We are pet friendly. Well behaved dogs can be off leash this vacation The nearest towns are Port Angeles, Port Townsend, Victoria B.C., and Sequim where you’ll find restaurants, wineries, and more. The nearest attractions are Olympic National Park, Hurricane Ridge, Olympic Discovery Trail, Ferry Dock to Victoria B.C., Lake Crescent, and Hoh Rainforest where you can enjoy activities such as: boating, fishing, wildlife viewing, winter activities, hiking, biking, etc. Also, you can ride directly from the campsite to some fabulous mountain biking trails at Dungeness Trails. Thank you all for 2025!!! If the ground is not frozen, reach out! I may be able to book you in. Stay in our cabin at the estuary on Turners Bay where wildlife is abundant and easy to see. The Bamboo cabin is very private and has everything you need to just hang out. Saltgrass's location allows for many fun outdoor activities such as hiking at Kukutali Preserve State Park, crabbing, fishing, birding, bicycling and playing on the beach, my kids actually found a bottle with a message inside years ago. Alternatively, you could explore the many little shops in the towns of La Conner and Anacortes. There are multiple activities available, I would suggest calling ahead in order to book kayaking, rock climbing, whale watching, or a sailing charter. You could easily take a day trip to the San Juan Islands by taking a ferry ride out of Anacortes, walk on or book ahead if you are taking your car. Also, the Swinomish Casino and golf course are within two miles. While you're here you may meet our pup Turner, we also have two cats and several chickens. On the property are your hosts Jeri and Nancy, as well as our handyman Shawn, Saltgrass boasts beautiful flowers, vegetable gardens, fruit trees, and yes, the Bay. We try to live harmoniously with the land. We would love to share our space with you! Due to potential freezing weather and vulnerable water pipes, we have changed our booking to making a reservation confirmation. It has been a wonderful summer for us here at Saltgrass, meeting new people and welcoming back our repeat guests. We thank you all for visiting our place and hope we meet your expectations. October 10 2025, A new addition to the bamboo cabin; we built gates that allow you to secure the deck as an outside space for your dog. Welcome to Tranquil Acres. We have transformed our five acres in the “Pearl of the Peninsula” for the world to be your oyster during your stay with us. The Big Quilcene river is a water wonderland with private riverside access available to all campers just a short easy walk from each campsite. Here is where you can enjoy the cooling relief from the Summer heat, bask in the sun on cool Spring days, listen to the soothing sounds of the water and wildlife, interact with fellow campers, as well as fishing for Coho salmon in the Fall for a full meal deal experience. (Fishing license required). The river access “Common Area” is for all campers to enjoy with plenty of space to also have some alone time. If you are a more adventurous camper, Tranquil Acres is perfectly located to be your “home base” for extended stays, allowing you to explore the many wonders that the Olympic Peninsula has to offer as easy day trips. We are happy to answer any questions and share some of our favorite hikes, lakes, restaurants, and historical areas we have loved over these many years. My family has lived in this area since the early 80's and after almost a decade of renting this property and becoming a part of the amazing community of Quilcene, I had the opportunity to buy this land and “pay it forward” by creating Tranquil Acres for all to enjoy. My children that grew up here, continue to help and support this endeavor as adults. “It’s a King Thing”. Camping Etiquette: **Please read before booking** First and foremost, the road leading down to the camping area is a steep gravel drive. Going down isn’t usually a problem…it’s getting back up again. When you get to the bottom, the rest of the roadway leading to all campsites is a natural dirt road with tree root humps that isn’t designed for low clearance cars. AWD or 4WD is recommended, but please check with us before booking to see if your vehicle can have access all the way to your campsite and make it back up the hill. If not, we do have parking available at the top of the hill safely located next to our house, and transport options available to help you pack it in and pack it out without risking damage to your vehicle or the land and still enjoy a wonderful camping experience. Please inquire before booking if you have a low clearance vehicle so we can discuss your options. Please be respectful of the land. We are a “pack it in, pack it out” campground and wish to provide this space for folks to enjoy for many years to come. The Quilcene transfer station is located nearby and is open on Saturday, Tuesday and Thursday. (hours may differ on holidays). We do offer waste disposal as an add-on at checkout. Recycling must be separated from solid waste and contained in the bags provided and will have clear instructions of what is recyclable. Potable water is not available in the camping area. It is okay to use water from the river if you have a certified filter system (at your own risk). If you are the bold and brave that likes to bathe in cold waters, please be mindful of the eco-system and the damage that soap can do to our natural habitat. Dishwashing is not allowed in the river at any time. Like most campgrounds, our quiet time is 10pm-8am. Please be respectful to your camp neighbors at all times. Sounds carry easily in the woods. Play, explore, have fun, and stay awake to enjoy your space for as long as you want, just be mindful to use “camping voice” after 10pm. Communication is encouraged and appreciated! If you need anything, are having any issues with fellow campers, or just have a question… please don’t hesitate to get in touch… day or night. We love being able to share this wonderful land for folks to have a joyful camping experience in our neck of the woods with their fellow campers. Dogs are allowed at all campsites. Cats too if you have a camping cat! Please be mindful of your neighbors and that not everyone feels comfortable around dogs or may be allergic. Off leash is allowed if your dog is not aggressive with humans or other dogs. You know your dog best, and we will trust that you will use your best judgement in any circumstance while you are staying with us. If there is an issue in this regard, we will ask you to keep your dog leashed at all times, or under extreme circumstances may be forced to ask you to leave. We would rather not do either of those things, so please be aware of where your pet is at all times. Everyone loves a campfire! No one loves a wildfire. The lushness of the Olympic National Forest can be deceiving. Wildfires do still happen here and we expect you to extinguish your fire if no one is at the campsite, before going to sleep, and prior to departure. Firewood is provided as an add-on at checkout and will be at your site when you arrive, or you are also welcomed to bring your own. You will need to provide your own paper and flame to get your campfire going. There are many small sticks and twigs around every site to use as kindling, but please don’t use any wood you find on the land that won’t entirely fit inside of the rock ring. This is dangerous because wood holds heat and can continue to burn and ignite leaves, sticks and twigs outside of the firepit. If it is windy at any point during your stay, we respectfully request that you don’t have a fire while the winds are blowing. You can see if there is a recreational fire burn ban prior to arrival by visiting www.orcaa.org or send us a message. It is rare that recreational fires are banned in this area, but it does happen on occasion. Burning any kind of garbage in your campfire is not allowed at any time. Doing so means it is no longer a recreational fire and could permanently stop us from allowing campers to stay here. We offer a variety of add-on features that can turn your camping adventure into a glamping experience. Need a tent? No problem, we will even set it up for you and take it down. Don’t have a stove to cook with? We have that too. When we say: “It’s a King Thing”… it means we intend to provide you with an experience that leaves you feeling like Royalty. Add-on descriptions (Updated) Essentials: Toilet Available: 2 composting toilets are conveniently located for all campers and cleaned daily. Bring your own TP and please don’t leave the roll in the Shat Shack or Poop Hut when you’re not doin ur bizness. There are instructions posted if you have never used a composting toilet. Pets Allowed: Off Leash You know your dog best. Please be mindful and aware if they are aggressive towards other dogs or humans. Fire Ban in effect: (no) River rock ring firepits available at all sites. You are welcome to bring your own firewood, or add-on at checkout. Lots of sticks and twigs on the ground available for kindling. Bring your own paper and flame to start your fire. Please don’t use wood from the land that doesn’t fully fit inside of the firepit. Amenities: Kitchen Available: Grill over firepit available upon request. Forget to pack a much needed cooking utensil? Please ask and I may have one you can borrow. Picnic Table Available: All sites have a picnic table. No Potable Water: Bring your own bottled water for drinking/cooking, or you can access river water with your own certified filtration system. We do not recommend drinking or cooking with water from the river that has not been filtered, doing so is at your own risk. We are just minutes away from 2 different stores in Quilcene. No Showers: Bathing in the river is allowed if you are brave enough to handle the cold water. Please be mindful of the natural eco-system and use only biodegradable soap minimally. The Big Quilcene river plays an important role in this region supporting wildlife, aquatic life, plant life and human life. No Wifi: But all major phone providers do get service in our campground area. Pack it out: Garbage/recycling is available as an add-on feature, otherwise, please pack it in/pack it out and leave it better than you found it. Laundry Absent: There is a laundromat in Quilcene just a short drive from our campsite. Available offers: Firewood $6.00/bundle Locally sourced firewood with a range of sizes will be waiting at your campsite when you arrive. Bring your own paper and flame, and there are many small sticks and twigs on the ground just waiting to be useful as kindling! (Cash or Venmo is accepted if you need to order more during your stay. We are not allowed to charge your card for additional products/rentals after you book your site.) Tiki torch fluid- citronella based $10.00 A great ambiance for the great outdoors and helps keep pesky insects out of your camp. (Tiki torches are provided at all sites.) Garbage/Recycling $15.00 ** We are offering this option on a trial basis.** Containers will be provided for your garbage and recycling at your site during your stay. Clear instructions will be provided for what is recyclable and what is solid waste. PLEASE adhere to the instructions so we can continue offering this service to future campers. Large tent – sleeps up to 12 - $55.00 We will set it up before you arrive and break it down after you leave. Large two room tent with 2 doors. Broom will be provided, and we just ask that you sweep the floor prior to departure. There are exceptions to this…so please message me if you have more than one vehicle in your group, or you have a low clearance vehicle so we can discuss. Extra cars can park safely next to our house at the top of the hill. ACTIVITIES ON THE LAND OR NEARBY BIKING: multiple mountain biking trails for any level of rider. Check www.singletracks.com for information about trails located in Quilcene and nearby areas just a short drive away. FISHING: The salmon start running on the Big Quilcene in September. Fishing license required. There are other options for fishing around the area depending on what you want to fish for, go ahead and message me if you want some insider information. HIKING: There are many hikes close by with a variety of difficulty levels. I have hiked pretty much all of them and would love to share some of my favorites with you. PADDLING: Quilcene Bay, Lake Leland as well as other options just a short drive away. WILDLIFE WATCHING: We have deer that wander through the campground from time to time and in the mid-late summer it is a real treat to see their fawns. There is a fun assortment of birds, owls and even herons and hawks that can be spotted while hanging out at the river in our common area. If you are lucky, you can even spot a bald eagle passing by. Grey whales and Orca whales migrate north in the late Spring and Summer and there are whale watching tours available in Sequim and Port Angeles. There is also the Olympic Game Farm Park in Sequim that is a drive through wildlife preserve that is a lot of fun for the whole family just 45mins away. (Absolutely no hunting is allowed on Tranquil Acres and we respectfully request that you keep your distance from wildlife for the safety of all involved.) NATURAL FEATURES ON OR NEAR THE LAND: BEACH: There are several Bays and Lakes in the area that I would love to tell you about that are easy to access…please don’t hesitate to ask. FOREST: We are located on the eastern side of the Olympic National Forest, and there is a Ranger Station just a couple minutes away. The rainforest eco system of this area is truly an adventure worth exploring, and our Tranquil Acres has all the native trees and plants of this unique region that makes it feel like you are living in the heart of a rainforest…but with less rain, and slightly warmer temperatures than the central and western side of the Olympic rainforest in the summer. LAKES: Lake Leland Lake and Crocker Lake are the nearest most accessible lakes in the area. There are many others, please feel free to ask about any lakes you find in the area and I can let you know if it is suitable for what you are wanting from a lake experience. RIVER, STREAM OR CREEK: Tranquil Acres is located on the Big Quilcene River. It’s beautiful and most of the time secluded (except during salmon season in September when there are fisherfolks that have public access to the river itself). There are many other rivers in the general area, but none quite as awesome as our little stretch of the Big Quilcene. SWIMMING HOLE: Yes, various options at different times of the year…and It’s COLD! Bring a float device for a gentler experience in the hot summer sun or have a bold and brave Polar Plunge regardless of what month it is. (AT YOUR OWN RISK, please be mindful of how strong the river current is at different times of the year and do not let young children into the main current without a life jacket or without adult supervision. Highly recommended to wear water shoes at all times/all ages.) The Big Quilcene is a River that anyone could slip and fall on the rocks regardless of age and how low the water is. WATERFALL: The Falls View loop trail just a few miles south of Quilcene is an easy 1 mile hike that has a spectacular view of the large waterfall that flows into the Big Quilcene River. I am happy to talk with you and answer any questions you may have about local adventures in the area. MOUNTAINOUS: Mt. Olympus reigns supreme over them all, but the Olympic Mountain Range has 9 other distinct Mountain peaks, and there are a variety of ways to experience this unique mountain range…just ask me how, I am happy to share the variety of ways to enjoy the Olympic Peninsula. FARMS: We have multiple organic farms in the area where you can purchase seasonal fruits and vegetables. There are also many community activities at various times of the year to get to know this little Pearl of the Peninsula.

