*Landscape/Views - Utah natural landscape changes markedly with the seasons. Some photos may reflect green grasses, when these dry out mid summer, they can produce fine stickers to be aware of with long hair pets, kids, and ankles in general.

You will be able to get to our park easily from I-70, only 5 minutes away! The beauty of our location is that we are hidden in a small (little green) valley, just south of Richfield and right at the base of Monroe Mountain. We have the best location and views in the area of Monroe and Richfield! We designed our park to give our guests a taste of small town life. This site is located an a lovely farm and as it has only one site, you have complete privacy. The host was a very friendly gentleman who welcomed me on arrival and checked again on me in the morning but otherwise left me to enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Although the water was turned off for the season, I did have electricity. I would definitely stay here again.

We boondock in our SUV so the spot was more than we needed. That being said, we were the only ones there and the red rock back ground was gorgeous, and the night sky so bright and clear. The porta-jon was clean and fresh. Other than the rain/wind storm that blew in for about an hour or two early in the morning, it was a very comfortable stay!

Directions and communication were excellent. It was easy to find. I had read some reviews about it being windy and I got lucky and had no wind.!
It was chilly… First ice on my windshield all season! There is another house right there which at first seems a little invasive, but actually it felt safer to me to know people were around as I was traveling solo.

Great location for touring Capital Reef and surrounding area. The back sites on the fence are the best but there is no walking/hiking to speak of out of the campground. Property is well kept, bathrooms/showers clean and nice. The one big drawback was that the dump station doesn't have water so it's really not usable. We just pulled in to one of the sites that had sewer hook-up, glad one was empty.

This is a nice place - they have showers, a restaurant, even a big gift shop. The site itself isn't that interesting, but the back side looks out on the desert. You can bike into town. The hosts are nice. Their cinnamon muffins are really good!

Sites were well maintained. Most had trees that gave partial shade. Park staff were friendly and helpful. WiFi was decent. In fact on this trip (coast to coast and return) it was among the best we encountered. The campground is surrounded by a split rail fence and beyond the fence you’re on Forest Service land so your dog can be off leash.
The campground is only a few minutes from the dam and visitors center at the south end of Flaming Gorge.

What fun, white silty soil, a weathered abandoned homestead, wonderful view and awesome sunrise. Definitely worth a visit.
