3 nights at Coyote Creek Farm

My time at the farm was very special. I came as a female solo tent camper who has never been to Waco, and I couldn't have picked a better place to stay. The farm itself is so beautiful. I felt so much peace on Regena's land, and I also felt very safe the whole time. It is a private getaway, but super close to anything you'd want to do. Close enough to run back to the campsite in the middle of the day easily if I had forgotten something. Regena as a host goes way above and beyond to make you comfortable and anticipated any needs I may had. She offered alternative accommodations when a heavy rainfall came through, and was very easy to get ahold of if I ever needed anything. She gave awesome recommendations for places to check out in Waco, one of them being one of the coolest coffee shops I've been to (you'll have to stay here and ask her to find out what it is :) Overall, I miss it there already and I hope to come back soon! Thanks for the southern hospitality Regena!

Regina had a wonderful property! She went over and beyond as far as hosting was concerned. The place was beautiful and we will be back! She kept the toilet and trash cleaned constantly. 5 stars for sure!!

We went as a large group and Regina was an amazing host! We can't control the weather, but even with rain everything was great! And once the sunshine appeared it was even more amazing! She provided dry wood that we used and she kept the compost toilet and trash removed constantly! We will be going out to see her again!! Highly recommend this stay on your next trip out to Waco!

Weekend Trip to Alexander Creek RV and Campground

Alexander Creek RV park is a quiet place to stay. The roaming cattle were a refreshing taste of country living. There is a nicely done club house with clean bathrooms and showers. Currently there is not a fire pit or grill at each site but Wendy was quickly accommodating with bringing a grill over for my use. I would stay here again if my travels bring me back this way.

1 night at Waco Creekside Resort

We had a great time camping at Regina's farm, it was peaceful & Regina was very sweet, friendly & accomodating. There was a chance of high wind & storm & she offered for us to leave our Travel trailer & come back for it if we needed to, luckily there was no need, we only got a little shower & all was fine, but it was super sweet of her to offer. She came to our site several times to remove trash & replace trash bag from the bin on our site & checked the compost toilet to clean it too, she even made several trips to take some of us to tour her property in her golf cart at different times, super friendly, I would definitely be back, thanks for hosting us Regina, and thank you for the sweet thank you note you left early in the morning in our truck, to find before we left at 7:30am, God bless you!

Nice RV park in the early stages of development. As the landscaping evolves there will be more shade and windbreak. Full store and propane filling on site.

Great place to knock off the winter rust. Hosts super friendly. Trails are marked well. They range from pastures to wooded drainage. They said it was the most people they’ve had at one time, saw one group of kids and a few people on horseback (remember to be respectful to the horses. Some are on a trail for the first time) I hiked in but it looks like most sites are drive in. Bring fishing pole.

3 nights at Alexander Creek RV and Campground

We absolutely loved this place! Regena was extremely kind and accommodating. The place was very well kept and the entrance was easy to spot in the nighttime. If you don’t see it, you didn’t go far enough lol. Do expect some donkey noises from time to time but you are with nature!

This campsite was great amongst the trees. Loved the roaming livestock farm a neighboring ranch, making even more fun. Wendy greeted us just as we had just pulled into the spot making sure all was okay. Close to Glen Rose and Hico, both places we visited for golf and friends. Nice to come back to a quiet spot.

Weekend Trip to Bee Mountain River Resort

Was an absolute joy. If you're not in an RV, I highly recommend staying here instead of Dinosaur Valley State Park. It's way more remote and the views are stunning. A beautiful property with so many trails to explore. It was so nice how quiet it was.

Our stay at bee mountain resort was amazing!! The camping area are very spacious, gives you PLENTY of room if 3 or more tents are being put up. We were right off the bank shore making it easy to put kayaks into the water. Finally the bathroom are clean and kept up. Lots of trails to hike as well. Melanie and Tony are very helpful and keep EVERYONE update when bathroom are being traded out or just checking if campers need anything, definitely recommend and will be coming back to here

3 nights at Bee Mountain River Resort

Had an amazing time. Crew taking care of restrooms and running the wood/ice requests were timely and accepted Zelle at the reception area at the front of the property. Kayak rentals were fun and they double as a paddle board.

Weekend Trip to Bee Mountain River Resort

The host made sure I had everything I needed to have a successful trip. The location couldn’t have been better. It was nice being so close to dinosaur valley and fossil rim. I didn’t want to be in an RV environment, so the primitive camp site was perfect for me.

We had a magnificent time at Bee Mountain. Tony and Melanie were fantastic hosts and we cannot wait to go back. They made check in a breeze, they were super friendly, answered every question we had, and were a joy to sit and chat with. The property is simply stunning! I could go on and on and on about it, but just do yourself a favor and go out there for a stay!! It’s truly a gem and I am so thankful that there are private property owners that share their little slices of heaven with those of us who would rather be out in nature than stuck in the concrete jungles. The Dusty Nickel

Learn more about this land: Step away from the hustle and bustle of city life back to a quiet ranch setting. Set on a beautiful working cattle ranch surrounded by hills, this camping area gives you the peace and serenity you are looking for. Spend the days exploring the ranch, playing in the seasonal creek, fishing in the stock tank, or feeding the wild cows. TurtleOaks Family Campground

You will have the whole of a 10-acre property with incredibly dark skies, perfect quiet, peaceful seclusion, and rugged hill country beauty. You will be far enough from any major urban center to see the Milky Way and far enough from any highway to hear only the sound of the wind blowing in the meadow grass. There is a level caliche pad for travel trailers and easy access for rigs of any size - dry camping only at this time. A beautiful oak grove has been cleared and mulched with plenty of space for tents and a wonderful picnic table for camper use. This campsite is the first in our campground, so guests will have private access to the entire ridgeline & hiking trails cut through the 7.3 acers into the creek bed below. SAFTEY NOTES: The terrain is rocky and can be quite steep in places with some drop offs. Not recommended for small children or pets that are not well trained. We also share the land with lots of wildlife! Please be aware at all times and keep an eye out for snakes & spiders! You may also hear wild boars in the creek bed at night. SITE AMENITES `This site includes a 10x14, Kodiak' canvas tent that will be completely set up with the essentials including Water & Electric, bed & linens & outdoor chairs. INSIDE ` Cozy up on a queen size mattress complete with all the necessary bedding (pillows, sheets &comforter). We like to keep it super cozy but simple inside to make sure there is plenty of space for guest's personal things. You barely have enough room to get out your door & walk around; much less some privacy! Well, not our posh park in Hico, TX. We provide 8 spots with 11 feet of grassy area between each RV. Plenty of space to park on the gravel next to your RV. Do you have an extra vehicle? Well, we have parking just a short walk at the end of the driveway. Our ranch together with Tiny Town at GSD Ranch (tiny home and cabin vacation rentals) is a total of 20 acres! Bring your Horse! We also have a horse motel and horse turnout areas. Bring your horse to stay close by and feel free to ride him and explore the 20 acres of ranch life! Next door at Tiny Town at GSD Ranch we have a large community fire pit, dumpster for your garbage and fun animals to visit (sheep, donkey, cows…and of course our German Shepherd Dogs (Ask?--litters often available!). Access is off County Road 932, with a private code. Fires are available during ideal conditions (depending on wind, rain, and burn bans) at the group fire area at the Wild Wolf Wading Pond.
