The river cuts through the middle of the place and is surrounded by four hills that each have their unique characteristics ranging from flat oak-covered to rocky steep ridges. I guarantee you will find beauty all around. We do have a couple of fun areas to try your 4-wheel drive out. Please dont make your own....stay on trails. There are plenty of places to swim. When the Ladder is reserved, you may not swim there. Please be respectful. We have 1.5 miles of both sides of the river so plenty of places to swim. It varies a lot in depth and width over the ranch. Weekend Trip to Seco Ridge Campgrounds

This was mine and my husband’s second time visiting the Seco Ridge Campgrounds. This year we stayed in the Bunkhaus. Our best friend and my cousin also joined us for the adventure. The Bunkhaus is nothing short of incredible. It’s more of a tiny home with an awesome patio area with fun lighting, games, and luxury lounging. A HUGE storm came in while we were there and the Haus had no leaks, nothing like that- it is a true experience. The interior is gorgeous with drywall and recess lighting. The bed was incredibly comfy. Owners Woody and Elaine were so very accommodating and kind. They got us fresh firewood and even fresh eggs from the ground’s chickens! In the Haus, there’s a microwave and large mini fridge for snacks and the grounds have a communal fire pit, swings, outdoor kitchen, running water, hot showers and toilets- I have to wear orthodics temporarily which makes it difficult for me to walk and Woody and Elaine set up a chemical toilet right outside the door of the Haus for me. INCREDIBLY accommodating. The Seco Ridge campground itself is the only place I have ever seen the Milky Way with the naked eye. I do astronomy photography and I was able to take some incredible photos. My family and I sang karaoke outside up to quiet hours time at 11, and had an overall BLAST! The Haus is air conditioned, heated, and has just the quaintest and most fun ambiance. It is a pleasure every year and we can’t wait to come back again soon! Although my kids and I were only there for one evening and one day, we had an excellent experience. The hosts were extremely friendly and accommodating, even though our schedule for arrival changed quite a bit, and we arrived late. The cabin was clean and well stacked with the usual supplies. We would definitely returned.

What a great setup! We stayed at Bunkhaus, was super comfortable. Vicinity to Garner state park is perfect for hiking. Brought the whole family, 3 boys and dog and everyone had a good time. Highly recommend and we will be back!

Weekend Trip to Hill Terrace

I visit Junction to see local friends and paddle the S Llano at least twice a year. My second visit to this property. Stayed in Cabin 1 this time since it was just me. Simple and comfy. It was very relaxing to watch the rain from the front porch. The larger cabin is even better if you have more people. The river access is superb if you enjoy kayaking. Was there for the Up and Back Race this year and it was the perfect place to paddle up to first crossing to watch the first few racers from there and then back at the cabin later in the afternoon. Lots of hummingbirds and butterflies too! Will be back.

Weekend Trip to Laf ranch

This place was great. It’s very secluded so get ready to get away. Bring most everything you need, you get a/c in the cabins, a fridge, stove, and out house. There are some basic cookware items but not a ton. The sky is impeccable at night, everything is quiet, and the fire wood is abundant. No fish which kinda stinks but the water is nice on a hot day. We only tried the water near our green cabin to swim with the dogs and it was low it seemed. Great place with dogs as they can be off leash. There are hogs around the area so be mindful at night. 7/10 for sure if you are looking to unplug.

What a fantastic place! For our family, it was just like visiting grandma’s house. Beautiful scenery, excellent river access, comfortable beds, and all the amenities you would want to enjoy time on the river. Cabin 1 was my favorite. The front porch during the rainstorm was just what my soul needed. We highly recommend this place.

We loved cabin 3 & cabin 1. My wife said it reminded her of her grandmother's house with all the quilts and old furniture, and comfortable beds in all of the rooms. The river access is nice to get into the water with tubes and the on-site kayaks were a bonus for us. The hosts are very responsive and have a neighbor who will come right over when you call for any issues. When we stayed the water level was nice and we were able to go down the river. I would say we had a five-star stay

This is a great place close to the riverbank. Nice walkway down as well as kayaks on site to use. Cabins are about 100 years old but have some updates that makes it nice to stay in. The host was great very helpful and quick to respondon, also has a guy that is next door if anything pops up. Beds were comfy and the patios are very nice to sit on. Would recommend to stay for a nice river trip.

My family and I just spent four days at Los Rios Campground, and we absolutely loved it. From the moment we arrived, it felt like the perfect place to unplug and enjoy some quiet time in nature. The grounds were clean, well-maintained, and peaceful. We stayed in one of Cabin 1 that sleeps five, and it was the perfect mix of rustic and comfortable. It had everything we needed and gave us a cool place to relax after long days outside on the river.

The host is very helpful and extremely nice. The property is beautiful and it's really easy to take kayaks out or put them in here. Perfect location on the river to stop and have lunch before continuing down to the state park. I love this river.

Quiet, peaceful, and surrounded by the splendor of Texas Hill Country. My kids particularly loved the volleyball and tetherball. We also loved the mini-pool provided right in front of our cabin. Very clean facilities, and the owners couldn't be nicer. Highly recommend!

We love everything about this campground. Hosts were amazing and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect; very good people. Grounds and cabins are well kept. We even opted to stay a day in our little pool right out our cabin door instead of the Frio, it’s that peaceful! Definitely recommend to anyone!

“Fritz’s land is such a wonderful experience. Just the drive to the cabin gave us a surreal overlanding feel with fun river crossings—perfect even for beginners. The kids loved every bit of the trip. While we chose the cabin for access to hot water and power, we all ended up tent camping and had an awesome time. The land, the people, and the animals were all amazing. We can’t wait to visit again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and memorable getaway.
