Our property was a small family farm for several generations. Our family purchased the property about 18 years ago. Since we are not farmers but love living here, the question became "What would be the best use for the land?" Living in a scenic area and already being in the vacation rental business on some other family property answered the question. We decided to share the beautiful view and seclusion of our area with others. Our goal was to keep the cost of building down so that we could pass on the savings to you so that you would not have to be rich to enjoy our lovely area. This inspired the idea of a glamping cabin. The cabin is actually a repurposed office building that was built about the time this property was purchased by our family. We moved it to the present location and completely remodelled it in 2018 and added the bathroom. For 4 years, guests enjoyed an off-the-grid experience. In 2023, when we began work on the glamping dome (stay tuned--coming soon!!), we decided to add electricity, running water, and a hot tub to the tiny house! We hope you enjoy the cabin (and, soon, the dome) and the stunning view from them as much as we enjoy sharing this beautiful spot with you! Note: The Charming Glamping Cabin is at a totally different property. That property also has a section that used to be farmed. Now a lot of it is forest. We purchased the property around 2000. This cabin was built approx. 10 years later. At that point, the cabin was a tiny economy cabin with a sofa bed. However, it seemed most folks preferred comfort over economy, so in 2020, we added a bump-out to the side of the cabin so there would be room for a queen bed. Guests have loved the improvement. What an amazing campsite! Hats off to the owners that did a great job on the build out of the school bus. The site has everything you would need from a cooking station inside to functional grill out private outdoor shower and porta potty as well as hammock and fire pit. I appreciate the steps that we’re built to get down to the river for tubing and swimming. most of the campground is covered in mulch with cuts down on dirt and kept our puppy on the cleaner side.

This was our second time at Brooklyn Heights in just 2 weeks because we loved it SO much! It was me, my fiance, and 3 kids, plus 2 big dogs! We rented one of the cabins this time & it was amazing. Having a fridge, electric and a/c really makes a mid-July stay so much more relaxing! We mainly just slept in the cabin & not much else because we were either at the river swimming/paddle boarding or relaxing by the fire pit, which is perfectly shaded, but it was surprisingly spacious & having a cool space & comfy bed at night was so great!! Vince is so friendly and kind. The amenities are wonderful! The cheap firewood, the coffee pavilion, a place to wash dishes, and most importantly VERY CLEAN portapotties!! No complaints! We cannot wait to come back again.

Stayed in the orange cabin and it was great. Cabin was clean. The views are great and everything they advertised was true. Mt bike trails were well maintained. This was my second time visiting the farm because of my kid being in a camp. Last year I stayed in a tent. For this year, the cabin was a wonderful upgrade. If you are looking for a clean off grid cabin in the heart of great mt biking, this is a great option.

The tiny cottage by the wood line on the back of this huge property is private, quiet and delivered an enjoyable rustic feel for us. Billy (the dog) literally guided our car all the way back to the rental. The host was amazing and responds promptly to any questions or concerns. The large fire pit was a great place for roasting hotdogs and s'mores. 10/10 would enjoy a return visit for a quiet, secluded rest.

Wow what an experience. Ed and family really have the place set up well. The land is well kept where necessary but left wild everywhere else. We spent hours in the pond swimming and fishing as well. My 8 and 10 year old loved the place and explored it with curiosity. Thank you for letting us share your slice of "almost heaven". We will be back again. And to the fellow hipcamper. I spent a few days here with my son and it was wonderful! The cabin is great, and has everything you need. The deck facing one of the ponds is wonderful and a great place to sit and hear the fish jumping out of the water, the frogs, and birds. The river is fun and was one of our favorite spots. My son looked and found lots of salamanders, snails, and fish.

This is what your wife means when she says she wants to go “camping”. enough roughage, but with the comfort of a queen bed and hot running water. although the streets did have traffic it wasn’t a deal breaker for us & we are already looking at coming back! just get past the fear people can see you bc they can’t it’s just the scary movies you grew up watching haunting you. Brought canned goods and hot dogs that we were able to make in the fire there! Napped in the hammock, but we didn’t get in the river but you can! ALSO boats do float the river so keep in mind when keeping the tent open …if you know what i mean. food near: Lil Guses 9/10, Bonobos bakery 1000/10 trails with swimming holes & water falls- The Blue Hole & South River Falls.

2 nights at South River Camp

My bestest bud, Diesel (9 ye old Rottie) and I had the BEST stay here. We had to book same day due to an issue with another site, Kim and Bobby were so accommodating. The bus is so beautifully done and blew away any expectations that I had... so incredibly welldone.. that we didn't want to leave. They have most anything you could possibly need (you just need your own cooking supplies.. they have a grill and a stove inside)! They were also very receptive to suggestions. We absolutely recommend this spot for a comfortable and easy stay. We would undoubtedly stay again!!

4 nights at Brooklyn Heights Riverfront Camp

Incredible, family friendly campground. The river is perfect for fishing and also perfect for young children to play in. Gorgeous, serene location with minimal mosquitoes which was a shock! Firewood is very affordable. As in VERY affordable. Porta potty is the cleanest one I have ever used in my life. I plan to go back next year with my crew as my only mistake in booking a campsite at Brooklyn Heights was not staying a few days longer.

Weekend Trip to Camping at Lazy River Farm

The Gypsy Rose and the land she sits on exceeded all expectations! A truly magical place and the love that Caroline and her family put into the Rose, the animals, and the land is very apparent. Whether sitting outside admiring the views (the fireflies at night were amazing), napping in the Gypsy Rose, or swimming/floating/fishing in the river, everything we did was relaxing and beautiful. Caroline and her family were beyond friendly and seemed happy to share their little corner of paradise with us. Absolutely recommend this spot!

2 nights at Indian Camp Lane

This was such a beautiful stay! So tranquil and so much to explore. I had wanted a nice place to stay by myself and reset and this was perfect! I even want to come back and take my husband and friends. Thank you guys so much