This property is supposedly one of the first homesteads in Jordan Road. This information is based on stories from some old timers my husband had spoken to in the past when he bought this property in 2002. The owner back in the old days sold off parcels and parcels of lands back then. The property is all fenced in, a place where your fur buddy can run free so you don't have to worry of the baby getting lost! Hopefully you'll get a visit from a deer and hear the hooting of the owl. :) You are welcome to check out our goats too if you want (they're in their enclosed space). The surroundings are peaceful and private, you will enjoy exploring the trails all around the 9 acres out of 12 we are sharing. Stroll down the hill to listen to the sounds of the creek and fish ladder. Our campground cabins are about 4.9 miles from the 'Granite Falls Fish Ladder'. Visit this beauty at Mountain Loop Highway if you fancy a little hike. Drive around 7 miles to the 'Lime Kiln Trailhead. The trail is full of amazing views and history. Our place is only about 45 minutes from Seattle. Why not pack your tent and sleeping bags then drive here after work, then leave in the morning. Leave your worries behind.. enjoy nature.

Watch the sunset into the world famous San Juan Islands. Our property is located on the scenic Chuckanut Drive. It is a 15 minute walk to Taylor United's Seafood Bar that has beer and wine. You will need boots just below the knee, or hiking shoes that will get wet. The Creek crossing is a little deeper this year. You will also be crossing a muddy area for about 20 yards, you will sink about 3 inches into the mud. The hike into the campsite takes 12 minutes. You need to contact me to check the tides, as to be able to get to the campsite. We need to hike in below a 5 foot tide. Starting October, the campsite closes for winter. The *Purple Cottage* -- was found & salvaged (recycled!)-- moved onto the back of my property in 2012. This 16 X 12' place has been my studio in the past, but has offered overflow for friends & ; family. Nestled in the woods and ever-so-private, the cottage has a pull-out double futon, plus a small sleeping loft and can accommodate 1 -2 nicely (we will consider 3 if you have a small child, but it would be a tight fit!... There is a very small sleeping loft in the cottage.). There is a “en suite kitchen in the cottage that has a small fridge, microwave, and two burner stovetop cooking unit. The cottage offers privacy in a wooded garden setting. The bathhouse, with hot shower, vanity and; toilet --are all steps away (and covered) from the main cabin. The Purple Cottage sits on a shy wooded acre, with greenbelt buffers all around, maximizing the sense of privacy. our vintage Shasta Trailer across the driveway of the Purple Cottage is currently used as a music studio (and rarely as family/guest overflow), and I have my own small Artist Studio located also on the back of the property. Even with all the little enclave of buildings, The Purple Cottage retains a private feel all to itself, with reliable Wi-Fi available at the cottage. . It is located in a quiet little neighborhood, about 6 miles from Langley & 6 miles from Freeland.. Private beach access is across the road and a 15 minute walk up the street, where you can beach comb & explore the shoreline out at our little point. The private deck off the side of the Purple Cottage offers views of the gardens & flora, and has a little gas barbecue. There is also a delightful hot tub on the deck, which is a wonderful feature. An outdoor kitchen on the edge of the woods allows a roomier “camp cooking” experience with Colman stove & cold running water (season permitting). We are located 6 miles from the picturesque town of Langley and equal distance from Freeland, on the south end of Whidbey. Our area is very *bike-able* and either direction will get you to town! We are a 20 acre tree farm in the making on beautiful Whidbey Island. The property is rough graded with lots of areas to explore. Close to town for supplies but quiet, and crazy stars at night. We have cleared two of the cedar groves on the south side, and they are perfect campsites. The sites are 75'-100' apart, more private than a state park, but close enough that a bigger group would feel close. Portable Toilet is on site 100' from the Big Cedar site. May through October Cedar Hallow- Our original campsite, sports a hammock, a picnic table, a fire pit, a good area for 2 tents, probably 6 people. The site has huge cedar trees all around so it's filtered sunlight most of the day, & warm in the summer! Big Cedar- Our bigger site. Equipped with a fire pit, a picnic table, hammock, and space for 3-4 tents, probably 12 people comfortably. There is a dirt road that circles the property, it's great for walks and animal viewing but can get muddy in the rain so be prepared. Parking is a gravel lot directly across the little dirt road from the sites. Unload at the site then move to parking as to not block the road. Trucks with campers can pull tight to a site but don't pull into a site please, obey standard fallen tree limb boundaries. I keep a large water tote on-site with hose water for washing dishes or boiling.

