The screened has a dining table with chairs, and also stores some patio chairs to use on the property. They are really great to sit on the dock! There is also a charcoal grill and a crab trap for you to use. (You need a fishing license and bait. Chicken bones works great!) Fishing is great here... the canals have been dredged and folks are catching right of the back of their lots. Community fishing area is on the end of both Van Sant and Mabry, Mabry has a boat ramp. These you cast right off a drop to the intracoastal. Beach Access via community gate at end of street. Combination for those will be shared in arrival instructions. Spot is a residential lot... It is 60 x 130. Canal City is a quiet residential area. The back side fronts on the water. You will probably see more seagulls and purple martins than people. We have weekly discounts. Message me and I can go over them because the Hipcamp platform makes them difficult. It works out to approximately 7 nights for the price of 5. Be prepared: Bolivar has mosquitoes. This is the coast. If it has rained they can be really bad. The county sprays on a regular rotation but it can be bad. They tend to swarm when you pull in. Spray helps. We also send recommendations for what sprays work best for us in the arrival instructions. We do not offer refunds for mosquitoes. We have never found them unmanageable, and the screen porch keeps them almost entirely away. We are east of Rollover Pass. Easiest to arrive through Winnie and south on 124. Unless you are coming from Galveston or southeast Houston it is probably shorter. The ferry is fun (dolphins and such) but the waits can be long. Also: Do not bring loose propane tanks or gasoline cans on the ferry, they will send you away. Quiet campground. Secure. Bath house was very clean and well appointed. Located directly across from Livingston State Park, perfect for day access.

Covered space for your RV with plenty of room for the slides. We have an outdoor shower to rinse the sand away after a day at the beach, a picnic table for outdoor meals and chairs to relax in. We just added a new fire pit area in the backyard.

We had a great time here. Cherise was really hospitable and greeted us upon our arrival and showed us around. In the morning we had scheduled for the complimentary animal feeding and the experience was awesome. Cherise met us at the barn as scheduled at 9 AM sharp and provided us with a good amount of treats for all the farm animals. It was really nice to be able to give the donkeys, goats, Horse, horses, miniature cow, and chickens their morning breakfast. Cherise even allowed my two siblings a ride on one of the horses which we thought was really nice and a great experience for the kids. Oh, and she has a really beautiful turkey and peacocks on site as well. Overall, we had a fun time here and would definitely love to come back to check out the glamping tent.

Our experience at the place was spectacular. It should be noted that there "THERE ARE BATHROOMS", THERE ARE also SHOWERS. The attention was spectacular. The place is very clean. I just want to emphasize that the entrance is until 7pm. So if you plan to go camping you must arrive before 7pm. I recommend this place 100%

Easy check-in, good price, quiet, and level concrete pads. No luck seeing the northern lights but could see the stars well. Just down the street from the main driving entry to Crystal Beach / the Zoo and the gas station that sells driving permits for the beach.

Me and my two friends had a blast at this site. Awesome level ground for pitching a tent. Water for cleaning dishes and what not. Electric electricity if you need it. We attempted to try and find the little creek during the night time but we got too scared. Kept hearing stuff running around.

Edge of the Waters was perfect for what we needed. We really enjoyed the screen porch and the property was fenced for my dogs and also made us feel more secure being behind a fence. Everything was just as it was stated on the website. The canal behind the house was enjoyable. We could see water even though we were not right on the beach.
