A great place for children, I have swings and trees to climb, games, archaeological digs, scavenger hunts finding 10 different antique farm implements, and learning how they were used, to learning about mini microbe's and how to be friends with pollinators.

We are located on the Green Mountain Gravel Growler bike packing trail and 7 miles south of the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail. We have lots of hiking , biking, boating and swimming opportunities nearby. As private as private gets but only 6 miles to Newport Vt. There is a creek and a one acre pond (20 feet deep). It is all mixed hard and softwoods. It has some magnificent old growth trees 100 foot tall. There is a good rd that my friend has used with his Lincoln. Most any vehicle (car or Pickup)can get to the site. It gets a little tricky if you are pulling a trailer. A small one is OK but a large one - not so much....... The rd goes 1/2 mile to the rear of the land. Moose, deer and other critters visit too. We live 1/2 mile away from where you enter the woodlot. Our house is on Brownington Pond (200+ acres) & campers can use this site for swimming, boating & fishing. Hello, this Cedar Cabin is located on a private Dead End Road with direct ATV access from the cabin, this area is also known for great Wildlife moose, deer and much more. 10 minutes from the camp location is little diamond and big diamond pond, great fishing and kayaking. The property is equipped with an outdoor kitchen, gazebo with fire pit in the center, firewood bins full for purchase as an add on through hip camp, two kayaks with life vest no extra charge to use them just make sure that after they have been used they are rinsed off and put back into the original placement. property has power a functional toilet in the cabin along with a shower, also there is a Porter potty insert outhouse. There are three beds inside the cabin, bunk bed with a full size on the bottom twin on the top and a futon couch ***bring your own bedding, towels washcloths, paper products, plates, silverware** This Camp is rented through an honor system and because I rent it this way it saves you money by not paying all the cleaning fees like Airbnb, but you must leave the camp in the condition you found it or better taking anything brought to the property away ** especially trash or anything in the refrigerators** at your departure date. In the mountains we have streams, brooks, and rivers. There are many hotspots for fishing—lots of brook trout! No matter the rod you use, there are many places to try your skills. A fishing/hunting license is needed.

Got your own? Bring it! The Lamoille River is a few miles away and a favorite for water lovers. Don't have one, there is a great rental place down the road where you can take one out for the day. Looking for another option to the river? The Belvidere Pond is down the road and offers a peaceful place to paddle around surrounded by the mountains.

Want to learn about the maple sugaring process? We are always happy to give you a tour of our sugarhouse and the woods, and explain how we turn the tree sap into yummy Maple Syrup. (We only boil January-early April.) We do have this year's crop bottled and available for sale! Buy one for morning pancakes, to add to your morning coffee, or to take home!
WILDLIFE/BERRIES/MUSHROOMS/FIDDLEHEADS
Depending on the time of the year, you can find wild raspberries, blackberries, mushrooms, and fiddleheads. (Please do not pick or eat something if you don't know if it is poisonous!) And, wildlife are around. Look for tracks in the soil, signs they have been there, or if you are really quiet (usually in the early morning or at dusk) you might see deer, geese, or wild turkeys!

We also invite you to explore our cultivated fields of herbs and vegetables and become acquainted with the wide variety of tea, culinary, and medicinal herbs that we grow and process on our farm. You can also visit with the cows that spend their summer munching our delicious green pastures.
Our full line of herbs and herbal products are for sale via our website or at Free Verse Farm Shop, located just one mile from our farm in downtown Chelsea. Our Farm Shop offers a wide variety of fresh produce, provisions, fresh baked goods, alcoholic (& non-) beverages, and more to enjoy during your stay or as you continue on your journey.
AMENITIES: we offer a hot outdoor shower & sink, as well as an outhouse with a composting toilet. Each campsite has a firepit and a picnic table.
CAMPSITE DETAILS: We currently have 2 campsites open. They are located in meadows with beautiful views of the First Branch Valley and Chelsea village. 4 wheel drive is recommended, but not necessary, and you are always welcome to hike up to your site. The site is spacious and private.
LOCAL ATTRACTIONS: We also run Free Verse Farm Shop (OPEN: Tuesday-Friday 11am-6pm, Saturday 9am-3pm), a local grocery, café, and apothecary to serve our community and visitors to the area, while supporting local farms and artisans. You can also pre-order online (shop.freeversefarm.com) to pick up in store or ship your order around the USA.
The village of Chelsea hosts a weekly summer farmers market May-September on Fridays from 3-6pm (mid-May through September). In downtown Chelsea there is gas station (110 Quickstop), two town commons, a small library, and a general store (Will's Store), and a farm stand (Chicken Wiggle Farm).
Within 20-45 minutes of our farm you can reach the larger towns of Montpelier (state capital), South Royalton, Randolph, Woodstock, White River Junction, and the Upper Valley Region (Dartmouth College), all of which offer a wide variety of attractions and services. Upon your arrival, you will be given a welcome packet with more detailed information about our area, and we'll be happy to provide you with any other tips you're looking for.