Thank you all for 2025!!! If the ground is not frozen, reach out! I may be able to book you in. Stay in our cabin at the estuary on Turners Bay where wildlife is abundant and easy to see. The Bamboo cabin is very private and has everything you need to just hang out. Saltgrass's location allows for many fun outdoor activities such as hiking at Kukutali Preserve State Park, crabbing, fishing, birding, bicycling and playing on the beach, my kids actually found a bottle with a message inside years ago. Alternatively, you could explore the many little shops in the towns of La Conner and Anacortes. There are multiple activities available, I would suggest calling ahead in order to book kayaking, rock climbing, whale watching, or a sailing charter. You could easily take a day trip to the San Juan Islands by taking a ferry ride out of Anacortes, walk on or book ahead if you are taking your car. Also, the Swinomish Casino and golf course are within two miles. While you're here you may meet our pup Turner, we also have two cats and several chickens. On the property are your hosts Jeri and Nancy, as well as our handyman Shawn, Saltgrass boasts beautiful flowers, vegetable gardens, fruit trees, and yes, the Bay. We try to live harmoniously with the land. We would love to share our space with you! Due to potential freezing weather and vulnerable water pipes, we have changed our booking to making a reservation confirmation. It has been a wonderful summer for us here at Saltgrass, meeting new people and welcoming back our repeat guests. We thank you all for visiting our place and hope we meet your expectations. Welcome to Tranquil Acres. We have transformed our five acres in the “Pearl of the Peninsula” for the world to be your oyster during your stay with us. The Big Quilcene river is a water wonderland with private riverside access available to all campers just a short easy walk from each campsite. Here is where you can enjoy the cooling relief from the Summer heat, bask in the sun on cool Spring days, listen to the soothing sounds of the water and wildlife, interact with fellow campers, as well as fishing for Coho salmon in the Fall for a full meal deal experience. (Fishing license required). The river access “Common Area” is for all campers to enjoy with plenty of space to also have some alone time. If you are a more adventurous camper, Tranquil Acres is perfectly located to be your “home base” for extended stays, allowing you to explore the many wonders that the Olympic Peninsula has to offer as easy day trips. We are happy to answer any questions and share some of our favorite hikes, lakes, restaurants, and historical areas we have loved over these many years. My family has lived in this area since the early 80's and after almost a decade of renting this property and becoming a part of the amazing community of Quilcene, I had the opportunity to buy this land and “pay it forward” by creating Tranquil Acres for all to enjoy. My children that grew up here, continue to help and support this endeavor as adults. “It’s a King Thing”. Camping Etiquette: **Please read before booking** First and foremost, the road leading down to the camping area is a steep gravel drive. Going down isn’t usually a problem…it’s getting back up again. When you get to the bottom, the rest of the roadway leading to all campsites is a natural dirt road with tree root humps that isn’t designed for low clearance cars. AWD or 4WD is recommended, but please check with us before booking to see if your vehicle can have access all the way to your campsite and make it back up the hill. If not, we do have parking available at the top of the hill safely located next to our house, and transport options available to help you pack it in and pack it out without risking damage to your vehicle or the land and still enjoy a wonderful camping experience. Please inquire before booking if you have a low clearance vehicle so we can discuss your options. Please be respectful of the land. We are a “pack it in, pack it out” campground and wish to provide this space for folks to enjoy for many years to come. The Quilcene transfer station is located nearby and is open on Saturday, Tuesday and Thursday. (hours may differ on holidays). We do offer waste disposal as an add-on at checkout. Recycling must be separated from solid waste and contained in the bags provided and will have clear instructions of what is recyclable. Potable water is not available in the camping area. It is okay to use water from the river if you have a certified filter system (at your own risk). If you are the bold and brave that likes to bathe in cold waters, please be mindful of the eco-system and the damage that soap can do to our natural habitat. Dishwashing is not allowed in the river at any time. Like most campgrounds, our quiet time is 10pm-8am. Please be respectful to your camp neighbors at all times. Sounds carry easily in the woods. Play, explore, have fun, and stay awake to enjoy your space for as long as you want, just be mindful to use “camping voice” after 10pm. Communication is encouraged and appreciated! If you need anything, are having any issues with fellow campers, or just have a question… please don’t hesitate to get in touch… day or night. We love being able to share this wonderful land for folks to have a joyful camping experience in our neck of the woods with their fellow campers. Dogs are allowed at all campsites. Cats too if you have a camping cat! Please be mindful of your neighbors and that not everyone feels comfortable around dogs or may be allergic. Off leash is allowed if your dog is not aggressive with humans or other dogs. You know your dog best, and we will trust that you will use your best judgement in any circumstance while you are staying with us. If there is an issue in this regard, we will ask you to keep your dog leashed at all times, or under extreme circumstances may be forced to ask you to leave. We would rather not do either of those things, so please be aware of where your pet is at all times. Everyone loves a campfire! No one loves a wildfire. The lushness of the Olympic National Forest can be deceiving. Wildfires do still happen here and we expect you to extinguish your fire if no one is at the campsite, before going to sleep, and prior to departure. Firewood is provided as an add-on at checkout and will be at your site when you arrive, or you are also welcomed to bring your own. You will need to provide your own paper and flame to get your campfire going. There are many small sticks and twigs around every site to use as kindling, but please don’t use any wood you find on the land that won’t entirely fit inside of the rock ring. This is dangerous because wood holds heat and can continue to burn and ignite leaves, sticks and twigs outside of the firepit. If it is windy at any point during your stay, we respectfully request that you don’t have a fire while the winds are blowing. You can see if there is a recreational fire burn ban prior to arrival by visiting www.orcaa.org or send us a message. It is rare that recreational fires are banned in this area, but it does happen on occasion. Burning any kind of garbage in your campfire is not allowed at any time. Doing so means it is no longer a recreational fire and could permanently stop us from allowing campers to stay here. We offer a variety of add-on features that can turn your camping adventure into a glamping experience. Need a tent? No problem, we will even set it up for you and take it down. Don’t have a stove to cook with? We have that too. When we say: “It’s a King Thing”… it means we intend to provide you with an experience that leaves you feeling like Royalty. Add-on descriptions (Updated) Essentials: Toilet Available: 2 composting toilets are conveniently located for all campers and cleaned daily. Bring your own TP and please don’t leave the roll in the Shat Shack or Poop Hut when you’re not doin ur bizness. There are instructions posted if you have never used a composting toilet. Pets Allowed: Off Leash You know your dog best. Please be