On arrival you'll come down our curvy driveway through the trees, and see our event barn on the left. To the barn's side is a communal space for campers to enjoy with a great view. This area has a wood-fired grill and farm table, with a handwashing station out front. The shared outhouse/composting toilet is next to the pine stand with a white roof.
We have sheep, pigs and a donkey rotating through pastures behind electric fencing. Take a walk to say hello, but don't touch the fence! We also have 3 very friendly farm cats.
Pork and lamb from our farm (as well as kiln-dried firewood) is available for purchase at our farm store.

I turned the home into The Fab 4 House, furnishing it with authentic Mid-century Modern furniture and naming each bedroom for 1 of the Beatles. I rent it out and it is great for events. Second Stay at the little vintage camper. Just as peaceful, quiet, and private and so close the Park. We waked to birdsong and chickens, which we enjoy. We used the firepit in the quiet of night with the stars for company. Bridgette is a great host and makes our stay easy and comfortable. An issue or two were addressed promptly and kindly.

The vintage camper was located in a quiet, peaceful location. It has the quaintness expected with a camper of this period. We enjoyed the privacy and the open space surrounding it. The soft chicken and rooster noise was welcome. The owner was quick to respond to any issues and quite kind as well as thoughtful. We were practically within Hanging Rock State Park so this camper stay made it easy for us to explore but still have a comfortable place to return.

It was perfect for my first solo camping trip and had all the necessities for ease rather than tent camping, plus extra sweet gifts from Bridgette including fresh eggs from her chickens. I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Log Cabin on Virginia Farm, and I can't say enough good things about my experience! From the moment I arrived, Shirley, our host, made us feel right at home. Her warm welcome and thoughtful personal touches truly set the tone for a relaxing getaway.
The cabin itself was exactly as described—cozy, clean, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The amenities were fantastic! We loved spending our afternoons by the pool, exploring the scenic walking trails, and enjoying some friendly competition on the ball courts. The fire pits were the perfect spot to unwind in the evenings, roasting marshmallows and sharing stories under the stars.
Overall, this stay exceeded my expectations. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat with plenty of activities to enjoy, I highly recommend the Log Cabin on Virginia Farm. Thank you, Shirley, for being such a wonderful host! I can't wait to return!

With a comfy bed and thousands of stars dancing in the sky that night...I very much enjoyed my stay with Rebecca on her beautiful land with a horse, goats, chickens, and 2 barn cats. Definitely on my list for a return visit whenever I find myself back in North Carolina.

1 night at Ancient Spring Farm
The Ancient Springs Farm glamp site is a sweet marvel! The Tobacco Pack House is real rustic charm, it was so lovely sleeping in a comfy bed right next to masses of flowers and in sight of the stars. Rebecca is a wonderful host, caring and generous while respecting privacy. We loved the farm tour; Rebecca is also an inspiring caretaker of the land, sharing great information about the land, animals, plants and gardens. The farm breakfast and other extras were a rare treat. Looking forward to returning!

Weekend Trip to Ancient Spring Farm
Rebecca was an excellent host: Professional, clean, hospitable, and very knowledgable on the agriculture and history of the Ancient Spring Farm Site. The site itself was also stunning-the perfect place for a solo retreat! The animals, the plants, the fresh farm-to-table breakfasts, the grounds...what a memorable experience! I would certainly recommend this place to others.

My husband and our two dogs loved our stay! The property is absolutely stunning! We made sure to wake up every morning for the incredible sunrise 🌅 It was very hot during our stay, but we were able to cool off in the pool and the AC was plenty for us to be comfortable while indoors. We mostly stayed by the pool because of the heat, but the barn and fire pit area were awesome! Everything was very clean and the kitchen fully stocked with everything we needed for our stay. Our dogs loved the front porch and being able to walk/run off leash. Shirley was extremely respectful of our privacy, but also made sure to leave us a friendly note with her number if we needed anything at all. 10/10 recommend this hipcamp 😊

What a wonderful place! It’s such a cool historical property, and the view is beautiful. The hike through the woods is very fun, as is the pool and all of the provided activities like tennis, fire pit, etc. The cabin has everything you need. We were there during some of the hottest days of summer, and the AC units and fans kept it plenty cool enough in the main living spaces and the main bedroom. If you had a larger group and needed to use the second bedroom, that might be too warm during the summer (but the living room could be used as a makeshift second bedroom too, and it has an AC unit). Shirley was very helpful and responsive and clearly takes great care of the property.

Everything was perfect. We loved our little glam open air bedroom. The time was purely magical.
We also upgraded to have breakfast. The fresh eggs and delicious bacon were top drawer!!
