Very peaceful and the perfect escape I needed to get away from the city. Would definitely be back again.

The site we had was spacious and the view was amazing! The site felt remote and deep in nature and the site is easily accessible.The host was very accommodating and even let us borrow his solo stove so we could have a fire in windy conditions. Picnic table, portapotty, and trash can were also available on site for convenience.

William was so welcoming and he is a clear and helpful communicator. The views were beautiful and the site was private. Thank you William!

2 nights at Whispering Oak Ranch

Great little spot not far from the highway and Johnson City. It was nice to be so close to town to grab supplies and/or pop into a restaurant.

3 nights at 3 Dry Wells Ranch

It was a quiet and nice campsite. We enjoyed our stay!

Site was easy to find with provided instructions. Quiet area with many animals seen on the drive in. Site was very private. Didn't see another person the entire trip. Creek near the site was running and fun for the kids to hike around. Short drive from Blanco.

This place is awesome! Great rolling hills quiet and dispersed sites and easy access. I wish I had gotten to spend more time here. Will definitely be returning.

This spot was great! Slow trail crawl to an isolated canvas tent that sits on a platform. Plenty of zipper ventilation screens. I have one dog im sure stayed up all night starting out one in fascination. We fit two four people with air mattresses and two dogs with dog beds and extra stuff in that tent just fine. So glad to bot have to put up our tent. Hast two chairs good breeze and great views. Very clean site with not dead brush or tree limbs piled up. Make sure to bring a honey pot (5 gallon bucket, trash bags with toilet lid) and the extras. Got in after dark but spot was easy to find with the signs posted. We were able to see the lunar eclipse and great views of the sky. We notified the host we were coming in late and he was super accommodating and responsive. Definitely recommend. Will be back for sure.

A peaceful retreat with wonderful views and an amazing host! The quiet surroundings made for a relaxing stay, and the beautiful scenery was the perfect backdrop. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a serene getaway.

We had a great time! Secluded site where we could play card games, relax, spend time together, wriggle our feet in the creek and explore the trails. My kids (15, 8, 6) enjoyed themselves, went on lots of ‘adventures’, played hide and seek, and got a kick out of the rooster “alarm clock”. We (grown ups) got a chance to enjoy the peace, quiet, night sky, sunrise and sunsets too. Overall a great trip even though the weather didn’t cooperate (high winds) and we had to cut our trip a tiny bit short. We’d love to come back and explore Blanco’s town square and the surrounding area a bit too (parks, breweries, shopping). Bill is a great host, helpful, attentive and allows guests to do their own thing while wandering around his piece of paradise. He’s a great steward to his land, and it shows. The mule ride/tour is not to be missed.

We are conveniently located in Blanco, Texas less that 50 miles from either San Antonio or Austin and in the heart of the Texas wine country. Our campsites are next to a spring feed tributary creek which flows year around feeding into the Blanco River just a few miles away or hillside with amazing views of the river valley. You will enjoy the babbling creek, miles of hiking and biking trails, cooling off in the creek, scenic hilltop views, solitude, bold sunrises and sunsets, and a brilliant night sky. We have numerous old growth hardwood trees including Live Oaks, Spanish oaks, Elm, Escarpment Cherry, Black walnut, and Ashe Juniper (cedar) one of which has the largest circumference in Texas. We have a wide selection of native and migratory wildlife that calls this place home including white tail deer, wild turkeys, foxes, bobcats, jack rabbits, road runners, seasonal songbirds and butterflies. We are just minutes away from Blanco State Park and a short drive to Pedernales Falls or Guadalupe River State Park.

Best View In Leander

This place is all about the view. You're on top of a hill looking south so you get awesome sunrises and sunsets! It's so quiet out here and there is pretty much always a breeze, so even in summer it's nice. You have full run of the 6 acres on the North side of the road (the hill). There is another 16 acres on the South side of the road that is open during business hours. Down a 1/4 mile driveway is a large shop where we run our business and build cabins & tiny homes. We can give you a tour and fill any water containers you have. At the bottom of the property is a creek bed. Lots of hiking options and opportunities to see road runners, jack rabbits and deer. Occasionally there is a fox.

Cinco de Mayo Event (May 3rd-5th, 2024) Our ranch was originally part of the enchanted Rock property owned by Mr Moss. It is currently a 6th generation ranch. Original ranch was 1767 acres. The highest elevation is 1600'. You can locate us on Google Earth by searching for Dooley Wahl Rd Llano, Texas. We have secluded camping available. Primitive tent camping, or if you want to go glamping you can bring an RV with a generator and be even more secluded but still have the comfortable amenities of an RV. IF YOU DON'T HAVE AN RV...no worries! Contact outdoorsy.com. you can rent an RV. They will deliver it, set it up and pick it up. Remember to ask for a generator. You don't have to bring wood. Ten-plus acres with trails and backing up to a working farm. Easy access to the Texas Wine Trail, with lots of great restaurants in Johnson City. Only 5 miles from Pedernales State Park (water seen in photos), enjoy undisturbed, beautiful hill country scenery and amazing sunsets. It's only a five-minute drive to Johnson City and about a 30-minute to Fredericksburg. Drive right up to your campsite—lots of live oak trees to choose from for shade.
