I am not one with words, but if you read one review, read this one. We arrived and Rick was full of stories and information about the property. He took us to our site (4 wheel drive is a MUST!) which was amazing. He allowed us to rearrange the picnic table and fire ring to our liking. The next morning Rick set our eggs out that we purchased through him at 6am. We went fishing and caught four 2-2.8 pounders. It was amazing! That sunset I took the photography class presented by Rick. It was wonderful. Got a lot of information and he took me to some pretty spots I had not seen before. That evening it rained and stormed. Our tent collapsed and our gear was soaked. This was my first time camping, and because the amazing time Rick provided I am hooked!!!! The animals coming in to my camp was unforgettable and seeing my dogs swim in the ponds, those are memories I’ll never forget! Thank you Rick for having such a beautiful, well maintained and kept up property! Me and my family will be back!!!!

2 nights at The PARK at Brushy Creek

We just took a camping trip at the Oak View tent at The Park, bushy creek during our daughters spring break. Unfortunately it was super windy the entire time we were there, but we still had a blast. The tent is super well kept, decore is great and air mattresses were great. The location is perfect in that it is far enough to get a good drive going from Dallas, but still within 10 minutes of a store. We definitely plan on going back in the future!

Such a great spot so close to Dallas! Nice spread out campsites, plenty of space to explore and search for the horses. Our daughters loved the horses and especially Willie the mule - they are all friendly and we had no worries about safety when around the horses/mules/donkeys. Rick is super nice and helpful and made us feel welcome and comfortable on his land. Would love to come back!

Weekend Trip to Rockin Bar B Ranch

We had a blast at Bobbi's cabin - it was extremely peaceful & secluded with lots of land to explore. I did yoga on the deck, read a good book & hiked the acreage while my partner spent a full two days fishing the pond. Even our small dog had the time of his life living it up like a wild little animal. Looking forward to trying the goose egg we were giving. Thanks again for the hospitality & relaxing getaway!!

1 night at The PARK at Brushy Creek

We had a fantastic experience!! Beautiful land, adorable animals and tent. We had a great time walking down to the creek, and feeding the pigs!! The goats were so fun to see. The tent was very clean and had all of the amenities pictured (even the S'mores bucket!!). I will absolutely be coming back here to stay. Thank you for everything!

Perhaps it was because I was the only one adventurous (read as dumb) enough to go camping in winter, but I had this entire property to myself and it was nice! Took a stroll down the creek, fed some pigs and goats, listened to the coyotes at night (it’s the countryside.) Steffenie was nice, and had things available that I wasn’t expecting, like some fire pits and extra wood to burn, a nice loft couch to chill on, and even a port-a-potty, should emergency arise or one come unprepared (I was prepared, but nice to know about backups). The property was nice and clean, and nothing bothered me at all.

Overall a good spot not too far from Dallas. While there are other sites nearby, and there is some road noise, the other sites are mostly further away, and broken by trees, and the noise isn’t bad at all. I would recommend this spot if you have kids - mine loved the horses, mules, and donkeys, and the chance to explore on their own!

I've visited this spot several times now, and I still absolutely love it! The peaceful atmosphere, beautiful surroundings, and the company of friendly horses and donkeys make it a special place to unwind. The animals are a highlight for me—if you're into it, they’re always around to greet you, but if you'd rather have some space, just give them a little room and they’ll happily wander off on their own. It’s the perfect balance of nature and tranquility.

The tent and amenities were beautiful!! Stephanie provided extra cooking utensils, complementary s'mores and firewood. The pigs and goats were friendly and we were given permission to feed them as well. There was plenty of land to explore which the dogs loved! It all made for a really relaxing tech free weekend. Would definitely come back!

My daughter and I had an great stay and great experience. Rick was very friendly, and the horses were too! My daughter was thrilled to have them so close and personal. Next time we will bring our fishing poles!

We're situated just outside Trenton on 55 acres of gently sloping terrain featuring a wide creek and expansive grounds beyond the Big Oak, perfect for exploration. Enjoy stunning sunsets, a clear view of the night sky, the tranquil sounds of the creek, and occasional visits from deer, all contributing to a peaceful retreat. Our property is evolving as we create manicured groves and open pastures for both our farm animals and guests. During rainy spells, expect some mud and occasional sightings of heavy equipment or tractors. Our livestock rotate between our two properties, so they may not always be here at The PARK at Brushy Creek. If you don't see them here, you're welcome to visit our other property across the road with the big green gate. Currently, there is no electricity or Wi-Fi on the property. Lighting is provided by solar power or batteries. Tent sites have access to a water spigot, and there's a Port-o-let nearby. This is rural country living; our neighbors' livestock and dogs may make sounds like bleating, barking, oinking, mooing, neighing, squealing, whinnying, braying, or whining at any time of day or night. We are conveniently located one hour north of Dallas Fort Worth, just 30 minutes from McKinney, Sherman, or Greenville, and within 10 miles of Leonard, Whitewright, and Bonham. Trenton is only five miles away. Several lakes are nearby including Lake Bonham, Lake Texoma, and the new Bois' d Arc Lake. Some Giant evergreens but most are near one of the 200 year old Pecan trees. Creeks meander through the woods and all meet on the South side of the property. 9 Horses, 20 donkeys and the friendliest mule ever! They Dot the property. Also deer, recoon, squirrel and an occasional armadillo may visit. A Great stocked pond and 3 other ponds make for beautiful fishing and photos etc.