mindful and aware if they are aggressive towards other dogs or humans. Fire Ban in effect: (no) River rock ring firepits available at all sites. You are welcome to bring your own firewood, or add-on at checkout. Lots of sticks and twigs on the ground available for kindling. Bring your own paper and flame to start your fire. Please don’t use wood from the land that doesn’t fully fit inside of the firepit. Amenities: Kitchen Available: Grill over firepit available upon request. Forget to pack a much needed cooking utensil? Please ask and I may have one you can borrow. Picnic Table Available: All sites have a picnic table. No Potable Water: Bring your own bottled water for drinking/cooking, or you can access river water with your own certified filtration system. We do not recommend drinking or cooking with water from the river that has not been filtered, doing so is at your own risk. We are just minutes away from 2 different stores in Quilcene. No Showers: Bathing in the river is allowed if you are brave enough to handle the cold water. Please be mindful of the natural eco-system and use only biodegradable soap minimally. The Big Quilcene river plays an important role in this region supporting wildlife, aquatic life, plant life and human life. No Wifi: But all major phone providers do get service in our campground area. Pack it out: Garbage/recycling is available as an add-on feature, otherwise, please pack it in/pack it out and leave it better than you found it. Laundry Absent: There is a laundromat in Quilcene just a short drive from our campsite. Available offers: Firewood $6.00/bundle Locally sourced firewood with a range of sizes will be waiting at your campsite when you arrive. Bring your own paper and flame, and there are many small sticks and twigs on the ground just waiting to be useful as kindling! (Cash or Venmo is accepted if you need to order more during your stay. We are not allowed to charge your card for additional products/rentals after you book your site.) Tiki torch fluid- citronella based $10.00 A great ambiance for the great outdoors and helps keep pesky insects out of your camp. (Tiki torches are provided at all sites.) Garbage/Recycling $15.00 ** We are offering this option on a trial basis.** Containers will be provided for your garbage and recycling at your site during your stay. Clear instructions will be provided for what is recyclable and what is solid waste. PLEASE adhere to the instructions so we can continue offering this service to future campers. Large tent – sleeps up to 12 - $55.00 We will set it up before you arrive and break it down after you leave. Large two room tent with 2 doors. Broom will be provided, and we just ask that you sweep the floor prior to departure. (This rental is not available for Site 4) Small tent – sleeps 2-3 $25.00 We will set it up before you arrive and break it down after you leave. Broom will be provided, and we just ask that you sweep the floor prior to departure. Cot $10.00 Don’t have an air mattress? Enjoy our high quality cot that also comes with a sleeping pad. Instructions are included for you to set up and place where you want it inside of your tent, and break it down prior to departure. (if you are not able to do this yourself, please message me!) Propane Grill $15.00 Propane is included. Bring your own flame, follow the easy instructions and Bon Appetit! Propane fire pit $40.00 Still have the campfire feel when there is a recreational burn ban by renting one of our propane fire pits. Easy peasy…turn the knob and strike a match! Extra Car Fee $10.00 Only 1 car is allowed per site. This helps reduce the wear and tear on the land. There are exceptions to this…so please message me if you have more than one vehicle in your group, or you have a low clearance vehicle so we can discuss. Extra cars can park safely next to our house at the top of the hill. ACTIVITIES ON THE LAND OR NEARBY BIKING: multiple mountain biking trails for any level of rider. Check www.singletracks.com for information about trails located in Quilcene and nearby areas just a short drive away. FISHING: The salmon start running on the Big Quilcene in September. Fishing license required. There are other options for fishing around the area depending on what you want to fish for, go ahead and message me if you want some insider information. HIKING: There are many hikes close by with a variety of difficulty levels. I have hiked pretty much all of them and would love to share some of my favorites with you. PADDLING: Quilcene Bay, Lake Leland as well as other options just a short drive away. WILDLIFE WATCHING: We have deer that wander through the campground from time to time and in the mid-late summer it is a real treat to see their fawns. There is a fun assortment of birds, owls and even herons and hawks that can be spotted while hanging out at the river in our common area. If you are lucky, you can even spot a bald eagle passing by. Grey whales and Orca whales migrate north in the late Spring and Summer and there are whale watching tours available in Sequim and Port Angeles. There is also the Olympic Game Farm Park in Sequim that is a drive through wildlife preserve that is a lot of fun for the whole family just 45mins away. (Absolutely no hunting is allowed on Tranquil Acres and we respectfully request that you keep your distance from wildlife for the safety of all involved.) NATURAL FEATURES ON OR NEAR THE LAND: BEACH: There are several Bays and Lakes in the area that I would love to tell you about that are easy to access…please don’t hesitate to ask. FOREST: We are located on the eastern side of the Olympic National Forest, and there is a Ranger Station just a couple minutes away. The rainforest eco system of this area is truly an adventure worth exploring, and our Tranquil Acres has all the native trees and plants of this unique region that makes it feel like you are living in the heart of a rainforest…but with less rain, and slightly warmer temperatures than the central and western side of the Olympic rainforest in the summer. LAKES: Lake Leland Lake and Crocker Lake are the nearest most accessible lakes in the area. There are many others, please feel free to ask about any lakes you find in the area and I can let you know if it is suitable for what you are wanting from a lake experience. RIVER, STREAM OR CREEK: Tranquil Acres is located on the Big Quilcene River. It’s beautiful and most of the time secluded (except during salmon season in September when there are fisherfolks that have public access to the river itself). There are many other rivers in the general area, but none quite as awesome as our little stretch of the Big Quilcene. SWIMMING HOLE: Yes, various options at different times of the year…and It’s COLD! Bring a float device for a gentler experience in the hot summer sun or have a bold and brave Polar Plunge regardless of what month it is. (AT YOUR OWN RISK, please be mindful of how strong the river current is at different times of the year and do not let young children into the main current without a life jacket or without adult supervision. Highly recommended to wear water shoes at all times/all ages.) The Big Quilcene is a River that anyone could slip and fall on the rocks regardless of age and how low the water is. WATERFALL: The Falls View loop trail just a few miles south of Quilcene is an easy 1 mile hike that has a spectacular view of the large waterfall that flows into the Big Quilcene River. I am happy to talk with you and answer any questions you may have about local adventures in the area. MOUNTAINOUS: Mt. Olympus reigns supreme over them all, but the Olympic Mountain Range has 9 other distinct Mountain peaks, and there are a variety of ways to experience this unique mountain range…just ask me how, I am happy to share the variety of ways to enjoy the Olympic Peninsula. FARMS: We have multiple organic farms in the area where you can purchase seasonal fruits and vegetables. There are also many community activities at various times of the year to get to know this little Pearl of the Peninsula.

