A peaceful campsite in the country. Our campsite is on a private 1 acre section near our residence. You can enjoy watching the wildlife or stargazing at night. On site, you will have a cozy bed, hammock swings, outdoor shower, fire pit with grill, and an outhouse. Access to the nearby creek is just minutes away.
The Magnolia is a great place to escape from the city. Some of the wildlife you may see or hear are cows, squirrels, rabbits, owls, coyotes and our free range chickens. We do ask that you give us a heads up if you plan to brings dogs so we can keep them in their coop for the day.
Enjoy the stars from the hammock swings or lay a blanket out in the grass. We also allow tent camping for extra people beyond our 2 person limit for the building itself.

I stayed at site 10. Very secluded and surrounded by dense forest. You won’t see anyone until you leave the campsite. Julie gave me a map of the ranch when I checked in that has trail maps on it as well. The trails are marked with painted lids. They can be a bit confusing at times but I suspect that will improve with time. I did not use the amenities so I cannot comment on those. Outhouse is right next to the camping area entrance by site 15. From what I could tell the campsites had some wood already there and you are allowed to use any fallen limbs as firewood. Enjoy!

We loved our stay at 5D ranch! Julie is laid back and helpful when you need her. The campsites are secluded and private. We were near the outhouse on this trip which was a unique experience. And the campsite dog, Abba, hung out with our group the entire weekend and ensured no wild animals approached our site. Wonderful time as always, and we will be back!

My seven year old made friends with the owners white dog and gave him a huge hug. We went canoeing on the lake but left early because of the rain. We did have a wonderful camp fire and made s'mores the first night. Before we left my little one said this was the best camping trip ever and the best day in his life. This is not our first camping trip, but this place is his favorite place to go camping.

Julie‘s ranch was a truly restful haven for us. We actually came to watch the blues Festival in Navasota, but ended up just hanging out at the ranch listening to the coyotes and owls and relaxing by a fire. Communication was really good, and Julie met us at the check-in with a friendly smile and gracious hospitality. We did end up having a visit from their ranch dog, which was a ton of fun! I can highly recommend a visit here.

I love campsite 11 and the trails. They’re so easy to walk we were literally barefoot most of the way. It was a rejuvenating outdoor experience and we’ll definitely be back.

Our family loved the tent camping at 5D ranch. We are planning another trip again. We enjoyed the fishing pond. The site provided life jackets and small boats with paddles. Plenty of space to get away and enjoy the weekend together.

We found site 19 to be large enough to move a 33’ RV around and secluded enough to enjoy our outdoor stay. The hosts were great and the site was clean and well maintained. We felt welcomed and enjoyed our stay. The trail system is well marked and offers nature at its intended dose. This truly is a relaxing experience. We appreciate the hospitality.
