The camp is secluded on 42 acres of woods and pasture land just outside Waynesboro, VA. The Upper South River is spring fed, and it runs diagonally through the property. Day lease fly fishing is also conducted on the property. Though urban, it is very private and the water is always cool.
The campsite has a fire ring, cooking grates, rotisserie, picnic table and a trash can. It is primitive camping with no outhouse (yet). There are 5 campsites on the property, spaced apart nicely to keep it private. Orkney Springs Outfitters provides lessons and guide services onsite and on surrounding waters from this location. We enjoyed our stay with Keri! She was very welcoming and showed us around when we arrived. The tent area is private as it is below the pool. The site is very level as well. Having a shower and bathroom made this the perfect place for us after hiking. The location is beautiful and also quiet. Very convenient to town with a great selection of restaurants and stores, yet convenient to all the great local hiking spots. Keri’s restaurant reco was perfect and we ate there twice 👍 Definitely recommend Keri’s place if you are looking to camp for a few days in this beautiful part of VA.

My boys and I stayed at Meadows 1 and had the perfect little spot. We were able to hike almost all the trails and go canoeing twice. The store was closed on the weekend so we were able to get a souvenir, and their breakfast and lunch spot wasn’t open all the time. They were preparing for a wedding so lots was going on. Everything was pretty clean including the bathhouse and even the portapotties. It was beautiful weather over Lahore day. All the staff was very nice.

Our 2 night camping experience was great. Outhouses were clean that were nearby the tent sites. Having the shower facility was wonderful too. There was a wedding the second night but didn’t really hear the festivities. There are hikes at Wilderness and even though we didn’t do tubing the creek was peaceful. Because of the wedding party the food services were limited. The staff were really friendly and wanted you to have a great time. I would highly recommend staying here. The Appalachian Trail was a short distance and a wonderful motorcycle ride to get to. Google maps was very accurate as we used backroads to get there.

Weekend Trip to Jack's Run , Glade Hill, VA
I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Log Cabin on Virginia Farm, and I can't say enough good things about my experience! From the moment I arrived, Shirley, our host, made us feel right at home. Her warm welcome and thoughtful personal touches truly set the tone for a relaxing getaway.
The cabin itself was exactly as described—cozy, clean, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The amenities were fantastic! We loved spending our afternoons by the pool, exploring the scenic walking trails, and enjoying some friendly competition on the ball courts. The fire pits were the perfect spot to unwind in the evenings, roasting marshmallows and sharing stories under the stars.
Overall, this stay exceeded my expectations. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat with plenty of activities to enjoy, I highly recommend the Log Cabin on Virginia Farm. Thank you, Shirley, for being such a wonderful host! I can't wait to return!

My husband and our two dogs loved our stay! The property is absolutely stunning! We made sure to wake up every morning for the incredible sunrise 🌅 It was very hot during our stay, but we were able to cool off in the pool and the AC was plenty for us to be comfortable while indoors. We mostly stayed by the pool because of the heat, but the barn and fire pit area were awesome! Everything was very clean and the kitchen fully stocked with everything we needed for our stay. Our dogs loved the front porch and being able to walk/run off leash. Shirley was extremely respectful of our privacy, but also made sure to leave us a friendly note with her number if we needed anything at all. 10/10 recommend this hipcamp 😊

The yurt was amazing! Erika has thought of everything!! My husband described it as a Costa Rica vibe in the mountains. We all loved the yurt(s) and property! Sad we only stayed one night but SO glad we had the one night! Comfortable beds and tons of fun hang out spaces in the yurts and games for everyone to stay entertained. We took the adventurous road and it was adventurous, memorable and fun!

The setup was very convenient; nice spacious campsites and plenty to do. Wifi was iffy at times. Staff was fantastic and gave me some great leads on local attractions and eateries. They were also very accomodating for extra stuff like charging my power station (which I need for a CPA. I loved my 2 days there and would go back in a heartbeat.

Absolutely marvelous time!!! Amazing hospitality! Super safe and especially quiet. Even got to see fireflies! Traveled with my 9 year old son and we definately made lots of great memories. Everything needed was there. After a long day out exploring beautiful Salem and Roanoke, returned and relax, enjoying the majestic nature. Lots of space to setup the huge tent I brought. It was huge! Will fefinately stay again when visiting Salem and Roanoke.

This is such a magical place - first of all, the folks who work here are so kind and genuine. You really do feel like you’re at camp again. In fact, our stay coincided with a kids camp and it was so fun hearing their camp activities. The camp site is large and has trees for privacy. Shower was clean and hot. Lastly, the breakfast was INCREDIBLE and healthy. We will definitely be back!