This information is based on stories from some old timers my husband had spoken to in the past when he bought this property in 2002. The owner back in the old days sold off parcels and parcels of lands back then. The property is all fenced in, a place where your fur buddy can run free so you don't have to worry of the baby getting lost! Hopefully you'll get a visit from a deer and hear the hooting of the owl. :) You are welcome to check out our goats too if you want (they're in their enclosed space). The surroundings are peaceful and private, you will enjoy exploring the trails all around the 9 acres out of 12 we are sharing. Stroll down the hill to listen to the sounds of the creek and fish ladder. Our campground cabins are about 4.9 miles from the 'Granite Falls Fish Ladder'. Watch the sunset into the world famous San Juan Islands. Our property is located on the scenic Chuckanut Drive. It is a 15 minute walk to Taylor United's Seafood Bar that has beer and wine. You will need boots just below the knee, or hiking shoes that will get wet. The Creek crossing is a little deeper this year. You will also be crossing a muddy area for about 20 yards, you will sink about 3 inches into the mud. The hike into the campsite takes 12 minutes. You need to contact me to check the tides, as to be able to get to the campsite. We need to hike in below a 5 foot tide. Starting October, the campsite closes for winter. Again , this campsite is Tide dependent. The first question to me should be, What is the latest we can hike in? I am not Moses, I can’t part the sea. Camp closed during winter October/ march

