About the listing Pitch your tent in a forested area just a short walk up from where you’ll park your car. Enjoy unbeatable proximity to hiking and panoramic views while still having basic amenities that ensure a comfortable stay. So although your vehicle will be parked within 50 ft or so from site, you cannot pull directly up to the site and get any closer because of the trees. - SHOWER and PORTA POTTY - roughly a 5 minute or less walk from sites to shower and / or porta potty. Shower hours are 8 am- to 8 pm. The shower has hot and cold running water . You can drive to the shower if you need to. - RESPONSE TIME - This is a working herb farm/ sanctuary and we so do not always have our phones on us. We will make every effort to respond to you within a few hours. This is a 160 square foot tiny house/cabin in a small wooded area at the rear of my 2 acre property. A separate 90 square foot bath house is also provided. Both are primitive, ie, no electric or running water. The are some solar lights and candles for nighttime. Enjoy laying in the hammocks with a nice camp fire in the evening. The house is heated with a small wood stove but there is no air conditioning. Cook either on the wood stove or over the fire outside. In the summertime it is nice and private with the surrounding vegetation Please keep in mind. This is a primitive setting in the woods. It will be hot in the summer and temperature must be maintained in the winter with the wood stove or Buddy Heater. While I do spray for bugs to the best of my ability, there is a good chance you will encounter at least a few. We are in a residential country setting, so you may experience other wildlife as well. In the summertime while the foliage is up it is quite private, although you can still hear the neighbors. In the winter you will be able to see the neighbors as the trees are bare.

This is a 160 square foot tiny house/cabin in a small wooded area at the rear of my 2 acre property. A separate 90 square foot bath house is also provided. This camp sote was perfect for the colder fall weather. Not too much other campers, so we nearly had the place to ourselves. Yurt was the best feature, in my opinion. We got some rain both mornings and did not have to worry a bit. Got there late and were relieved we didn't have to set up tent and such. Campsite was nice with some easy water access you could rinse kitchenware off and even bath I can imagine during hot, humid summer months. Took a pair of waders just to fool around and discovered the creek bed to be relatively shallow. Take that as you wish with whatever activity you wish to pursue. Firepit was also decent, you could have a nice manageable fire. The only thing I would say that I would change different but cannot for obvious reasons is the train by the river. Pretty loud. Owner can't help it either, so he's at no fault. Other than that this is a great site.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in the Full Moon dome. 2 adults and 3 large dogs had PLENTY of space both inside and outside to rest and relax. We LOED watching the sheep outside the large dome window while drinking coffee in the mornings (French press provided!). There was plenty of firewood for the firepit and a propane grill nearby - we had such a peaceful experience. Highly recommend ordering some popovers and banana nut w/ chocolate chip muffins! We ordered the night before and Remy had them made and packaged in a wonderful picnic basket by 08300 the next morning! And while you're there, pick up some fresh grass-fed steak for grilling bringing home. Directions: site navigation was very easy. Custom road, parking, and site signs made it very easy to find the dome at night, All linens for both bed and futon are provided so we didn't need to worry about packing bedding/pillows etc Traveled in early November and didn't have any issues with bugs like mosquitoes or ticks. Compost toilet in the dome was such a luxury and easy to use. Tips/tricks: bring a bucket or bowl for gray water. You'll need a way to wash plates/utensils, french press, hands etc.

Would definitely camp here again. It’s great for large groups, and Matt the host was very welcoming. We especially appreciated the onsite firewood. $20 got us a beautiful fire burning from 3pm to midnight. Tables and seating were also on site so we were able to prepare our dinner to roast over the fire without haven’t to balance anything on our laps. To top the experience off, there was a spotless porta-potty at the edge of the camp’s boundary. Overall, this site was very well maintained and in a beautiful location.

I love this camp site and farm. The owners are really nice, welcoming, and helpful. The camp site is awesome - plenty of space and it's right by the creek. I love that it's wooded and feels secluded, even though Taneytown is only a few minutes away. The farm and property is picturesque, especially in the fall. It's seems like something more out of a movie than real life. We will definitely be back again :)

These sites are located at the Bear's Den Center along the AT in Virginia. Super cool location, and you can walk to a large brewery/restaurant within 15 minutes. I'd definitely camp here again. Fair warning: while the tent sites are quite large, they are all arranged in a circle. If any of the sites are rambunctious, you will hear it. Didn't bother, but don't come here expecting to be alone.
