This land is a working wildlife sanctuary, cared for with 50 years of hands-on learning. Please don’t bring poisons—they hurt the good critters too. The yellow-and-black mud daubers? Harmless to humans, deadly to harmful spiders. The big harmless, banana spiders keep flies and mosquitos away. It's nature in balance.
If the pond’s low, bring a float or take our kayaks ten minutes away to a secret bend in the San Marcos River. We’ll share the pin.
Your close to town but, fully immersed in nature, so it's not ideal for small kids to wander alone. Ladders, beds, and trails aren’t built to code. Adults should be fit and wear sturdy shoes if going far from camp.

We had a great experience. Landers was very accommodating and helpful. Although people were close by, everyone kept to themselves, and the campsite still felt private. His two dogs were so sweet and respectful to our two dogs (and us!). We would absolutely stay here again :)

Weekend Trip to Breathe Deeply
Perfect weekend getaway from apartment living! Plenty of privacy and an enclosed gate so our pup could wander while we made a campfire. Hot tub was such a wonderful treat, all water was temperature controlled and easy to use, compost toilet was clean, the bed was sooo comfy and grilling/cooking amenities were plentiful w/ options! Landers was an excellent host with clear direction and quick communication. This place is in an excellent location for travelers or those just looking for a nearby weekend retreat. Very safe. Love the ducklings on site. We look forward to visiting again very soon.

from the moment you step onto the property, the whimsy from the the layout from the backyard is magical!! ✨ adrienne is so attentive- there’s so many thoughtful details that contribute to the stay. from hooks by the hot tub, the lighting, cards and games in the airstream to anything you might possibly need for your cozy lil getaway. the airstream is decorated in the most outstanding way and the outdoor shower is another treat. it was exceptionally clean cozy and more than we could’ve asked for. The host is very nice and willing to help and lend information whenever necessary. Very nice get away from the rest of the world, you might be lucky to see some deer on our path like we did. Fire pit, grill, kitchenette, wifi, hot tub are good bonuses. We already want to come back!

Weekend Trip to The Reserve at GreenLeaf
We had such a wonderful time. Our hosts greeted us for a short intro to the place which was nice. I got some pointers on how to use a French Coffee press (you'll see) and we got the lay of the land. There are walking trails, a community fire pit (there are only 4 yurts), a pavilion with Corn Hole type games and a hot tub (didn't try it out). It was extremely peaceful and calm. A great place to forget about things for a couple of days. Also, Bastrop has a nice downtown area. We ate at Neighbors (?) downtown and enjoyed sitting on the patio by the river.

Absolutely everything is what you would expect. This was an oasis hidden in an unexpected place. I came for solitude and a menu for each meal, just to toss is out of the window and explored the eateries within distance (thanks Tamara!). Before I could get out of the truck to unlock the door, my husband is yelling from inside the fence, “Babe! I love this place!” And we hadn’t even stepped inside to see all of the thought and effort that was put into the cabin. They have everything you could possibly think of. The only thing not in the cabin is an oven, unless I absolutely missed it. Two loft queen size beds with the master bed being a king size. A shower indoor and outdoor. A desk workspace. Every space so well used up. The hot tub was soooooo nice with the out door games! My husband and I own a CPA Firm and needed the little two night getaway to simply relax! I highly recommend Eder’s Property for any future stays. It is family friendly, but it’s more on the romantic side and nice to walk around naked if you wish because the whole housing is private fenced. I know we will be back for certain! Joe and Misty

Texas Hill Country
The rolling hills, wildflower meadows, and vineyards of Texas Hill Country surround Lake Travis. Set out on a scenic hike or bike ride through the hills, cool off with a swim at Hamilton Pool or Pedernales Falls, or enjoy wine tasting along the Hill Country Wine Trail. There are hike-in tent sites and electric hookup RV sites at Pedernales Falls State Park, but for something more unique, opt for a quirky glampsite or camp on a country farm.
Austin & Around
The state capital is little more than a half-hour drive from Lake Travis, making it easy to take in the highlights on a day trip. Austin has more than its fair share of green spaces, whether you want to rent a paddleboat or stand-up paddleboard on Lady Bird Lake, cool off with a swim at Barton Springs or Deep Eddy Pools, or go birding at the Balcones Canyonlands National Wildlife Refuge. On the outskirts of the city, McKinney Falls State Park is a favorite for campers, with hiking, biking trails, and fishing spots, as well as cabin rentals.
Along the Colorado River
The Colorado River winds its way north from Lake Travis, dotted with golf courses, vineyards, and recreation areas where you can pitch a tent or launch your boat away from the summer crowds. San Antonio & Around
Two hours south of Lake Travis, San Antonio is known for its Alamo and RiverWalk, but it’s also the gateway to some of the Hill Country’s most scenic camping getaways. Head to Garner State Park to fish, kayak, and admire the fall foliage, get your adrenaline fix tubing and mountain biking at Guadalupe River State Park, or escape the crowds at the walk-in tent sites in the Government Canyon State Natural Area. For city camping, there are basic tent and RV sites at Calaveras Lake and Braunig Lake just south of downtown.
