This area is so diverse in its offering. Lake Iroquois is 200 yards from the site with access to the beach and boat launch one mile down the road. Lake Champlain is 15 miles to the west from us with varied access to swimming, boating, and water sports. Bikers can enjoy dirt road rides, flow trails, single track, and endless paved roads in Hinesburg and near-by towns. Hikers can hit the hills nearby or further away. Camels Hump State Park and access to the Long Trail is just 15 miles away. Need a city fix? Burlington is also 15 miles away and offers shopping, dining, a lively waterfront, music, the arts and more. Don't want to go far away? The Texas Hill Brook site is a flat, wooded campsite on Texas Hill Brook in Huntington. The campsite is roughly 10m x 30m (30' x 100'), large enough for several tents or a small camper/RV. It is accessed by a sloped 50m (about 150') gravel driveway. The narrowest part of the driveway is 2.6m (about 8.5 feet). There is a 3m x 3m (10' x 10') tent platform and a large picnic table. Firewood is provided. Near our home about 120m/400 feet away through the trees but relatively private. Within a short pedal or drive to some of the best mountain biking and hiking Vermont has to offer, 15 minutes to Richmond and Hinesburg, and just a half hour to Burlington. Electricity on site, primitive fire pit, but no other facilities, so ALL waste must be packed out. We have a bucket commode to loan if you don’t have your own.

We've been farming here for 22 years, growing 5 acres of vegetables and flowers, all marketed within 50 miles of the farm. The farm sits on 90 acres right up against the Hogbacks and is only 5 miles from quaint Bristol village and tons of outdoor recreation opportunities.

4WD recommended, ice and rain can greatly affect the roads.
There is a parking spot available to park across from Deer Road. Take the very short walk to the yurt.
Near our site is Green Mountain National Forest to explore. Blueberry Lake is just a short walk down our hill. Blueberry Lake is widely used year round for swimming, ice fishing, seasonal fishing, kayaking and canoeing.
Long Trail nearby
Bike trails/x country ski trails are connected right to our homestead. Continue on the trail and access some of the best mountain biking trails and snow biking, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and hiking.
Sugarbush Resort is a 10 minute drive and is one of the best ski mountains in the area!
If you are looking for gym and shower facilities, you can stop into the Sugarbush Resort, just a short driving distance, for a day pass fee.

Recently we have added the winter season for the adventurous Clamping crowd. The cottage is very private, with alpacas nearby. We have amazing western views of the Adirondack mountains, and are 20 minutes from Middlebury, Vergennes; 1 hour from Burlington and Rutland and 45min from Middlebury Snowbowl Ski Area.

Full of scenic waterfalls along a Vermont mountain brook, our daughter named the land after dynamite was found during renovations of the former one-room schoolhouse on the property 5 years ago. Naturalists will love the brookside trails, many dipping pools, a zip line, hammocks, and a privy with a woodland view. There are several scenic campsites on the 150 acres, but only one will be rented each night to ensure a special experience. Wifi and power available across the brook outside the farmhouse as needed. No cell service. Spend lazy days exploring the woods, reading a book in a hammock, or sunning yourself on a rock in the river. A newer, larger tent has been set up for 2025 .
Roxbury is the geographic center of Vermont - which makes it a great basecamp for adventures. Warren / Sugarbush is 20-25 minutes to the west. Montpelier is 20 minutes to the north. Randolph is 20 minutes to the south. Two brewpubs are within 15 minutes.

We milk a herd of fifty holstein, jersey, guernsey, and ayrshire cows. We are right off the Long Trail, Catamount Trail, and VAST trail systems.
We have mountain bike trails on the farm as well as a great swimming hole. This enchanting yurt is very special to us! Previous friends and guests have exclaimed how romantic it is.
It has electricity, a tiny refrigerator, wood stove and a comfy bed. The composting toilet is available outside.
To get to the yurt
4WD recommended, ice and rain can greatly affect the roads.
There is a parking spot available to park across from Deer Road. Take the very short walk to the yurt.
Near our site is Green Mountain National Forest to explore. Blueberry Lake is just a short walk down our hill. Blueberry Lake is widely used year round for swimming, ice fishing, seasonal fishing, kayaking and canoeing.
Long Trail nearby
Bike trails/x country ski trails are connected right to our homestead. Continue on the trail and access some of the best mountain biking trails and snow biking, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and hiking.
Sugarbush Resort is a 10 minute drive and is one of the best ski mountains in the area!
If you are looking for gym and shower facilities, you can stop into the Sugarbush Resort, just a short driving distance, for a day pass fee.
Massages are available as a add on during booking!

We have a vineyard of Marquette grapes that are so delicious, that we have to race the birds for them in the fall. Our land is quiet, off the beaten path, and brimming with beautiful views of mountains, hills, valleys with winding creeks.
This property has seen years of agriculture as a sheep farm, dairy farm and a fence company.

We are a working Alpaca and Beef farm in Central Vermont. Our cottage is available in the spring, summer and fall to Airbnb guests. Recently we have added the winter season for the adventurous Clamping crowd. The cottage is very private, with alpacas nearby. Hiking, xc-skiing (bring your own) and The Vast (Snowmobile)trails are also nearby. We have amazing western views of the Adirondack mountains, and are 20 minutes from Middlebury, Vergennes; 1 hour from Burlington and Rutland and 45min from Middlebury Snowbowl Ski Area.

