Heavily wooded acreage with goats, horses and donkeys. There is no light pollution and if there are no clouds you can see the stars very clearly. We have a ton of wild birds. Owls and Cara Cara are common. There are deer, feral hog and two resident packs of coyote. We also have ring tail cats, which are nocturnal and rare. The best seasons are October 1st thru the end of April. It gets VERY hot and dry in the summer and can just be miserable. We have a shared bathroom and an outdoor shower and tub. If you are a single woman or a family with children, we don't take other bookings while you are visiting the farm. You will have the place to yourselves. The only exception being my family and I, if we are working or staying over at the farm. We should have a second bunkhouse up and running by fall of 2025. If you are tent camping, you may camp anywhere on the property but there are certain spaces that may make curious horses your roomies.

Depth varies from 4 feet at our stairs to 10+ feet in the middle of the channel. Additionally, there's no boat traffic, so it's ideal for kayaking and fishing year round. Water flow slows in warmer seasons, and plumes of button moss intermittently float up from the bottom, collecting at water's edge. We still swim among the button moss, but it may not be ideal for some. Unfortunately, there's no way to predict when it will emerge and how long it stays. We had an amazing camping experience! The campsite was incredibly private and secluded, surrounded by beautiful trees that made us feel like we had our own little piece of nature. It was peaceful, quiet, and the perfect place to relax and disconnect. One of the highlights of our stay was spending the evening looking up at the beautiful night sky. It was such a special experience and gave us the opportunity to create wonderful memories together as a family. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway in nature, we highly recommend this campground!

Weekend Trip to Wooded Retreat Near Town On 5 Acres

Awesome little camping hideaway just minutes from town! The RV is very vintage and has a wonderful retro feel on the inside, plus BLESSED AIR CONDITIONING for these brutal Texas Summer days. Many of the amenities of home (Keurig, toilet, shower, A/C, stove, microwave, etc.) but none of the distractions (no WiFi folks- enjoy nature!). Also, there's a nice fire pit right outside as well as two very comfy lounge chairs off to one side with little fairy lights on the side tables that come on at dusk to go along with the awesome string lights surrounding the entire site so you can enjoy a peaceful evening with a drink or two after dark outside. It's just over 30 minutes from San Antonio, so close enough for a great retreat from the crowds while visiting, or a relaxing solo getaway to just recharge and unwind. The host is super-responsive and very friendly; I had absolutely no issues with check in or check out. I will definitely be back!

Tamara and Landers were great hosts, very welcoming, friendly and cool people. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the modern airstream. It was a nice getaway from downtown Austin. We also managed to cook steak over the cauldron that Tamara kindly helped us set up. Would definitely come back again if we have the chance!

We loved camping on Heather’s land! It’s very peaceful and secluded, but close enough to everything you wanna do in the Hill Country. Adorable vintage trailer with solid AC. Complete kitchen outfitted for cooking. Water pressure and temperature were fantastic. It’s a small camper with equally small bathroom, shower, and bunks, so consider that if you’re tall.

The place was great! The gated area was huge, plenty of room for the dogs to play fetch and chase each other around. Airstream has everything you need. Hosts were super accommodating, let us borrow salt and butter which we had forgotten. We would definitely stay here again!

This place is like an entire homey camping neighborhood renting out the entire camping neighborhood experience. The grounds were beautiful, the staff was so friendly and helpful, and it's situated right near tons of river activities. I stayed in a tiny home with my 5 year old, but we're trying the teepees next time!

Enjoy a true glamping experience in our renovated vintage Avion (similar to Airstream) camper.

Ultimate dog family getaway! Completely fenced in yard, no holes. My boys (dogs) loved the sound of nature out there and enjoyed the freedom of just roaming around. Weekend Trip to 3 Dry Wells Ranch

We loved our time at 3 dry Wells Ranch! We stayed in the sunset Hill Bell tent and it was perfect. We fit 3 people and 2 dogs comfortably. The view was amazing, and truly saw the most beautiful sunset. We felt secluded and it was super quiet! Just great place to unwind. Hosts were amazing, William brought us a second generous stack of wood we purchased for the pit. Well worth the money. Thank you!

Weekend Trip to Sound Ground

My gal friend and I had a great time at Sound Garden. We had the campground all to ourselves which made for lots of music playing and exploring the little trails throughout the grounds. 🎶🌱 Agarita was very comfortable, especially since it was a step up from the usual tent/air mattress situation. Very clean and cozy. Loved our visits from the ground animals, Rita and Cinnamon! Could have easily wandered over to Blanco State Park for some water relief, but we had enough activities and the weather was beautiful, so we stayed put. Kasey was a great host and the campground (including the outhouse) was super well kept. Bring bug spray!

1 night at Robins Nest AReal Treehouse w/ac

The Robins Nest is a really special place, a true hidden gem. My wife and I just stayed here for Memorial Day weekend and it was so peaceful. We spent two nights here and enjoyed soaking in the cowboy tub with the camp firing going and making smores. There’s nobody for miles and you get true privacy in the most beautiful treehouse. Shellie is so accommodating and really made our stay! A host like this is rare, you can tell she pours love into this treehouse with each little detail. My wife and I will definitely be back with our pup, I think he enjoyed it even more than we did, which is very hard to do ;)

2 nights at Wooded Retreat Near Town On 5 Acres

Our family (My wife and I and our 2 yr old) had a blast here. The Trailer was perfect, we made breakfast each morning in the kitchen before heading to the State Park only 30 mins away. Great location, great ammenities, hosts were quick to respond to all questions. Short drives to NB, Gurene Hall, and the state parks. HEB close by for any last minute needs. Will definitely be coming back.