This property is also the site: charming and cozy, rustic lake cottage, built in the late 1920s. AFFORDABLE! Host is a seasoned and high-rated host, and this is their summer residence, which is offered for very limited number of nights per season.
First come, first served regarding the three holiday weekends for any season book quickly: Labor Day (Memorial Day and Fourth of July already spoken for).
GUEST STAYS: Minimum age of person booking a guest stay is 25 years of age. The base rate is for one person, with modest upcharge for a second person. Due to the set-up of both the cottage and its furnishings plus the ROW for lake access, we cannot accommodate children under 14 nor pets. Guests are expected to be able to at least tread water or actually swim, so boating and fishing etc. here at the lake is at one's own risk, just as it is for us residents. State regulations require wearing a personal flotation vest whenever boating (host provided).
The cottage has its many charms, yet also some limitations: (1) due to this tiny parcel (50-ft square) parking for only vehicle (truck, van, car) -- no room for RVs or any trailer; (2) As with many waterfront properties, the cottage is on a septic HOLDING tank, not a full septic system, so everyone has to be conservative with water usage (shorter showers, ganging toilet flushing, tossing dishwater off the back porch); (3); Host's internet access is a limited data plan, which does not allow hours and hours of streaming content on a daily basis; (4) Host has a right-of-way down to the lake (with dock, chair, kayaks, rowboat etc.), so everyone needs to stay within the drive-lane width ROW.
WHAT TO BRING: All you need to bring are your apparel including swim togs and swim shoes, maybe your own well-fitting flotation vest for boating; sunscreen and bug repellent along with your preferred toiletries; maybe your fave bed pillow, plus food and beverage for your stay.

As private as private gets but only 6 miles to Newport Vt. There is a creek and a one acre pond (20 feet deep). It is all mixed hard and softwoods. It has some magnificent old growth trees 100 foot tall. There is a good rd that my friend has used with his Lincoln. Most any vehicle (car or Pickup)can get to the site. It gets a little tricky if you are pulling a trailer. A small one is OK but a large one - not so much....... The rd goes 1/2 mile to the rear of the land. Moose, deer and other critters visit too. We live 1/2 mile away from where you enter the woodlot. Our house is on Brownington Pond (200+ acres) & campers can use this site for swimming, boating & fishing. In the mountains we have streams, brooks, and rivers. There are many hotspots for fishing—lots of brook trout! No matter the rod you use, there are many places to try your skills. A fishing/hunting license is needed.

Got your own? Bring it! The Lamoille River is a few miles away and a favorite for water lovers. Don't have one, there is a great rental place down the road where you can take one out for the day. Looking for another option to the river? The Belvidere Pond is down the road and offers a peaceful place to paddle around surrounded by the mountains.

Want to learn about the maple sugaring process? We are always happy to give you a tour of our sugarhouse and the woods, and explain how we turn the tree sap into yummy Maple Syrup. (We only boil January-early April.) We do have this year's crop bottled and available for sale! Buy one for morning pancakes, to add to your morning coffee, or to take home!
WILDLIFE/BERRIES/MUSHROOMS/FIDDLEHEADS
Depending on the time of the year, you can find wild raspberries, blackberries, mushrooms, and fiddleheads. (Please do not pick or eat something if you don't know if it is poisonous!) And, wildlife are around. Look for tracks in the soil, signs they have been there, or if you are really quiet (usually in the early morning or at dusk) you might see deer, geese, or wild turkeys!

CAMPSITE DETAILS: We currently have 2 campsites open. They are located in meadows with beautiful views of the First Branch Valley and Chelsea village. 4 wheel drive is recommended, but not necessary, and you are always welcome to hike up to your site. The site is spacious and private.
LOCAL ATTRACTIONS: We also run Free Verse Farm Shop (OPEN: Tuesday-Friday 11am-6pm, Saturday 9am-3pm), a local grocery, café, and apothecary to serve our community and visitors to the area, while supporting local farms and artisans. You can also pre-order online (shop.freeversefarm.com) to pick up in store or ship your order around the USA.
The village of Chelsea hosts a weekly summer farmers market May-September on Fridays from 3-6pm (mid-May through September). In downtown Chelsea there is gas station (110 Quickstop), two town commons, a small library, and a general store (Will's Store), and a farm stand (Chicken Wiggle Farm).
Within 20-45 minutes of our farm you can reach the larger towns of Montpelier (state capital), South Royalton, Randolph, Woodstock, White River Junction, and the Upper Valley Region (Dartmouth College), all of which offer a wide variety of attractions and services. Upon your arrival, you will be given a welcome packet with more detailed information about our area, and we'll be happy to provide you with any other tips you're looking for.

