The highlight of the cabin is the log bridge across the creek! You will feel like you are on an amazing hiking trail or in a fairytale on the rainforest-like grounds with a babbling brook or rushing creek running through it depending on how much rain we have had. Our property is directly across the street from access to the national forest service roads with miles of roads and trails. PLEASE NOTE BEFORE BOOKING: The cabin is older and rustic, and we are renovating it over time. There is a very steep/narrow staircase that excesses the second floor, and the twin bed artea is part of the lofty and is not an enclosed bedroom. The living space and kitchen are open concept, and there is seating for 4 at the dining room table and 2 countertop barstools as well. The adorable farmhouse style kitchen has everything you need to cook meals during your stay, including all cooking essentials and basic spices. We also have pancake mix and quick oats for our guests in case you forgot to bring your own breakfast. If you are lucky enough to stay in late summer, you can walk across the street to pick wild blackberries. The living room has a large TV and a nice selection of DVDs to choose from. We also have Starlink for both internet and streaming services. Cell service can be hit or miss depending on provider. The bathroom is on the lower level, as well as the first bedroom which has a queen bed. The 2nd bedroom opens up with a barn door and also has a queen bed as well as beautiful views of the creek and trees. For this reason it is my favorite bedroom! At the bottom of the stairs is the mud room which is a an enclosed patio and is a great place to store recreational equipment or wet/muddy items. It also allows excess to one of the decks which features outdoor seating and a bbq.

The bed has a six inch memory foam mattress with extra blankets and pillows available. Everything is washed with free and clear laundry detergent for any sensitivities. We provide a small refrigerator, a 2 burner stove with pots and pans for light cooking, coffee making supplies (reusable keurig pods or pour over coffee along with creamers and sugars), wine openers, dishes, and more. We have 2 tables where you can enjoy meals and games either indoors or outdoors. You will be one block away from Highland Park which has a tennis court and baseball field. Less than a mile north, you can explore the West Duwamish Greenbelt Trails. Only two blocks south of the property is Westcrest Park that hosts a community garden, a dog park, and small trails in their greenbelt. You’re also walking distance to downtown White Center, which has a microbrewery, a roller skating rink, a gay bar, a plant store, and plenty of coffee shops and restaurants.

PLEASE NOTE BEFORE BOOKING: The cabin is older and rustic, and we are renovating it over time. There is a very steep/narrow staircase that excesses the second floor, and the twin bed artea is part of the lofty and is not an enclosed bedroom. The living space and kitchen are open concept, and there is seating for 4 at the dining room table and 2 countertop barstools as well. The adorable farmhouse style kitchen has everything you need to cook meals during your stay, including all cooking essentials and basic spices. We also have pancake mix and quick oats for our guests in case you forgot to bring your own breakfast. If you are lucky enough to stay in late summer, you can walk across the street to pick wild blackberries. The living room has a large TV and a nice selection of DVDs to choose from. We also have Starlink for both internet and streaming services. Cell service can be hit or miss depending on provider. The bathroom is on the lower level, as well as the first bedroom which has a queen bed. The 2nd bedroom opens up with a barn door and also has a queen bed as well as beautiful views of the creek and trees. For this reason it is my favorite bedroom! At the bottom of the stairs is the mud room which is a an enclosed patio and is a great place to store recreational equipment or wet/muddy items. It also allows excess to one of the decks which features outdoor seating and a bbq.

We have 2 tables where you can enjoy meals and games either indoors or outdoors. You will be one block away from Highland Park which has a tennis court and baseball field. Only two blocks south of the property is Westcrest Park that hosts a community garden, a dog park, and small trails in their greenbelt. Welcome to Rainier Explorer Cabin in beautiful Packwood, the gateway to Mount Rainier National Park and home to White Pass Ski Resort! This stylish retreat is the perfect home base for all your mountain adventures. The large deck features a 4 person hot tub w/ gazebo and outdoor seating, and leads to the lighted wooded pathway to the firepit. The chabin-chic interior has been newly updated and features an electric fireplace for added coziness! River access is a 5 min walk away as well. This petite yet well laid out space has everything you need to enjoy your trip to the mountains, including a variety of board games and dvds, comfortable and stylish furnishings, a well stocked newly remodeled kitchen, brand new 4 person hot tub with gazebo, outdoor firepit, and more! The cabin is located in High Valley Country club and is a 5 minute drive to downtown Packwood, 10 miles from the Mount Rainier National park entrance, 20 minutes to White Pass Ski Resort, and is the gateway to Gifford Pinchot National Forest and Goat Rocks Wilderness. The property is heavily treed within the scenic neighborhood. Currently, the property is not fenced and neighbors are visible in the fashion of a regular neighborhood (cabin is not alone in the middle of the woods please note) a wood privacy fence will be added before summer, but currently the neighbor to the left is in very close proximity though the neighboring cabin is vacant during the winter.

My wife and I stayed for one night with the idea of shutting away from technology for the weekend and boy did it deliver. This place is awesome! Dawson has done an amazing job with creating the space. It has everything you could need! You can really tell a lot of thought has gone into the place and a lot of work has been involved. We had the best time and were so cozy together. We were lucky to have rain over night and it was so peaceful listening to the rain on the roof as we fell asleep. The directions provided made it very easy to find and a couple of wagons and a lantern are available to help you get your things out to the cabin. As we came in November, we didn’t get the opportunity to use the outdoor space. But we still braved using the shower and it’s worth it, so toasty and incredible views! Inside is cozy and comfortable. The kitchenette has everything you could need. That bed though! So comfy, as someone who deals with chronic pain, I really appreciate how comfortable the bed is! It was really nice to get off grid a little and put our phones away for the night. We had such a good time we are definitely looking to come back again next year in the summer hopefully! If you get the chance to stay here, do it!

We used this cabin as a base for exploring the forests and parks on the Olympic peninsula, and we had a blast. We were able to explore everything we wanted to, and return to a nice cozy and quiet cabin to rest and recover for the next day's dventures. The cabin had everything we needed for relaxing, and the hosts were responsive and had help available if anything small came up. Great place, would rent again if in the area.

Beautiful, well thought out, and clean space that had everything one needs to create beautiful memories with friends and families. The whole property is gorgeous with stunning views. We enjoyed our stay at the rustic A-Frame cabin with gorgeous views. It was a great place to kick back and relax and yet be close to a plethora of recreational opportunities. We appreciated the well stocked kitchen with quality kitchenware. We enjoyed, with the use of the provided spotting scope, watching the groups of Bald Eagles feeding on the mud flats at low tide. We ESPECIALLY appreciated that our dog was welcome.

I cannot recommend this place enough. So, so, so, beautiful and romantic! Easily one of the best parts were the views from the cabin. From the outdoor toilet/shower to the patio- you won’t be disappointed with your surroundings. The host provided clear & helpful instructions for arrival. Inside we found some recommendations for different local spots to visit (eateries, hikes, lakes/beaches, and more) - which I thought was very thoughtful & a lovely touch!

We stayed in the Coho Cabins - what a luxury! Clean, upgraded, with every amenity you could think of, including a Nespresso. The park itself felt safe, with a nice spa-like hot tub with water views, great staff, and even games in the community area. Walk across the street to a deck with stunning views (you might even catch a glimpse of a seal) and a fairly quiet beach area. I spent many relaxing mornings on that deck. Only complaint is that the photos of the views from within the cabin are inaccurate - the cabins are stacked right next to each other, so there is no mountain or water view as advertised (just trees or the other cabins). Otherwise, such a nice experience.
