Was an absolute joy. If you're not in an RV, I highly recommend staying here instead of Dinosaur Valley State Park. It's way more remote and the views are stunning. A beautiful property with so many trails to explore. It was so nice how quiet it was.

We stayed the weekend for a getaway from life and work. Such a calm and relaxing location. It was nice to lay in the hammock and watch the animals walk around. We enjoyed walks around the property with small trails to walk through. One of our best moments was sitting by the lake at night to star gaze, it was such a beautiful view of all the visible stars. Our 4 legged furry daughter really enjoyed laying on the top floor balcony of the dollhouse to enjoy the entire view. We had such an amazing weekend. Thank you Amy for being such an accommodating host. We will definitely 1000% be back!

The experience was perfect and exactly what we were looking for. Amy was very accommodating and great with our children in our group. This camp has a wonderful pavilion with lots of seating and activities for the children also. We loved the animals, the quiet, and the area to walk and enjoy. The host made sure I had everything I needed to have a successful trip. The location couldn’t have been better. It was nice being so close to dinosaur valley and fossil rim. I didn’t want to be in an RV environment, so the primitive camp site was perfect for me.

5 nights at Creekside Brazos Rock Camp & Kayak

I had a wonderful time RV camping on Sunshine's land and found it hard to leave the peace and beauty of her place. If I could I would give her 6 stars for being so gracious, responsive, and generously accommodating. For example, she allowed me to settle in the most scenic campsite next to the creek while I had reserved a less scenic one closer to the road. She gave me great river intel and additional time to enjoy kayaking on the Brazos. The campground and restroom are clean and well maintained. The experience was exceptional! The location is superb given you are out in the country yet close to the town of Mineral Wells (8 miles) and the Lake Mineral Wells State Park, both of which I enjoyed visiting! However, It is the peace of the place I relished most. Thank you again, Sunshine!

Beautiful land! Great check in experience, LOVED all the animals, tent spots were nice, goat cave and sunset peak was a lovely way to end the day!

Our family came to the ranch for a quick getaway over the kids’ spring break and had the best time. The accommodations were terrific - super clean, all that we needed was provided, even some extra board games for the kids to play. The town of Hico was close and super charming. Kara, our host and her husband even met us one evening so that the kids could feed the animals and she was extremely helpful and responsive throughout our entire stay. Highly recommend!

1 night at Myers Corner on the Brazos River

Stayed at one of the lovely lodging locations by the Brazos river! Good water pressure and hot water. Fridge, AC/heat, hotplate, TV, indoor flush toilet, indoor shower, comfortable bed. Coffee maker present but did not use. Location is managed but owner is nearby. Both people were very accommodating and communication was very good. Price was comparable to motels, but privacy surpassed all!! We were returning from an east-west coast car-camping/nomad road trip. We planned to stay with a friend but they got sick and we needed to find last minute alternative lodging before leaving Texas. We were ahead of the storms coming from the west and south (March 11-16 2025). This site was not only available last minute for us but allowed a one night stay. We booked a few hours away and drove to this lovely location. I only wish I could have booked longer but definitely will save this as a favorite location to return. <3 Word to the wise for all: ALWAYS contact HipCamp hosts prior to booking even if it is an Instant Book. Just like with the other types of “hosted stays” AirBnB, Vrbo, HarvestHosts —Technology is cool but can be flawed. I have stayed at two HipCamps and plan to host my own. Both times the app fell short on some info, but not enough to spoil the experience. Just communicate with the hosts and all will work out!

Weekend Trip to Sandy Bottoms River Company

The exceptional customer service absolutely made this trip for me. I had tried to book a stay with them back in November for it to be canceled due to the rain/ mud on the property. I decided to rebook again this past weekend and Sandy Bottoms River Co offered a free upgrade for the inconvenience on the cancellation form November. I met John at the RV site, which was right on the Brazos with a beautiful 3-Tiered Deck, hammock, fire pit, and gas grill. John was so sweet making sure I had everything I needed. I will definitely be booking with them again!

Easy Like a Sunday Morning is nestled just outside the city limits of Granbury, Texas (approximately 3 miles from Granbury Historic square) @ a private residence just outside the city limits. New laundry facility down the road, dump station @ Thorp Springs RV park (20 dollars), Davids Grocery store and Dollar General, all only .03 miles away. This is not really a vacation destination but more a safe place to stay coming to town to explore all Granbury has to offer or a place to catch your breathe while traveling on the road. Friends have enjoyed escaping here for years. I decided to share the zen. It's a bit rough around the edges but if the new venture succeeds it will only get better each time you visit.
