Former Dairy Farm but, the milking and hay barns burned many years Past. Harold's View Farm now camping. There are 4 entrances to the 80 acres of hay fields, now camping sites. Three entrances are for two sites each, the house entrance is for any questions. Please stop in if you have questions. The fields have been maintained to some degree until 2019 when Lee came up with the idea of primitive camping. The land turns out to be ideal because each site makes you feel like the only campers there. New this year you will find a picnic table for 6 and a 3 Ft. dia. fire pit with adjustable grill that flips out for open fire @ each site. Another new item is open to the sky "Hot Shower"

We love camping, and when we decided that state campgrounds and the like were just too busy, we found this amazing, secluded property on a small lake with no public access. There is a cabin on the property, which is available for limited rentals. However, we have a great flat yard just a short (2 min) walk to South Pond thats perfect for a tent. There's a rustic outhouse, fire pit, picnic table, and usually games like badminton setup. Our property is a couple miles down a private dirt road. Fishing is great (with a license of course), and the water is perfect for kayaking and paddle boarding.

Weekend Trip to Quiet Green Mountain Lake Camp

It was a great location to the pond. The addition of the kayaks made it even better. The cabin is cozy with the wood stove and perfect for our family. Loved the outdoor shower. The fire pit was perfect for making s'mores on the clear night among the stars. As I spent our last morning looking over the water with a loon swimming by fishing for breakfast, I realized that there is a reason this place is called Eden.

Total privacy. Snug, clean tent. It was nice to have a tent all set up after five days of camping out of our car with a tent. Bed was super comfie. Fire place close by was nice. Plenty of wood for fire. Walking trail well groomed. Outside shower was intriguing and a plus. Best of all, pets allowed. Owners were ready to talk to.

This is my second time staying at Louella’s land and first time at the tent site. We loved the privacy and amenities including the shower, washing station, and fire pit. If you are visiting in the summer bring all of the bug protection you can. It’s quite buggy but that is not the fault of the property or the owner. We had bug zappers, bug spray, and a semi-smoky fire going. We are definitely planning on coming back in the fall.

This site is unbelievably great. I've been here twice and have already booked a third time. The amount of space, the privacy, the view. Great for groups. Louella is an excellent host with more firewood and well water right up the road. Hot outdoor shower is an excellent bonus.

What a gorgeous property and tent site! The views were beautiful, the Hemlock tent was so clean and comfortable, we had a nice fire at night and enjoyed walking around. We can’t wait to come back!

Harold’s View stands out as a destination camp spot in rural Vermont for its breathtaking vistas and comfortable offerings. For starters, the tent was very roomy, nicely appointed and remained dry for the duration of our time there. We were able to set up our dogs’ crate by the opening and still had enough room to get in & out easily. Memory foam thick mattress was comfy, while warm blanket & extra comforter kept the chill from the 40* night air at bay. Water for washing up & shower was piping hot! Porta was a short walk up the gravel road away from the campsite. Little extras, such as all-in-one soap/shampoo, towels, tissues, wipes, etc were appreciated. Things to know: stay on the gravel road as you drive to the site & park, especially if it’s been raining. A small run off to the right is deceptively deep & feeds into the pond. Also, if you’re traveling with dogs, best to let the hosts know in advance.
