First of all, the location. The cabin is located on a rural road that is a five minute drive to downtown Onancock, which offers a coffee shop, several restaurants, bakery, shops, Saturday farmers’ market, and the harbor. Chincoteague and the famous ponies are 35 minutes north, and bougie Cape Charles is 40 minutes south.
When you open the door to this 300’ gem, you will step back in time to a simpler way of life. This century-old building was moved to the site and has been brought back to life, preserving the original character, while adding the creature comforts we love of today. Soaring 12 foot ceilings provide a spacious air, and the original wood interior offer charm and patina that simply cannot be manufactured. In the past, it was a barber shop and then a poker joint.
This place is a design nerd’s dream, a clever combination of old, new, and vintage pieces, handmade pottery and art, with close attention paid to each chosen piece.
Lace curtains and blackout blinds cover all your light preferences for peaceful sleeping. The queen bed is a high end hybrid mattress with traditional coil base and memory foam top. A giant 55” TV is directly across from the bed for cozy streaming.
The modern bathroom has a vintage wall sink found on site, and terrific water pressure from a rain shower head with instant, never ending Rinnai hot water.
The kitchen has an ample antique sideboard as your sink, apartment size refrigerator, induction hot plate, coffee, microwave, and combo convection toaster oven/air fryer. The marble table seats two. A comfortable down-filled loveseat adds another lounge option. You will enjoy all the artistic touches around the room.
Did I mention the front porch??? It’s the perfect spot for morning coffee, afternoon wine, and evening stargazing from rocking chairs with your boo. A pretty view of a wide field is across the street and will sooth your weary soul. What’s not to love about that?

The Guinea farm is 18 acres of field and forest on the rural middle peninsula. Only 1 mile from 2 separate secluded dog friendly beaches and a boat launch. There is very little traffic or light pollution here, nature is at your fingertips.
Come visit the farm and experience agritourism at it's finest. Pick your own veggies in the community garden and meet the Guinea fowl! Enjoy the wilderness and learn about the local ecosystem here on the middle peninsula.
There are 3 sites spaced out across the 18 acres set apart for privacy. Wisteria Treehouse site closer to the entrance gate. Trilogy Micro Cabinz is in the pines 700' beyond that and separated by dense forest. Stargazer Tiny cabin is an off grid rustic camping cabin on the back side of the property.
Each site is surrounded by several acres of forest and close to the edge of a large field. There are roaming guinea fowl that may come make a very loud appearance as they canvas the property eating bugs. Deer, Turkeys, Bald Eagles, foxes, and other wildlife are common guests also. Mid-summer is what I call frog season, Tree frogs are abundant and provide a wonderful soundtrack.
There is an axe throwing board and cornhole boards available.

Ian’s Wisteria Treehouse was fantastic. The property is beautiful and the spot was private. I would live in the treehouse if I could - cozy and clean and totally what I dreamed of as a kid. Super close to pretty Haven Beach and we couldn’t get enough of Ian’s chickens, guinea hens, turkeys, and geese. Will definitely be a core memory for our children!

10/10 experience. Ian's place is ideal for what we were looking for. Very private campsites where we practically never saw or heard other campers. Ian was a super thoughtful host and the distant sounds of his chickens and guineas made the whole experience even better.
In a short 5 minute drive we got to Aaron's beach which during peak weekend hours had at most 8 other people and literally no one during the week.
We'll definitely be back if we come visit the area again.

Beautiful and secluded! This site was completely private with acres (I think he said 4 acres) to roam. Enjoyed walking the property/paths and seeing animals and trees. There was a fire pit, water hose, picnic table and lights up. Jay and his daughters were very personable and helpful!
Note: there was not a toilet available nearby.

We had such an amazing tent stay at Shannon’s homestead. She was so kind and welcoming, and super knowledgeable about nature and wildlife in the area. We did the guided kayak tour with her, and I highly recommend it! Perfect location for star gazing. It was so much fun. We loved all the animals, especially Apollo and Princess Leia. We definitely plan to come back!

Wisteria is such a cute site. Our family of 5 was looking for somewhere to watch the Perseid meteor shower & the open field next to the cabin was perfect. Ian quickly fixed the shower when the water was running low, and being just down the road from the beach was nice. We’d definitely camp here again!

With a welcoming and informative host, what's not to like. We just met Rod and I feel like I've known him for years. We are definitely planning on returning to this one!
