Get Away Cabin @ Mandala Hills

2 sites · Lodging5 acres · Austin, TX
This sacred land is an oasis for healing in nature. It is undeveloped and solely used for private stays and small events/ ceremonies. You will feel a wave of comfort the moment you arrive.Secluded and private, find yourself connecting to the land with your friends, family, or yourself, here at Mandala Hills. Surrounded by oaks and cedar trees, you can relax in nature. The area has incredible sunrises and sunsets, so close to downtown but feels like you're far away in the country. There may be wellness classes being held further down the property. You are more than welcome to attend. Hiking, swimming, and kayaking are within a 20-minute drive! These destinations include Barton Springs, Lady Bird Lake, and Wildflower Centerlots.  Art and food are close as well when venturing into Austin which is also only 20 minutes from our oasis. Other cities are not too much further with Johnson City, Fredericksburg, San Marcos, and Dripping springs being 45 minutes or less of a drive.  A bit about us.  We are a family of 4 who lives on the land next door. This is sacred Native land where you can feel the healing energy. You may even find an arrowhead. The host is here if you need them, but you are able to enjoy your solitude. Respect the land and the cabin, they are very special. This is not a party place, rather a place to just BE.

Casita In The Hills

10 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents14 acres · Pipe Creek, TX
As a young girl, I read "Little House in the Big Woods" by Laura Ingalls Wilder. That book opened my eyes to a different way of living. From that moment on, I dreamed of one day living in big woods somewhere. As an adult, some of those dreams are coming true! We have Casita in the hills in Hill Country Texas! We are a small, beginner homestead and we'd love to share this journey with YOU! Donkeys and deer roam most of the property. We also are raising chickens, ducks, rabbits, a few pet goats and bees. We have camping spots, (2) rv electric hook ups and a small cabin to sleep in. Our property is on 14 acres. We have open pastures and forested areas. Whether you are seeking to escape the city hustle and bustle, or want a small taste of the homestead life, this is a great place to be! We are located about 35 minutes from San Antonio, 25 minutes from Boerne and 15 minutes from the Cowboy Capital of the World, Bandera, TX! We do have a visible neighboring property. Therefore there is the occasional barking, lights, and music that can be heard/seen. We hope you choose to stay here and enjoy your stay!

We are Rhonda and Carl Rubadue. We are happy, relaxed transplants to the Hill Country of Texas from the Intermountain West. Carl misses his 4 different seasons and appreciates thatRhonda helps him get his "winter fix" with a ski trip every year! After working behind a desk for decades as a Human Resources professional, Rhonda has embraced and adores our place here and is thrilled to share it with everyone! While Carl worked behind the scenes in many areas of the hospitality industry and obtained a Certified Executive Chef designation, he now looks forward to playing in the kitchen for just a few family and friends. Most of all Carl enjoys meeting our guests coupled with the time he gets to spend with Rhonda! From our first tour of this unique property, Walnut Canyon Cabins, we continue to be amazed at how lucky we were to find this stunning place and with everyone who walks through our doors! We have 2 great boys, 2 incredible daughters-in-law, and two wonderful grandchildren.
