Batwater is a great place to kayak, canoe, paddle board or row during the summer months. We have windy afternoons for windsurfers or sailors. The Columbia River is well known for salmon, and sturgeon. For an extra fee you can moor your larger boat while visiting. There are a volley ball and badminton set ups along with horse shoes during the summer months. We suggest swimming during the summer months when the tide is coming in or slack. This campsite is rather large and is perfect for an RV. There is gravel under the grass. Lots of sun but no shade. This site can also get quite windy in the afternoon. This site is on the river and has 110 electricity and water. You have to back in or out.

4 nights at Batwater Station on Columbia River

We had a lovely stay on Karin's property! The RV spot sat right on the river with plenty of privacy, but still close to the bathroom/shower and kitchen area. Everyone was very friendly and happy to suggest things to do and see and the property had everything we needed! We loved swimming off of the dock, paddleboarding and watching the wildlife around the property. Very relaxing spot and would definitely come back to stay again.

Weekend Trip to Williams Park campground

Definitely a must camp here! End of September so everyone just had been there for fishing season. Pretty much had the place to ourself. Everyone here is so welcoming and kind, we had full hook ups a few steps away from river and lots of land to have peaceful hikes. There a little house with just a full kitchen, washer and dryer and bathrooms even with a shower. A quick 35min drive from Astoria which we spent one of our days at. The lady assisting the owner was so kind to give my kids a golf cart tour of the dry camping area and were the walking trails are at. They loved it!!! Everything very well managed and cared for here. I do like to be able to drop trash instead of haul it back but not a deal breaker we will definitely be back.

Weekend Trip to Cedar to Surf Campground

Cedar and Surf has been marvelous to our family twice this summer and I highly recommend them to anyone with littles or just a desire to enjoy camping or rv-ing with access to the cleanest campsite bathroom I’ve ever experienced and consistent warm water. A small laundry room made the beach (which was within walking distance) so much less stressful with my chaotic little one who went through half their clothes in one day. The rec room with fridge and freezer and sink for dish washing is a lovely touch as well that made keeping our gear tidy much less of a chore. Thank you Sylvana and Al for making our Labor Day a wonderful and comfortable family adventure!

Weekend Trip to Glamping In The Wild

Had the best glamping trip in Pe Ell with my family—total private preserve with our own swimming hole and no crowds, just us and nature. Our dog loved roaming off-leash the whole weekend. It was super relaxing and honestly an ideal escape from the Labor Day chaos. Huge bonus: Marc (the host) was really responsive, answering questions fast and making sure we felt welcome the whole time. Can’t wait to go back!

We camped in our 30 ft coleman. We had a blast with the quick dune walk to the beach with out kids. The only thing I'd say is our spot was tight and didn't allow for our truck to fit there well. All the amenities were amazing clean and very apparently looked after well! My kiddos wishes they had their bikes if we stayed longer! definitely will next time!

This site is large and can accommodate a camper van of any size. Or 2 tents. It is parallel to the road on one side and wedged next to the river. There's minimal traffic on my country lane and my campers live this site. If you have dogs- this is on the end of the campground and allows privacy.

Great access to the beach, beautiful sunsets, and the campground was clean and quiet. We had a very relaxing stay.

We had a great time camping in our travel trailer and fishing. The hostess was wonderful and she made us feel very welcome, gave us a personal tour of the best spots to fish. The flushing toilets and hot showers were a definite bonus. Everyone in the family had a good time.

Sites were quiet and it's short walk to the beach. Host was accommodating when we asked for an extra night to extend our stay. We had to move to a new site but it worked out perfectly.

I loved the tent camping. Beautiful sites and not overcrowded. Clean restrooms and nice showers. Very nice owner and groundskeeper. Low light pollution so we were able to watch the shooting star show on our first night. Will definitely be back.

I loved the pure tranquility of this place. Really private BUT with all the amenities you would find within a house like fridge, fan, microwave, and more. There is a trail thats about 15 mins or from the tent that leads to a gem of river swimming area that was BEAUTIFUL. The shower and bathroom are right behind the outside of the tent and were nice too. Will def be back when I have the chance.

Weekend Trip to Williams Park campground

Beautiful property and accommodating host. We enjoyed a site right on the creek and were able to launch our kayak and paddle board directly from our campsite. Spent two hours exploring the creek and Willapa Bay. Very nice communal kitchen area and showers/rest rooms. Would stay here again (and again).