The *Purple Cottage* -- was found & salvaged (recycled!)-- moved onto the back of my property in 2012. This 16 X 12' place has been my studio in the past, but has offered overflow for friends & ; family. Nestled in the woods and ever-so-private, the cottage has a pull-out double futon, plus a small sleeping loft and can accommodate 1 -2 nicely (we will consider 3 if you have a small child, but it would be a tight fit!... There is a very small sleeping loft in the cottage.). There is a “en suite kitchen in the cottage that has a small fridge, microwave, and two burner stovetop cooking unit. The cottage offers privacy in a wooded garden setting. The bathhouse, with hot shower, vanity and; toilet --are all steps away (and covered) from the main cabin. The Purple Cottage sits on a shy wooded acre, with greenbelt buffers all around, maximizing the sense of privacy. our vintage Shasta Trailer across the driveway of the Purple Cottage is currently used as a music studio (and rarely as family/guest overflow), and I have my own small Artist Studio located also on the back of the property. Even with all the little enclave of buildings, The Purple Cottage retains a private feel all to itself, with reliable Wi-Fi available at the cottage. . It is located in a quiet little neighborhood, about 6 miles from Langley & 6 miles from Freeland.. Private beach access is across the road and a 15 minute walk up the street, where you can beach comb & explore the shoreline out at our little point. The private deck off the side of the Purple Cottage offers views of the gardens & flora, and has a little gas barbecue. There is also a delightful hot tub on the deck, which is a wonderful feature. An outdoor kitchen on the edge of the woods allows a roomier “camp cooking” experience with Colman stove & cold running water (season permitting). We are located 6 miles from the picturesque town of Langley and equal distance from Freeland, on the south end of Whidbey. Our area is very *bike-able* and either direction will get you to town! The Purple Cottage offers a rustic retreat in a place that feels far away, but is an hour & a half from the bustling city of Seattle!

Tward the end of july the river starts to recede opening up more possibilities of having interaction with the river. That being said its crucial you keep an eye out on your kids. My boyfriend, Dave, and I reside in the farmhouse. My mother, Lauren, also makes her home here. We have discovered several exceptional camping spots on our 15-acre property. We are always available to provide you with space or invite you to join us. We derive immense satisfaction from meeting new individuals and have numerous recommendations for Whidbey Island, including the delectable blueberry stand in Freeland and the Mutiny Bay Blues, a venue that we can either recommend or provide directions to. We eagerly anticipate your visit. Fern Gully is conveniently located just a two-minute drive from the charming Greenbank Pantry. Where you can indulge in delectable sandwiches and quench your thirst with refreshing Topo Chico or a bottle of wine. For a scenic excursion, venture to South Whidbey State Park, a six-minute drive away. Where you can embark on exhilarating hiking trails along the breathtaking coastline. My 30 acre farm has two campsites, (they are not close to each other) both allow pets and campfires (outside of burn bans). One campsite is a beach on the North Fork Stilly, it is shaded most of the time, the sun lovers can paddle with their kayak or wade across to sunbath on an island across the river. tent campers can locate their car or truck on dike and move their supplies on to camping area.. trucks with campers can set up right on dike over looking the stilly. Rigs can set up in the field by the dike!! the outhouse is back for the season!!! The second campsite is on 4 acres you will have to yourself by a creek; Rhodes River Ranch Restaurant is walking distance away to go enjoy dinner; the Whitehorse trail for biking or walking is only a mile away; Enjoy the view of Whitehorse and three fingers mountain. Lake Cavanaugh is nearby, and regional activities include biking, boating, fishing, hiking, , paddling, wind sports, and off-roading. We are a 20 acre tree farm in the making on beautiful Whidbey Island. The property is rough graded with lots of areas to explore. Close to town for supplies but quiet, and crazy stars at night. We have cleared two of the cedar groves on the south side, and they are perfect campsites. The sites are 75'-100' apart, more private than a state park, but close enough that a bigger group would feel close. Portable Toilet is on site 100' from the Big Cedar site. May through October Cedar Hallow- Our original campsite, sports a hammock, a picnic table, a fire pit, a good area for 2 tents, probably 6 people. The site has huge cedar trees all around so it's filtered sunlight most of the day, & warm in the summer! Big Cedar- Our bigger site. Equipped with a fire pit, a picnic table, hammock, and space for 3-4 tents, probably 12 people comfortably. There is a dirt road that circles the property, it's great for walks and animal viewing but can get muddy in the rain so be prepared. Parking is a gravel lot directly across the little dirt road from the sites. Unload at the site then move to parking as to not block the road. Trucks with campers can pull tight to a site but don't pull into a site please, obey standard fallen tree limb boundaries. I keep a large water tote on-site with hose water for washing dishes or boiling.

The *Purple Cottage* -- was found & salvaged (recycled!)-- moved onto the back of my property in 2012. This 16 X 12' place has been my studio in the past, but has offered overflow for friends & ; family. Nestled in the woods and ever-so-private, the cottage has a pull-out double futon, plus a small sleeping loft and can accommodate 1 -2 nicely (we will consider 3 if you have a small child, but it would be a tight fit!... There is a very small sleeping loft in the cottage.). There is a “en suite kitchen in the cottage that has a small fridge, microwave, and two burner stovetop cooking unit. The cottage offers privacy in a wooded garden setting. The bathhouse, with hot shower, vanity and; toilet --are all steps away (and covered) from the main cabin. The Purple Cottage sits on a shy wooded acre, with greenbelt buffers all around, maximizing the sense of privacy. our vintage Shasta Trailer across the driveway of the Purple Cottage is currently used as a music studio (and rarely as family/guest overflow), and I have my own small Artist Studio located also on the back of the property. Even with all the little enclave of buildings, The Purple Cottage retains a private feel all to itself, with reliable Wi-Fi available at the cottage. . It is located in a quiet little neighborhood, about 6 miles from Langley & 6 miles from Freeland.. Private beach access is across the road and a 15 minute walk up the street, where you can beach comb & explore the shoreline out at our little point. The private deck off the side of the Purple Cottage offers views of the gardens & flora, and has a little gas barbecue. There is also a delightful hot tub on the deck, which is a wonderful feature. An outdoor kitchen on the edge of the woods allows a roomier “camp cooking” experience with Colman stove & cold running water (season permitting). We are located 6 miles from the picturesque town of Langley and equal distance from Freeland, on the south end of Whidbey. Our area is very *bike-able* and either direction will get you to town! The Purple Cottage offers a rustic retreat in a place that feels far away, but is an hour & a half from the bustling city of Seattle!

