Lake Livingston is a large 23+ mile lake. We bought the property in 2014 and did upgrades on weekends, love the views, fishing, campfires, and meeting people so we opened the first cabin in April of 2018, now have 5 cabins and 9 rv sites and welcome you to enjoy the lake as much as we do. Every season of the year is a little different and all are wonderful! We are in nature, and across street from wetlands, yet only 2 miles from city grocery store and restaurants! There are 3 piers, fishing, picnicking, beautiful sunsets, nature watching, small watercraft rentals, guide paid pontoon tours, swimming, bonfires, bbq’s with firewood available on site for purchase if desired. Weekend Trip to Whispering Creek Lodging & RV Resort
The campgrounds are well kept and the office staff is very friendly. Breakfast was served on the weekend and coffee. This was not expected and very much appreciated! The RV was spacious and had everything needed to enjoy our stay!

The cabin was very clean. We loved that it came stocked with anything needed in a kitchen (pots, pans, cutlery, paper towels, etc.) The pool was awesome and it is so nice that they have a restaurant on site. My family of 4 and our 2 dogs had a great time here and we will be back.

It’s a very nice new place with a great pool and lake views. It’s a very big park and we were there in a Class C on a slow weekend. It had a very nice kids playground and a venue for a live band or performance that was near the pool. We had an afternoon snack at the Restaurant that was good. It’s very much a bar type food restaurant. The water and ice tea had an odd taste like the water softener put too much salt in it. The wait staff was friendly and efficient. There was a pool swim up bar that was staffed from the inside restaurant bar, but it was a light weekend as the park and pool were not very busy. The RV sites were long and plenty wide. I was in a section with only 3 RV’s near by and the pedestal voltage was only 111 volts on the 30a circuit. While sufficient for my stay could be a problem if they were very full in the heat of summer. The Dumpster was in the far corner of the park which is large. They could probably use a bit more lighting through out. I had to use a flash light to get to the dumpster at night.
We will definitely be back. Next time in our Class A to test out the 50a service.
It might be interesting to see if the pool or restaurant can handle the capacity if the park was full. There are a lot of sites

This was an absolute perfect little getaway. We chose the rustic tent area and pitched ours in a quiet little spot. We were a little late getting started from home and did not arrive until after the office was closed but I called and the office staff laid out very clear instructions on what I needed to do upon arrival to ensure we were all checked in. Amazing prices for both camping and the kayak rentals and an awesome staff that went above and beyond the ensure that we enjoyed our stay. We’ve already been chatting about our next visit to the area and are 100% looking at rebooking at this location.

There were a few minor hiccups due to the age (2 mos.) of the establishment. The amenities were clean and organized. Unfortunately, the arcade was not up and running yet, but I'm sure will be nice as well. The pool and swim up bar were a great way to beat the heat and the on-site restaurant was really good!

THRIVE Family Camp and RV is an absolute gem. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by the serene beauty of the forest and the warm hospitality of our host, David. The campsite was impeccably clean and well-organized. We especially appreciated the clean bathroom facilities, which made our stay even more comfortable. Davey was most gracious, and we had the place to ourselves. The peaceful atmosphere, combined with the natural surroundings, provided a truly relaxing retreat. Even though I booked at the very last possible minute, David went out of his way to be helpful and accommodating. The site is very rural and secluded and waking up to a rich chorus of songbirds including Hooded and Swainson’s warblers was delightful.

Upon arrival late at night although I gave David a short notice he showed up in the Darkness with his family and showed me around the campsite and made sure that all our questions were answered unfortunately on the second day my girlfriend who isn't a big camper wanted to cut the trip short and David was courteous enough to provide us a refund although he didn't have to we'll definitely consider coming back in the future the campsite was very well organized and clean and easy to locate.