This property is also the site: charming and cozy, rustic lake cottage, built in the late 1920s. AFFORDABLE! Host is a seasoned and high-rated host, and this is their summer residence, which is offered for very limited number of nights per season.
First come, first served regarding the three holiday weekends for any season book quickly: Labor Day (Memorial Day and Fourth of July already spoken for).
GUEST STAYS: Minimum age of person booking a guest stay is 25 years of age. The base rate is for one person, with modest upcharge for a second person. Due to the set-up of both the cottage and its furnishings plus the ROW for lake access, we cannot accommodate children under 14 nor pets. Guests are expected to be able to at least tread water or actually swim, so boating and fishing etc. here at the lake is at one's own risk, just as it is for us residents. State regulations require wearing a personal flotation vest whenever boating (host provided).
The cottage has its many charms, yet also some limitations: (1) due to this tiny parcel (50-ft square) parking for only vehicle (truck, van, car) -- no room for RVs or any trailer; (2) As with many waterfront properties, the cottage is on a septic HOLDING tank, not a full septic system, so everyone has to be conservative with water usage (shorter showers, ganging toilet flushing, tossing dishwater off the back porch); (3); Host's internet access is a limited data plan, which does not allow hours and hours of streaming content on a daily basis; (4) Host has a right-of-way down to the lake (with dock, chair, kayaks, rowboat etc.), so everyone needs to stay within the drive-lane width ROW.
WHAT TO BRING: All you need to bring are your apparel including swim togs and swim shoes, maybe your own well-fitting flotation vest for boating; sunscreen and bug repellent along with your preferred toiletries; maybe your fave bed pillow, plus food and beverage for your stay.

We are located 5 miles off a class 3 road. Conditions will vary depending on the season. A 4WD vehicle is recommended as we are a remote and mountainous location. Cell service is spotty and there is currently no wifi available. Be prepared to take a tech break while you are here.

Small Camper on your own private campsite, water, electric, heat, ac-- its like camping but just a little "fancy".
This is a small camper so best suited for two people but the dinette does turn into a very "very" small bed if an extra person or child wanted to join.
We are close to Franconia State Park, Lincoln/Woodstock and Waterville Valley. We have a beautiful set up nestled in the woods. Covered gazebo with table and chairs, covered cooking space, electric BBQ, fire pit, river tubes and more. Enjoy our trail thru woods and enjoy waving to Cafe Lafayette Dinner Train go by. We live right next door so if you forget anything or have questions we are just hop, skip and jump away.
**We do allow dogs but must remain leashed at all times, we have two dogs on our property that are trained to stay within our property line and we have neighbors who strongly prefer no dogs on their property as they have guests staying there- we need to fully respect this so we can continue to allow dogs at this listing.

Sandy was a wonderful host! She greeted us when we arrived and had the sauna heated up and ready to go, which was such a nice touch. She was very easy to get in touch with and always available whenever we needed anything. The space itself is unique, cute, beautiful, and so relaxing. This was our second time at Sandy’s property and we can’t decide what our favorite season to visit is! There are so many amazing qualities: privacy, lack of light pollution, views, etc. that already have us planning our next visit. Beautiful campsites on a hill overlooking the valley. Each site had a covered picnic table, tent platforms, electricity, and a sink. Bathhouse with hot water was a real treat. Hosts were communicative and helpful. Highly recommend.

3 nights at Camp whiskey throttle
Anthony's venue made one of the most memorable trips possible for my friends and I, as we made space away from our day jobs.
The camp is remote, scenic, and close by to most necessary resources (there is a LaPerle's market a few minutes drive away with everything we could imagine!). Additionally, there is a beautiful waterfall just 15-20 minutes away called Beaver Brook Falls with small trails and picnic benches.
Despite NH being on drought warning and our group not being able to enjoy a campfire, we felt no setbacks in our plans. On top of this, Anthony provided excellent turnaround in communications and incredibly gracious accommodations.
Excellent camp, even more amazing host. I would recommend this hipcamp 1000/10!

Beautiful location, accommodating and welcoming hosts. Very nice clean bathrooms, showers, and laundry! Best I've ever seen at a camp ground. Sites are pretty private with their own sink and tent. It is in the middle of nowhere but pretty easy to find off the main road. Dog friendly. Wish we could have stayed longer!

The property here was amazing to be at. I was part of a 4.person group bikepacking through Vermont and came across this as an option for reprieve during a to be rainy night. The main lodge was very homey, communal, and clean. A huge kitchen and plenty of seating/hang out area for folks to catch up and chat. Honestly we would have loved to stay longer and get to know even more about the place as it seemed to have some good history and current operations to it.

There are great trails right on the property that wind through some beautiful woods, as well as longer trails around the quaint and peaceful neighborhood. HOWL is a lovely place to stay! The hosts were welcoming and warm, opened their home as if I was an old friend and made sure that I felt comfy and ready to enjoy the beautiful surrounds. Weekend Trip to Maple Rock Hollow
We stayed at the Maple Rock Hallow Cabin during fall leaf foliage. The host Kathy was great! The cabin was easy to find, cozy and had all of the amenities we were looking for. The cabin is about 45 minutes to Stowe, which is where we wanted to explore. We did not have great cell service in the area, but we expected that. The cabin had streaming services on the TV. It was a perfect stay and we 100% recommend!

Weekend Trip to Golden Maple Farm - Camping
This was a gorgeous spot! Very peaceful, lots of area to explore (forest trails, streams, covered bridges and various farms (including llama!) closeby, and more), and the host was so kind and welcoming. We hope to stay again!! Definitely recommend for a peaceful camping trip in a beautiful spot.