End of the road. Start of an epic camping weekend. River to the side, Cascade foothill surround. Each site has river access except for lookers left which is not accessible due to the steep grade. Close to the north cascades. Minutes from live music, bars and quality mexican restaurant. Rails to trail for bikes and walking. Tward the end of july the river starts to recede opening up more possibilities of having interaction with the river. That being said its crucial you keep an eye out on your kids. We had a guy out here who almost killed his kids multiple times underestimating the current. Watch out!!Kinda going for the peaceful, listen to the river and birds, vibe. Would rather there be no music and if there is then super low and off by 7. Sauna available after 3pm

One campsite is a beach on the North Fork Stilly, it is shaded most of the time, the sun lovers can paddle with their kayak or wade across to sunbath on an island across the river. tent campers can locate their car or truck on dike and move their supplies on to camping area.. trucks with campers can set up right on dike over looking the stilly. Rigs can set up in the field by the dike!! the outhouse is back for the season!!! The second campsite is on 4 acres you will have to yourself by a creek; Rhodes River Ranch Restaurant is walking distance away to go enjoy dinner; the Whitehorse trail for biking or walking is only a mile away; Enjoy the view of Whitehorse and three fingers mountain. Highlights We enjoyed a late-Nov stay with our dog. It was cold, sunny (~8hrs) and crisp. The best: - Lovely short trails right around the property - private, accessible & beautiful. Endless wildlife photo opportunities. Saw 3+ nesting eagles in trees on/around property. Loved the binoculars provided. - Said hello to the cows (very photogenic) + pigs (hollered at us to feed them). A pig escaped but it was friendly and host was responsive. - Close enough to town and private enough to escape it all. Feedback I think important additional info should be included in the listing, so visitors know what to expect before they book, pack, get day-of instructions/rules, arrive, etc. Luckily none of these affected our trip too much because we over-prepared: - Toilet is porta-potty outside the building (clean but spiders!) - No electricity or indoor heat, 2 large batteries supply limited amt. of power. We (sparingly) used ~50% of 1 battery for 2-night stay. - Pictured kitchen equipment (other than outdoor propane camp grill) not available in fall/winter. We ended up going out to eat. - Parking is 100-200ft away from building. Firepit 50-100ft away. No exterior lighting. - Late Nov was cold, dark and wet on the property (which we knew) but due to the above, bring lots of warm clothes, floor coverings, rugs, and battery-powered lighting! I'll reiterate that we had a fantastic stay. I know the host is working on various projects on the site, so maybe we’ll be back in warmer weather!

I stayed in the Willow Cabin for two nights over the Thanksgiving holiday, and it was exactly the peaceful reset I was hoping for. I arrived after 9pm, and even in the dark, the property felt welcoming with its whimsical lighting guiding the way. Reg, the host, was there to greet me and walk me through everything — from the cozy cabin setup to the full outhouse bathroom and the little kitchen area with a fridge for essentials. The cabin itself is simple and calming, with a twin and a queen bed, both with fresh linens. Reg had the space heater going before I arrived, which was such a thoughtful touch. Since I stayed during the colder season, I was grateful I brought a heated blanket, and I’d recommend others do the same that time of year. The water straight from the tap was incredibly fresh and delicious, truly something you don’t get in the city — just a small detail that made the stay feel even more special. What really stood out to me was the beauty and quiet of the property. Reg genuinely encourages guests to wander and explore, and it made the whole stay feel more personal and grounding. It’s the perfect spot for anyone wanting to unplug, reflect, and enjoy a truly low-amenity, chill cabin experience. And I have to mention this — the shower water pressure and heat were amazing. Truly a highlight! If you know you enjoy a simple, peaceful, back-to-basics kind of stay, Willow Cabin is such a gem. I’d absolutely return.

What a fantastic spot. Valhalla Tree Farm is the perfect place to unplug and get cozy. The off-grid cabin was simple and comfortable, and the propane heater kept us toasty the whole time. Even with the water shut off for the season, everything was easy to manage, and the covered fire pit meant we could still enjoy a fire while it sprinkled most of the trip. Shannon was super helpful and responsive, and we loved being able to wander the property and let the dog run around off-leash. The backdrop of the escarpment is beautiful and makes the place feel extra special. Honestly, I’m almost hesitant to hype it up too much because I do not want to fight for dates next time. We’ll be back!

This was such a lovely and well taken care of campground. The little gazebo that has been built there was wonderful and the property was beautiful, with a little walking trails and a nice river right next to the campsite. There is plenty of space for pets to roam around and the campsite feels nice and secluded. We would definitely go back!

We had such a lovely time at Valhalla. The directions were easy to follow and the grounds were gorgeous. We knew it was going to rain the entire weekend we were there but we didn't care. We took beautiful hikes through the woods and it felt like we had the entire place to ourselves. They have done a wonderful job making Valhalla a peaceful piece of paradise away from the hustle and bustle of city life. We’ll definitely be back!

Reg’s hundred acre wood is a charming mix of huts and outbuildings new and old. The vegetation overgrowth and misty air conceal various construction materials and antiques around the property. Dishes and coffee are available, and the BBQ worked as long as you can squeeze into the narrow place where it’s situated. The washroom is cute, the kitchen is slated for demolition, and the cabin we stayed in was warm. Reg was enthusiastic about showing us around the property, and introducing us to the sheep.

Valhalla tree farm is beautiful and so serene. The different birds calling and talking through the sounds of trees moving in high winds, so good! The pup and I went exploring through the property and trails feeling like we were fully in Ferngully. Our shelter camp site on Huckleberry Hill was perfect. Dave clearly puts a lot of thought and care into providing the best experience. Not only was he communicative and responsive, but he was also accommodating. Thanks to the shelter at our site, we didn’t drown in the torrential downpour! This property is highly rated, the pup and I agree 💯

We had such a lovely time on Jacob’s property. It felt remote and private, while being a short drive into town. Our pup was a little too interested in the farm animals so we did keep her on leash, but she had a great time sniffing around on a long lead. Jacob was so friendly, checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. Would highly recommend for an upgraded camping experience.