Full of scenic waterfalls along a Vermont mountain brook, our daughter named the land after dynamite was found during renovations of the former one-room schoolhouse on the property 5 years ago. Naturalists will love the brookside trails, many dipping pools, a zip line, hammocks, and a privy with a woodland view. There are several scenic campsites on the 150 acres, but only one will be rented each night to ensure a special experience. Wifi and power available across the brook outside the farmhouse as needed. No cell service. Spend lazy days exploring the woods, reading a book in a hammock, or sunning yourself on a rock in the river. A newer, larger tent has been set up for 2025 .
Roxbury is the geographic center of Vermont - which makes it a great basecamp for adventures. Warren / Sugarbush is 20-25 minutes to the west. Montpelier is 20 minutes to the north. Randolph is 20 minutes to the south. Two brewpubs are within 15 minutes.

The Rooney Farm is an 820 acre working organic dairy farm and maple sugarbush in Morristown, VT that has been stewarded by the Rooney family for four generations. We milk a herd of fifty holstein, jersey, guernsey, and ayrshire cows. We are right off the Long Trail, Catamount Trail, and VAST trail systems.
We have mountain bike trails on the farm as well as a great swimming hole. We have miles of hiking trails that link up to the Beaver Meadow trail network in the Vermont State Forest as well as Morristown Forest trails. Our camp has two full size beds and sleeps four people. The camp is not winterized: will protect you from wind and snow but not the cold!

Super cool very well curated space. The wood stove kept the pace plenty warm and the complimentary tea was great. Definitely heed the warnings about driving up the road in the winter without winter tires though.

Weekend Trip to Secluded Glamping in the Woods
Our first glamping experience was wonderful. Sally’s place was a well-equipped, spacious site in a very private, quiet & lovely wooded setting.
Sally was very responsive and especially helpful in providing extra support for us to prepare for an especially chilly night during our stay!
We recommend this site and appreciated the beautiful, rural VT setting to get there.

Weekend Trip to Camp Way Wild
Ken hosts one of the most incredible campsites I’ve had the pleasure of staying at, and it doesn’t hurt that he’s one of the kindest souls I’ve met too!
Make sure to bring a camera when you visit, the view is not something you’ll want to forget, nor the beautiful sites around the campground.
This is a must-stay, and I won’t be surprised if Ken ends up being booked year-round!!!
(Also, we recommend a car with higher suspension and four wheel drive as to make the trip up to the lean-to easier!)

Weekend Trip to The Hollow at Dynamite Falls
Absolutely beautiful raw nature! The steep walk up is well worth it! Tent is spacious and comfortable. Take the trip to the hollow, not an easy hike but the reward is amazing! The zip line was so much fun, we now need one at home lol. We even enjoyed the occasional sound of the trains going by below. Can't wait to return in the spring!!

Beautiful and easy to find spot with basically everything you could need for a no frills glamping weekend and the outhouse is probably the nicest one I’ve ever been in. My dogs loved running around in the field and the inside of the tent was very spacious. Susan and Drew stopped by to introduce themselves and make sure we were all set for the weekend. Highly recommend!

Ken’s site is just perfect. To die for view. Very nice lean to with a hammock where we stood our tent. Clear instructions. He sent a map and called to make sure we will settle good. You need a four wheel vehicle to get close to the lean to. Otherwise, there’s a nice campsite near the bathhouse as well. We loved our stay here. Felt super safe. And the outhouse is very accessible too if you need to go in the middle of the night. Thank you, Ken!

The cabin is a 1.5 mile walk to the Historic Stowe Village so it is very conveniently located to many restaurants and hikes like Stowe Pinnacle. It is a unique experience for 2-3 people in a small cabin with a firewood hot tub, cold tub soak in a gazebo, a wood stove sauna, two fire pits, an outhouse, a screened porch and grill. Another good feature is that dogs are welcome and have room to roam and relax. Rick was very responsive and accommodating in making sure we were comfortable with everything. He provided great suggestions for dining and hikes. We had another nice stay in beautiful Stowe for a popular fall foliage weekend.

Weekend Trip to BlueberryHill Field Camp
My husband and I LOVED our two-night stay in the bed-in-the-shed this past weekend. We've been up to Blueberry Hill Outdoor Center to do some gravel riding before and knew what to expect as far as amenities go. We were super pleased to have such a lovely, quiet and peaceful place to rest our heads. Shari was kind in her welcome and super communicative before and throughout our stay. We loved staying in the yurt during leaf peeping season! We were very warm, cozy, and feeling ‘off the grid’ in this secluded sunshine flooded spot with very little, if any, cell service. Our 26 lb pocket pittie had a blast running around all the hills and hopping around in the brush like a bunny. She was very sad when it was time to leave. I think this spot would be excellent for folks with small children as well because there’s plenty of nooks and crannies to explore without going very far. We loved sitting at the outdoor breakfast nook, reading, and napping in the breeze.

Weekend Trip to Fieldstone Farm
5 stars from a cousin duo & their dogs visiting from Saratoga NY! My cousin isn’t much of a camper so we met in the middle with this glamping tent not too far from civilization. She remarked she specifically liked that there were people living close by (but not too close) and the composting outhouse. Also, if you’re reading this and wondering whether you should pay to have firewood already at the site, definitely do it! Owners supply you with much more firewood than you can buy on the side of the road. Such a lovely weekend all around. Thank you!

This place was AWESOME! Rick provided everything we needed and more. He even had the sauna hot and ready for us when we arrived! The cabin was in the perfect location, close to everything.
