My father was born and died in this house, and I was raised here also. After teaching for 32 years my husband and I inherited the farm from my folks who have since passed. There are no orchards left on the property but we are moving on with a vegetable and flower garden, goats, chickens and a llama. Earth Biscuits is a sanctuary and a place to enjoy nature Located in Skykomish Washington, a small town 15 minutes from the Stevens Pass Ski Resort and the Pacific Crest Trail. We have 53 acres of a southern facing hill side that runs along the Henry M. Jackson, Wild Sky Wilderness within the Mt. Baker National Forest. We have seven sites for camping. All sites have a fire ring, a table of some sort and a barrel of water for dousing your campfire. All sites have a deck for setting up on. We give each party a clean camping toilet and privacy tent. All campers are welcome to hike up to the cliffs for viewing. The road going into the property is flat and level; however, we reclaimed an old logging road and it takes a jeep or 4-wheel drive truck type vehicle (Subaru makes it all day long for some reason) to get past the switchback as it heads up to the cliffs and camping spots 1-3. Bring binoculars. Be advised that it takes an able-bodied person to get to the top as the trail going to the cliffs is rough. We are laying some ropes but count on your own ability, not the ropes. We have not put in electric hook ups, water, sewage disposal, therefore your rig needs to be self-contained. We offer a clean and sanitary camping toilet for each party. Works well and easy to use. If panning for minerals is your thing there are a couple of seasonal creeks. The property is walking distance to 3 local eateries, a laundromat , a tavern, coffee shop, outfitter, fishing guides, convenience store/gas station. Skykomish is a train community and sports a train park which offers free miniature train rides May thru October. Fun for the kids of all ages. Keep in mind that as a train community there will be trains that rumble through the valley at night. If that bothers you bring ear plugs. There are numerous hiking trails in the area as well as several rivers in the area. The Foss, Beckler, Skykomish and several pristine alpine lakes. Biscuits come to the area for a wide variety of outdoor recreational opportunities including skiing, snow shoeing, rafting, mushroom hunting, rock climbing, quad tours, gold panning, bird watching, fishing, mountain biking, mountain rescue instruction or just unplugging from the world below and simply chilling. Pets are welcome however the property is located within the town limits of Skykomish and there is a leash law and you don’t want rover to chase wildlife into the mountains or across the highway and be lost forever. It happens. This area is rich with history from “The Olden Days”. The longest train tunnel in the western hemisphere was constructed through/under these mountains in the early 1900s after the nation’s worst train disaster, an avalanche, took 96 souls. Wellington (site of the disaster) is a short drive, is worth seeing and is wheel chair accessible. Two books written about this, both excellent reads. The White Cascade and Vis Major. During the time of tunnel construction between the logging and rail/tunnel workers there were some 20,000 living and prospering in the Skykomish Valley. They were a hearty rough-and-tumble crowd. Thursday through Sunday there is a museum and art gallery in town. Also, there is abundant wildlife in the area including bear, deer, cougar, bobcat, porcupine, etc. In the event you’re fool hearty, NOT diligent, (lazy) and you leave food items out, that will serve as a chow call for the bears. FULL DISCLOSURE: There hasn’t been a bear attack in a very long time up here, and don’t think you're the bear whisperer because you’re not. That title belongs to Father Earth Biscuit. His ghost wanders the woods at night. I observed him playing poker recently late at night with the Sasquatch and bear that lives in these woods. The bear lost and was angry and was departing the area hoping to find a tasty human but found a nice nest of grubs instead and so he forgot about his people hunt. Unfortunately, just as my camera was ready to take video of the whole affair my battery went dead. I needed to get out of there anyway as to that point I had not been detected by them. But they are there! We biscuits find that bears are people too and they are just trying to fill their calorie needs and they like cheese burgers and chips of any kind with their beer. Don’t leave out the food items. IT WOULD BE A PROVOCATION ON YOUR PART! Enuf said. Hunting/ shooting is strictly forbidden. All state fire restrictions are adhered to. No Rock climbing the cliffs unless you’re an instructor level climber and can show credentials We have planned this as a FAMILY CAMP GROUND therefore, illegal substance users should look for another place. Your rig must be in good condition. No old 1900s models that clutter city streets down below. I hope you understand our intent here. Be advised that Length of stay is limited.

