We could have gotten away with not bringing a thing. A quaint treehouse, overlooking a pond, nature all around, two more ponds a short stroll away. Our favorite part, the seclusion. An escape from the busyness and chaos of the world. Being able to cook dinner by the fire, hear the bullfrogs croaking and take a soak in the outdoor tub overlooking the evening. This is a small 6 acre Homestead in Kingsbury TX. Renovating and giving new life to vintage RVS is a passion of mine. We recently came across the RV used in the film Into the Wild. The RV was the home to Rubber Tramps Jan and Rainey who met up with Alexander Supertramp played by Emile Hirsch. When we took the RV into our possession it was in terrible disrepair. The mural was faded from years of sun and the interior had been destroyed by years of decay. At the time of the film release this RV was 23 years old. Today it is 38 years old. We ask that you respect its vintage age when staying in the RV. If you are looking for fancy this isn't it. This RV spot offers the perfect blend of proximity to Austin's vibrant attractions and the comfort of a cozy neighborhood setting. Situated on the side of my house, the 80-foot long spot provides ample space for your RV adventures. The entire lot is securely fenced in, granting guests exclusive access to amenities such as the pool, hot tub, and yard. Enjoy privacy with no neighbors in the back and an 8-foot tall side fence where your RV will be parked. While my own RV won't be onsite during your stay, parking towards the back allows for privacy and the extension of awnings. Backing in is recommended, and though my 33-foot long RV fits comfortably, larger rigs may find maneuvering a bit challenging due to the angle from the street through the front gate. There's plenty of room to tandem park a towed vehicle in front of your RV, and both 50amp and 30amp electric hookups are conveniently located on the back side of my house. Water is also accessible from the rear. While live sewer hookup isn't available, I offer convenient dumping options when the black tank is full. Nestled in a charming, gentrifying neighborhood, expect the pleasant hum of city sounds (not overly loud) and glimpses of starlit skies. During your stay, I'll be residing in the house with my sociable dog, Toby. We'll be respectful of your privacy but available for any assistance you may need. Toby loves company, including other dogs, and has even been around cats with proper introductions. Feel free to reach out with any questions or to arrange a booking!

Myself and my two young daughters were warmly welcomed by Shellie’s most thoughtful design of her secret hideout amongst the oaks. It was a quick drive from a busy day in Austin where the nature and quiet we’re so needed. Shellie has thought of everything for this amazing getaway. We could have gotten away with not bringing a thing. A quaint treehouse, overlooking a pond, nature all around, two more ponds a short stroll away. Our favorite part, the seclusion. An escape from the busyness and chaos of the world. Being able to cook dinner by the fire, hear the bullfrogs croaking and take a soak in the outdoor tub overlooking the evening. Do yourself a favor and invite the day with a grateful heart while showering in the open air shower. Sun rising, view of robins and chickadees while appreciating the whisper of the oaks all around.
