This provides a unique experience that is not your typical campground as we keep all of our campsites tucked under lush natural canopies. Car and tent camping works great! For most sites, you can easily drive up to your spot. Arrive, take a look around and settle into your site. What a peaceful, cozy, comfortable spot, with the kindest hosts. The cabin was perfectly appointed. I needed a place to rest and recharge and I got exactly that. The outdoor shower was the icing on the cake. Pretty much nothing better than being sheltered by a wise old oak tree as you wash off that road dirt. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to see the more peaceful and humane side of Austin!

We really enjoyed our stay! Just a few notes for future guests: the yurts are located in the owners’ backyard, so there isn’t a ton of privacy, and the bathroom doors don’t fully close since they don’t lock. The property has lots of fun animals, which adds to the charm, though a few did get out during our visit (a chicken, the dog, and even the pig) — a little stressful since we had our own dogs with us, but admittedly, waking up to a rogue pig was pretty thrilling. Last note, the heater in yurt 4 doesn’t work. 7/10

Loved the vibe of this place! I stayed in the airstream and it was so cute and fun. They put a lot of details that made my stay comfortable. The area is beautiful and having access to the Colorado River was awesome. We took rides in the golf cart and hung out at the pool. Super dog friendly and I appreciated how safe I felt in the space. The container bathrooms were clean and loved the set up. Also appreciated the showers having a bench and hooks. I can tell they put a lot of thought into the little things that make a good stay. Lost horizon was a great experience for us. I’m in my 40’s and we enjoy camping but I am not into communal living or multiple units close together. This offered the seclusion we wanted and a fair price. You will need a 4x4 vehicle or at least a full size suv to get down the last stretch of road to the sites. Everything else is just as noted on the site and within the website for the property. Don’t hesitate to book!

French Connection Wines is right next door and the renowned William Chris Vineyards is just 1 mile away. Not to be missed is the Garrison Brother's Bourbon Distillery, less than a mile down the street – you could even walk to all three! Our property features a shared, covered outdoor patio with a games court for corn hole, checkers, and bocce (checkers, boards and balls provided), gas fire pit, and a gas grill for those cooler nights. The patio is lighted with cafe lights. One of the RV slips is covered, while the other is nestled under a charming burr oak tree. On-site, we also offer a rental cabin. The covered RV slip is equipped with 30 and 50 amps, the other hookup is 50 amp, both have their own water and clean out connections. Both RV slips are on grass/dirt, and the entrance/exit is grass and dirt. *****IF IT RAINS heavily while you are here, please use the paved driveway to exit the property as you may get stuck in the grass at the big double gate.***** Our property uses rain water recapture. Please conserve water when you can when cooking, washing up and cleaning. No washing of cars or RVs is allowed. Please note that there might be other guests staying on the property during your visit. Kindly be considerate of noise levels and how it may impact the experience of fellow guests. You may also be sharing amenities such as the grill, deck, outdoor kitchen, and games court. We have 10 acres with 30 RV sites and tent sites. We are located 30 minutes NW of Austin, Texas. We offer full RV hookups, campsites with electricity and water. WiFi, laundry, bathroom, community grill, firepit and picnic tables. Hang out here and have a fire and a picnic. Enjoy fresh eggs from our resident chickens for breakfast.