This is for the adventurous Hipcamper that appreciates the bumpy dirt road. Your Honda Civic or Toyota Corolla won't get you here. Cell service is limited. It is not recommended to arrive after sunset But it is so worth it. Come relax and enjoy the views of the Columbia River and the North Cascades. Plenty of sunshine with epic sunsets, our property is where you come to unwind and soak in the sun when the west side of the Cascades is socked in with clouds and rain. If you want to explore the area, it's about a 10-minute car ride to the Columbia River and 20 minutes to Chelan and all that is offered there. Our favorite activities when we visit are to listen to the birds chirp and take in the surroundings. There are several lava rock piles that speak to the long and volcanic geological history of the area. We also really enjoy walking the dirt road on the ridge. It provides some of the most incredible views in the area. The dirt road section over the ridge can be a little rough and dusty and it's recommended that guests have a medium clearance vehicle, such as a Subaru Outback. However, a guest once drove their Honda Civic down to the site, so it really depends on your comfort level. If in doubt, just ask! We have a security camera on site we use for wildlife sightings and to check the weather. If the idea of having the camera bothers you, feel free to place a blanket or some other type of cover during your stay. We can also turn the camera to only face the entrance. Just let us know. Please respect the surroundings and others' property. There are several other vacation cabins in the area and everyone enjoys their peace and quiet. We provide a privy for guests to use, but be prepared to pack out waste in case it doesn't meet your standards. This is a lovely spot with the view of the canyons and vineyard. We chose site 4 as it was more remote than the sites with electrical that are closer to the road. So we had no services but the ports potty was clean and convenient. You really feel like you are in the middle of nowhere in cool off the grid way yet its not hard to get to and Renee was so kind with a wine tasting and telling us about his organic wines. Very fun!

2nd time up to Earth biscuit and my girlfriend and I love it! Great place to get away with elevated views. With sites well distanced from each other. Our dogs love the woods. The drive out there is an experience all of its own.

Absolutely loved this campsite! It was an adventure to get there and the views were so worth it! The host was very responsive and gave great directions on how to get there! Even with all the smoke from the fires the view was breathtaking! Definitely recommend anyone will love it!

Beautiful spot nestled between two vineyards with peaceful valley views. The site was quiet and relaxing. No hookups, but water and a clean porta potty were provided, which made it comfortable and easy. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a scenic, simple getaway.

Weekend Trip to Cheval Cellars BnB Camping

Lovely spot to camp. Great view and with it being late September was able to enjoy the lovely smells coming from the Orchard. We had a slightly anxious dog who does not do well with other people or animals so it was a perfect spot for her to enjoy her first camping trip. A small picnic table is provided and we brought an extra 6 foot table which helped with placing all our food items and portable grill. Convenient spot for local wineries and to access Lake Chelan. Hope to return soon.

Site B is 30 amp and next to Sauvignon Blanc.

3 nights at Sasquatch Villa

Great location with stunning views. It's definitely up there, and the road initially feels a little sketchy, but don't let that scare you. I was easily able to tow a 30ft trailer up no problem, and Chris came right out to assist and asked if I needed anything! Being so high, be prepared for wind, but if you get a night with no wind, the sunset views are amazing! I would definitely stay at these sites again!

Renato’s spot is fantastic for a group! We had the whole space to ourselves and he was a wonderful host. You can’t miss wine tasting and hearing about the property Renato has built. The views were also incredible and worth the drive from Seattle.

Weekend Trip to The Lakes

Awesome spot! Really quiet and spacious. We had a minor issue when we arrived but Mariah responded to my message and had it taken care of promptly. We brought our own toilet set-up and my friend was kindly informed by staff that the tasting room bathroom isn’t encouraged for campers. There is an outhouse nearby though. Willow Point is a great place to go for a swim in Lake Chelan and is a 9 min drive from the site.

Renato is lovely as is his vineyard for camping and wine tasting. We had a truly magical experience camping out under the stars. Highly recommend and would love the chance to return someday!
