One of the oldest properties in town the Day Homestead (as it is known) dates back hundreds of years and our house was built in 1810.
It was run as a successful trout farm of 70+ years.

We have two sites on our historic Vermont trout farm. The first site sits near our post and beam "run in" horse barn. It's a very flat site with easy road access and has 30 AMP electric service and we can provide potable water to fill up your tank. The second site sits a little further back (also very easy access) and closer to Quation Brook. It is better suited for boondocking as it is a little ways from the 30 AMP outlets. Again water is available. Our farm is very rural but close (2 miles) to interstate 89 with a well stocked country store in town. It's a quiet setting near the gardens and a small stream. We are a small hobby farm that grows and sells produce to local coops. We also produce and sell Vermont maple syrup and salsa.

My Haven sits on 2.25 acres. It is walking distance to Lake Paran and the Robert Frost Trail, as well as the small quaint town of North Bennington. You can see mountains and there are more hiking trails throughout the county. The back and side of the property is wooded, very private! The view is of a meadow and mountain (Mount Anthony).
There is a fire pit and access to water and electricity.
The Haven is on a dead end road. A beautiful, quiet place to rest your head. And if you are seeking adventure there are plenty of things to do!

The site was as advertised. Noah and his mother Steffanie run a beautiful grateful Dead themed property!
We stayed in sight one I had a picnic table and a fire pit Wood was close by and reasonably priced at five dollars!

Absolutely wonderful place! The views of both sunrise and sunset are breathtaking, the location is perfect, and the property is very well maintained. Our host, Stephanie, was incredibly welcoming and helpful. Grateful Acres is just 25 minutes from great restaurants and coffee shops, and only 5 minutes from the stunning Somerset Reservoir and nearby hiking trails. We loved our stay and would love to come back!

We enjoyed our stay at Dave’s place. We didn’t have any issues finding it and the options for parking were nice and level. And we were pleasantly surprised by having decent cell service (after hardly any coverage driving through Vermont all day). Likewise, we met Dave and he was very welcoming. We’d look to stay again if we’re in the area.

Did one night tent camping while passing through the area on the rainiest night haha. I didn’t meet anyone on site but Stephanie was super fast replying via messages! Tent site was level and clean with a lot of space, there was a fire grate and picnic table and the pit toilet was seriously the nicest pit toilet I’ve used (only pit toilet I’ve ever called aesthetically pleasing!). You do need to drive a 7-mile dirt road to reach the property, it was fine for my Prius (just some very minor washboarding in a few places) but if you also have a city car you’ll definitely be driving a bit slower than Google Map‘s estimate.

Noah was very accommodating and provided great recommendations for activity in the area. We loved hiking at the reservoir and walking around Wilmington, which was a scenic drive. We had a fantastic time at Will's riverside site. We stayed for two nights as a stop on our drive from Maine to Ohio, and what a gem this place was! We loved falling asleep to the sound of the river. Our dog had a blast playing in the water—it was a bit too chilly for us, but we'd love to return in warmer weather. We spent our day hiking and exploring the cute local towns. Bigfoot Coffee was excellent, and we really enjoyed Beer Naked Brewery. Coming back to camp to relax by the fire and listen to the water was the perfect way to end the day. Will was easy to get in touch with and sent a text before we arrived. There was some road noise during the day, but it wasn't bad, and the nights were peaceful. Overall, we loved our stay. You can tell Will genuinely enjoys sharing this beautiful spot, from all the small touches around the camp.

We stopped here for a night on our way to and from a road trip. Stephanie was wonderful to work with. We stayed in the Daydream cabin and it was clean, comfortable, and absolutely adorable. Quiet and peaceful stop. It was like heaven laying in the hammock and watching the stars. Highly recommend.

What a find!! Beautiful ,spacious and private spot! Just an amazing camp site on a river bend.The compost toilet was so clean and didn’t see one spider… listening to the water flowing was relaxing and a clearing to star gaze.My pup enjoyed the spot as well.Everything you need is provided..Will was an amazing host!
