location is quick and easy to get to from the city but still feels remote and private. It was a great spot for my dog. The nature trail is pretty and goes through dense fern covered forest. Only thing is I wish check-in time was a little bit earlier, at least in October, because I had to rush to set up camp before it got dark. Overall do recommend!

Another pitch perfect 🏕️😋 stay at Cedar River Resort! My pup and I stayed at the tent site again and the rain and generally soggy weather made me appreciate the tent pad even more. It’s so nice to not have to lug all the firewood in as well. I just get to breeze on in with my tiny 2 lb bag of kindling and use the firewood available on site for a very reasonable price. Communication with Tyler was quick. He answered my questions promptly. Easy back in. Good map. Easy to find. Pretty property. Dahlias and zinnias were beautiful. Chickens and goats were fun to watch. The site was perfect. Covered with timed Edison lights. Good water pressure. 50 Amp electric. The closest dump station is kanaskat-palmer state park. You can purchase fire wood and eggs. It is close to the skeet shooting range, but the noise was not disruptive. Only heard it briefly. Lots of evidence of elk or deer, but didn't see any.

We spent 12 nights here in September and absolutely loved it! We used it as a base camp while visiting family in Seattle. Their horse trail connects to a wonderful public trail system. The campground is scenic, secure, quiet, and private. We definitely plan to camp here again with our 26’ travel trailer. HELPFUL TIPS: 1) There is a dump station only 5 miles away at Carnation Storage Center for $9.00. 2) The entrance road to Rockin Z drops a very steep 10 degrees off of Hwy 202…out of an abundance of caution, I’d recommend disconnecting your weight distribution/load bars before arrival and departure to eliminate the remote chance of folding your A-frame (an event that wouldn’t be covered by your frame warranty.)

beautiful cute and quaint campsite. lovely couple that gave so many great recs and info on the site. celebrated my friends bday and first time camping for him and he said it was a lovely experience. very well kept area and grass was still soft in late sept. 10/10 would recommend especially if you dont want to camp with other campers around and prefer more secluded area without it being too far from the city (30 mins away from downtown seattle) and owners are nearby but never saw them throughout the trip just to say hello and goodbye:) thank you for the beautiful stay. also depending when you go they have lots of fruit - apple on trees and grapes on the vine in late September!

The farm is on 12 acres of sloping field set against a tall forested backdrop, and only a 5 minute walk from restaurants, shopping, bars and groceries. Three designated level campsites are spaced around the property, each with a fire pit and picnic table. Please pay attention to the fact that these are walk-in sites, and you'll be hauling your camping items from the parking area over uneven ground. We provide a cart to help tote your items, if needed. There is a communal central deck for camper's use, with a water spigot, power outlet and sink, plus a propane stove and some cooking utensils. A communal port-a-potty is available to campers. Parking is in one designated location, and campers must be prepared to walk about 300 feet over uneven ground to their campsite. The working farm fields are not open to campers, but can be admired as a backdrop. A You-Pick flower patch and farm stand at the entrance of the property are open for shopping, picture-taking and flower-picking seasonally. Pets and campfires (outside of burn bans) are permitted.
