My parents both grew up on the southside of Chicago - where having a tree in your yard meant that you had "made it". They decided to use the land to grow Christmas Trees. This did not last long :) - but the saplings my dad planted by hand are still here & maybe 70' tall! Then my husband & I bought The Farm in 2017 for the 2nd forty years of our life & my parents built their little house right here. My husband and I immediately knew that our dream was to grow a different kind of "tree", so in 2019 we were among the first group to receive our license to grow hemp. We are passionate about both the hemp and cannabis plants! In 2020 when it finally became legal to grow cannabis, we immediately added that to our garden as well and 2nd 40 to 420 was born, or shall I say planted. We currently rent out our 2 RV's 3 Yurts & primitive sites , we also offer group bookings & Canna-friendly B&B options. We plan to add septic & electric hook-ups for RV's in the near future. Camp Cove Creek

Camp Cove Creek is located in rural Faber, Virginia which is 20 minutes from Charlottesville in beautiful Nelson County. In addition to the many natural features like the Blue Ridge Parkway, Appalachian Trail and the James River, Nelson is home to Wintergreen Resort and Oakridge Estate and hosts events such as the Lok'n Festival, Camp Jeep, and Overland Expo. Camp Cove Creek was originally part of the my grandparent's Waveland Farm. Originally situated on over 600 acres, the brick antebellum house across the hill was used as a hospital in the Civil War. The camp used to be a horse and cattle farm as well as a flea market and airport with grass airstrip when my Mom owned the land. Our vegetable garden was by the swimming hole. The airstrip is the future home of Faber Christmas tree farm. Camp Cove Creek is easily accessible via Rt 29 and Rt 6 east (Irish Road). Our property sits at the confluence of Bear and Cove Creeks where wading is permitted and encouraged (with water shoes). We are continually trying to improve the site by removing old barbed wire, poison ivy, and invasive plant species in addition to planting Christmas Trees, raising 3 kids, and working 2 full time jobs so please forgive our works in progress. Enter at the site we still call the Flea Market (1980's use of the hilltop). This is the top of our 12 acre camping playground. 4wd vehicles as well as human and electric powered toys are welcomed to drive "the dirt loop" and camp anywhere along it or the creeks bordering it. The loop is bordered by Irish Road to the south and creek bottoms to the west and north. We encourage walking the route first as it has intentionally been left primitive to provide more of an authentic and fun getaway adventure. Overlanding does tend to scratch paint no matter how tough the ceramic coating is so enter at your own risk! Nearby in the soapstone mining town of Schuyler you can visit the home place of Earl Hamner, best known for his creation of The Waltons TV show. While you're there check out the Waltons Mountain Museum, which happens to be my old elementary school and my parent's former high school. The dam bridge and quarry gardens are pretty cool too!

Safety, privacy and environmental impact is very important to us. We require a minimum of 50 feet between each campsite. Please contain all trash, human waste and canine waste and pack it out with you when you leave. About the property Home to two natural springs as well as plenty of surrounding woods for nature hikes, foraging, or light mountain biking, our property is within striking distance of Monticello, Rivanna River, James River, Shenandoah National Park, Charlottesville, Blue Ridge Parkway, Pleasant Grove Park, and more. The nearest towns are Charlottesville, Scottsville, and Palmyra. Within 5 miles, enjoy amazing canoeing, hiking, fishing, and disc golf. Hosts will greet campers and are generally around to address any issues or questions, but the site is totally private, so you’ll enjoy plenty of seclusion during your visit. About the listing The tiny house has three twin sized beds; one on the main level and the other two lofted above the main floor on opposite sides and accessed by a ladder. There is also ample space for setting up a tent outside of the tiny house and some campers have even managed to pull a small 8x10 trailer into the campsite. Take advantage of access to a private fire pit during your stay. There is also a stove in the cabin to keep you warm. The outhouse features a pit toilet. Additional details to note Early check-in or late checkout can be managed on a case by case note, depending on whether or not the campsite has other reservations. Pets are allowed. The property is a working farm, so please respect the animals and those who are working and be sure to close the gate behind you if you opened it. 4 wheel drive is recommended but not required. Host is able to assist with the final mile transportation if needed. There is no kitchen in the tiny home, but some minimal and random cookware is provided, along with a small Eureka! camping stove and camping grill, if you would like to bring your own camping stoves. Running water is not available in the cabin. The Host will provide five gallons of water for you and can always refill up at the farm, but feel free to bring additional water with you as well. There are some fish in the pond, but it is catch and release. Located conveniently between Richmond and Charlottesville only 3 miles off I-64 but feels like the secluded countryside. There are trails around the property to explore as well (please be considerate of other campers if present). You are welcome to visit the playground behind the tasting barn too. Porta johns also available in front of tasting room building, and water hose on East side of building for small amounts of water if needed (not intended to fill camper tanks). *Do note that we are a public business open Thurs-Mon, so there may be some noise and driveway traffic during open hours. Noise ordinance begins at 10pm, so it will wrap up by then at the latest. Though we encourage you to join the fun! UVA sports complex is only 30 minutes away and your able to go the back way in to skip the gridlock of the traffic. Please contain all trash, human waste and canine waste and pack it out with you when you leave. Camp Cove Creek

Camp Cove Creek is located in rural Faber, Virginia which is 20 minutes from Charlottesville in beautiful Nelson County. In addition to the many natural features like the Blue Ridge Parkway, Appalachian Trail and the James River, Nelson is home to Wintergreen Resort and Oakridge Estate and hosts events such as the Lok'n Festival, Camp Jeep, and Overland Expo. Camp Cove Creek was originally part of the my grandparent's Waveland Farm. Originally situated on over 600 acres, the brick antebellum house across the hill was used as a hospital in the Civil War. The camp used to be a horse and cattle farm as well as a flea market and airport with grass airstrip when my Mom owned the land. Our vegetable garden was by the swimming hole. The airstrip is the future home of Faber Christmas tree farm. Camp Cove Creek is easily accessible via Rt 29 and Rt 6 east (Irish Road). Our property sits at the confluence of Bear and Cove Creeks where wading is permitted and encouraged (with water shoes). We are continually trying to improve the site by removing old barbed wire, poison ivy, and invasive plant species in addition to planting Christmas Trees, raising 3 kids, and working 2 full time jobs so please forgive our works in progress. Enter at the site we still call the Flea Market (1980's use of the hilltop). This is the top of our 12 acre camping playground. 4wd vehicles as well as human and electric powered toys are welcomed to drive "the dirt loop" and camp anywhere along it or the creeks bordering it. The loop is bordered by Irish Road to the south and creek bottoms to the west and north. We encourage walking the route first as it has intentionally been left primitive to provide more of an authentic and fun getaway adventure. Overlanding does tend to scratch paint no matter how tough the ceramic coating is so enter at your own risk! Nearby in the soapstone mining town of Schuyler you can visit the home place of Earl Hamner, best known for his creation of The Waltons TV show. While you're there check out the Waltons Mountain Museum, which happens to be my old elementary school and my parent's former high school. The dam bridge and quarry gardens are pretty cool too!