Relax and enjoy the privacy and beauty of our 10-acre secluded property. The property is a mowed, open grass field surrounded by forest. Camp sites have a view of an eagle's nest (two young eagles are in the nest right now!) and our six-hole frisbee golf course. Frisbees are provided and only campers and the residents use the course. Camp sites include a raised 12' by 12' tent pad, picnic table, space for one or two vehicles that can be parked near the forest or in the field, and use of a porta-potty (cleaned regularly and pumped out weekly). Potable water is located from a spigot in the pasture. Choose from three camp sites: Eagle Eyrie, Owl Hollow, or Hawk Nest. Sites are roomy enough for RV campers and ideal for a private Pacific Northwest getaway. Our property is in close proximity to downtown Bellingham and downtown Ferndale (only 5 miles north or south) and all the delicious restaurants, live music, and parks they provide; but is nestled into a pastoral refuge. Seattle is 1.5 hours south and Vancouver is 1 hour north. Free water and sewer dump are available at the Lummi Market, within one mile of the house. Property owners, Kim & Jeff, live onsite if you have questions or need anything; however the camp sites are tucked away such that the camping area is entirely separate. Property is accessed down a long gravel driveway on the east side of Rural Avenue, just across the street from a log cabin/house. A yellow "Rural Rodeo" sign is located below the mailboxes adjacent to our driveway. Please keep an eye out for our address #, as some of the mapping systems have you drive past our driveway. The owner of this property only hosts one RV at a time — unless guests are traveling together — so you’ll have plenty of privacy! (More than two people are welcome.) The huge graveled area makes turning around super easy, and there’s a pretty view to the west over a grassy field toward the sunset. The barn is picturesque, though there are no animals on the property except for one indoor foster cat. The RV site has water from the barn via a 100-foot hose. “House” electric is available from the barn with a provided 100-foot power cord for a $5 charge. Benson Road is narrow with a deep ditch, so it isn’t suitable for walking or biking, but traffic noise is minimal. The property sits directly across from the Lynden airport. While planes rarely take off or land here, it’s fun to watch when they glide in close to the ground. On most days you might see three planes, with a few more on Sunday afternoons when people return home. The property is a flat 1,500 feet long, making it great for walking. It’s also a wonderful spot for dogs to run and play, though since it’s within Lynden city limits, dogs must remain under immediate control or on a leash. Quiet time is strictly observed at 9 p.m. A campfire area is available in the farmyard, with a charged hose required to be on hand. The owner will try to provide firewood and newspaper for starting fires, but availability isn’t guaranteed. Conveniently located, the property is only a 4-minute drive from charming, flower-filled downtown Lynden and the Northwest Washington Fairgrounds, 6 minutes from the main grocery shopping area, and about 5 minutes from the Canadian border crossing. It’s a 30-minute drive south to Bellingham, 30 minutes west to Birch Bay and other waterfront destinations, 1 hour 15 minutes to Anacortes (gateway to the San Juan Islands), and 1 hour 20 minutes east to the Picture Lake Viewpoint on Mt. Baker.

The farm includes prime agricultural soils, over half a mile of East Chimacum Creek, and forested areas. The easement protects a buffer zone for salmon and wildlife habitat along the east fork of Chimacum Creek and protects the agricultural and forestry values of the property forever. Jefferson Land Trust and collaborative partners purchased the easement to Insure Glendale farm maintains agricultural practices and wildlife habitat forever! Please be aware this is a working farm with poultry, livestock, and the use of farm equipment providing a great experience for farm life. Glendale farm experienced a devestating loss in 2022, the primary residence burned down, and since then has been going through an extensive cleanup from an extreme hoarding situation. We recommend using shoes at all times as we are still in the process of combing the grounds for glass and possible sharp objects. A little luxury and ease for the grownups and a magical nature experience for the kids. Kids are allowed to "just be" here. Cellular reception isn't great but no one seems to notice. Not when they are busy building forts, roasting marshmallows and climbing up tree houses. The intention infused into all of our spaces is a Hygge* (pronounced hoo-gah) vibe. *Hygge is a calm, comfortable time with people you love. The absence of frustrations; often enjoyed with warm drinks, cozy blankets and candlelight or a fire.❤️ County Noise Statement: We love living in rural Whatcom County and we know land owners in our area love it too. In fact, their enthusiasm for the great outdoors is so high that sometimes they can generate sounds that will travel throughout the day. These are likely sounds you are not accustomed to hearing in a traditional neighborhood. Distant noises such as: -county shooting range located a few miles away -tractors -mowers & chainsaws -ATV vehicles -barking dogs -farm animals (goat, horses, crowing roosters) -wild animals (early morning bird song and owls at night) -children laughing -adult voices -train horn Evenings are generally very quiet and peaceful as night falls with the exception of holiday weekends as the enthusiasm for owning property in the country may ramp up ;) We tell you all this in order to be fully transparent about noise potential. The Camping Meadow} The meadow is a 1/2 acre fully-fenced, flat forest dell. There is a water spigot and an electrical outlet. It can host up to 3 tents. It is tent camping only - no vehicles allowed in the meadow. West Saanich Road can be a bit loud at night in the summer. If you have sensitive hearing, we encourage earplugs and/or camping at the farthest west end of the meadow. {2. Car Camping} The Cedar Grove is a private camp site with room for a regular vehicle (not an RV) and a tent. It is our only spot where you may camp next to your vehicle. {3. The Barn Loft Guest Suite} The Barn Loft Guest Suite is a beautiful restored hay loft with a double bed, a pull-out sofa, a kitchenette, and a living room and dining area. It is equipped with a composting toilet. Those staying at the Loft can also use the shared farm washroom. {Shared Washroom} The washroom is the shared washroom inside the farmhouse on the ground/basement floor, with a flush toilet and luxury shower. It is a short walk from the camping meadow, inside the heritage farmhouse. Please note that while inside the farmhouse basement, only the washroom is available for public use. Entering other areas of the basement is prohibited, as these are private living spaces. {Farm Fun} We have five horses, a tiny pony, chickens, a few goats and a flock of sheep. You are welcome to respectfully meet the animals with us - it is not permitted to meet the animals without a guide. DM us if you want to say hi to the animals and we will arrange a time. Tips for snagging a campsite

  1. You can reserve all of the park’s 172 tent sites, 134 partial-hookup sites, and five hiker/biker sites online. 
  2. Deception Pass is a popular state park. Reservations should be made in advance, especially for summer weekends. All campsites can be reserved online, up to nine months in advance of the arrival date. 
  3. The Ben Ure Cabin on Ben Ure Island is accessible only by kayak or rowboat, and guests must bring their own water.

When to go

Deception Pass State Park is open year-round. In the Coastal Northwest’s relatively mild climate, there’s never a bad time to visit. Summers, especially on weekends and holidays, are very busy here. But come in the shoulder season—in the spring or early summer, before July 4—or early fall, after Memorial Day, and you’re more likely to find seclusion. Weekdays are generally a better bet, too.

Know before you go

  • You can rent kayaks and stand-up paddleboards at the Bowman Bay concession stand from April through September. 
  • Visitors will need to display a day-use or annual Discover Pass. The park has automated pay stations dispensing both, along with boat launch permits. 
  • The park has 1.2 miles of ADA hiking trails, in addition to three miles of bike trails, six miles of horse trails, and 38 miles of hiking trails.
