Our first night camping ever with our new RV! The hosts were so nice and welcoming, gave us boards to help with leveling. Super friendly and helpful, we'd love to come back with the kids since there was a playground and several games available! Super relaxing and peaceful!

Quiet, woodsy, safe and serene! Andy, the owner’s German Shepherd, camped with me and is just the sweetest dog! Linda is a great host and helped resolve my battery pack issues by running power all the way down to my site so everything had power and full charge is restored to my battery pack and me! She has a beautiful spot with a fire pit all set up, plenty of chairs, 2 grills and an eating table and another small folding table too. The outhouse is charming! Great place-I’ll be back if I’m ever this way. Thanks Linda!

2 nights at The Retreat @ Borah Farm

We enjoyed the peaceful and quietness of the pond site. the vast property is a great place to walk and explore. We foraged for wild Blackberry's for a tasty cobbler. The horses on the property are friendly and a very nice addition. Our miniature schnauzer and we enjoyed getting acquainted with the horses and they followed us around while we foraged and explored the property. We will be back!

Easy to find, peaceful setting! If you like birding you will love this property! Hosts were prompt and try timely in communication.

I thoroughly enjoyed camping in my RV in site 1. Being surrounded by woods and the countryside location, allowed me to recharge through nature. The hosts even fixed me up with kindling in the fire pit so I could enjoy a campfire at night. What a thoughtful touch!

We loved camping on Jill & Anthony’s land. They were very accommodating and informative. It was very peaceful and relaxing. The privacy and ability to let my child run and have activities to do was very nice. We will definitely be back.

1 night at The W of Texas

Great stop near the interstate for an overnight stay on our roadtrip from SC to TX.

My second time out to the location. Grass was a little longer this time but it didn't take away from my ability to setup camp, make a good meal, and relax enjoying the outdoors. Though every place in Texas has them, I didn't run into any ant hills where I setup.

2 nights at Sleep Under the Pecan Trees

Quiet and scenic. Free-roaming horses, mules and donkeys add the perfect touch.

2 nights at Heavenly Haven & Hideaways

Host is very friendly and responsive but not intrusive, they go above and beyond to ensure enjoyment of your stay with them. Lots of space and very friendly pup neighbors to wear your (friendly) pups out! Stay with them if needing a place to stay in Tyler, you won’t be disappointed!

We loved Rick’s place with the great fishing and friendly horses. It was a bit muddy with all the rain but we still had a great time and Rick was a great host. We will definitely be back.

3 nights at Sleep Under the Pecan Trees

I am not one with words, but if you read one review, read this one. We arrived and Rick was full of stories and information about the property. He took us to our site (4 wheel drive is a MUST!) which was amazing. He allowed us to rearrange the picnic table and fire ring to our liking. The next morning Rick set our eggs out that we purchased through him at 6am. We went fishing and caught four 2-2.8 pounders. It was amazing! That sunset I took the photography class presented by Rick. It was wonderful. Got a lot of information and he took me to some pretty spots I had not seen before. That evening it rained and stormed. Our tent collapsed and our gear was soaked. This was my first time camping, and because the amazing time Rick provided I am hooked!!!! The animals coming in to my camp was unforgettable and seeing my dogs swim in the ponds, those are memories I’ll never forget! Thank you Rick for having such a beautiful, well maintained and kept up property! Me and my family will be back!!!!

As always, we had the best time. We love Rick and his animals!

Weekend Trip to Barefoot Gee's

My family and I would absolutely recommend this place! The host was over-the-top accommodating and offered tons of activities for the kids. The campsites were well laid out with lots of trees, there was so much space for the kids to safely explore and for the dogs to roam. We did pay for the electricity option, and the ropes course for the kids. The outhouse was very clean.

Such a great spot so close to Dallas! Nice spread out campsites, plenty of space to explore and search for the horses. Our daughters loved the horses and especially Willie the mule - they are all friendly and we had no worries about safety when around the horses/mules/donkeys. Rick is super nice and helpful and made us feel welcome and comfortable on his land. Would love to come back!

Great little quick getaway of solitude from the large crowds of a state park and having an area all to ourselves. The tree frogs were an added touch to the ambiance.
