I had the best time with my little family in our very first camping trip here. Everything was well kept the most beautiful views and scenic river. The evem owners checked on us and asked if we needed anything and I had rembered that our kids cot stayed behind and could use an extra one which they graciously brought by for kiddos. We loved the community feeling, yet still with had privacy and the convenient amenities. We will be back again 100%

Glamping at 12 Fires Winery and Vineyard was lovely! The owners were so fun to talk to you and very accommodating. The property was gorgeous and the tents were great and super updated. Would definitely go back!

Wow! Loved the drive to sites. So easy to locate your site and the views are incredible! I specifically booked for the stars and it did NOT DISAPPOINT! Felt like we were under the milky way! Plan to come back to stay at all the different sites and bring a crew too!

Weekend Trip to Dos Rios - Hill Country Adventure
My wife and I love camping and have acquired ALL of the gear over the years to ensure all of our needs are met. We can set up our tent/site quickly and efficiently; however, this was our first time “glamping”, and what a nice change it was to have everything set up for you upon arrival (and sleeping on an actual queen size mattress wasn’t bad either! lol). All we had to do was bring ourselves and our food, they even provide a propane camp-stove! We stayed in ‘5A’ and the view from our front porch was nothing but woods, it felt like we were the only people there, but indoor plumbing and a hot shower were just around the corner. You couldn’t ask for a better location to camp, as you are only a 45 minute drive from Fredericksburg, but it feels like you are in the middle of nowhere. It’s located where the Llano and James rivers converge, which allows for kayaking or a dip in the refreshing waters (we were there in late summer and the waters were still surprisingly cool!).
We arrived late in the day, as the sun was setting, but Tammy still came by that evening to make sure that we were settled in, and that all of our needs were met (she even surprised us with a box fan* for our tent!).
Texas Hill country is stunning and has a lot to offer, but you could not ask for a better location to get a taste of it all, than Dos Rios!
*FYI: We were pleasantly surprised to learn that the tents have electrical access, so we were able to run that fan and keep our portable speaker charged!

We love it here! It’s my favorite spot. Mason is such a cool town and Dos Rios is so great! Any issues we had were addressed right away and the view is breathtaking 🤩

I loved my stay at dos Rios, I stayed in the Jupe cliff hanger site. The views were magnificent and enjoyed looking down at the river and seeing the fish swimming around. Loved the hole area and definitely planning on coming back.

This is our second time staying at Dos Rios. We always have a great time. The tent had everything it needed but was a little dirtier inside than what I expected after staying in the Jupe properties but nothing that would deter us from coming back. The host is super friendly and helpful. We love the proximity to the river and neighboring towns.

We stayed at Tentrr 5B. Great camping site. The river nearby is awesome/clean water and good fishing. Very remote and was quiet at night.
Campsites are very close together so not really private. Hosts are nice. The bed was comfortable. Downside is the public restrooms and showers are absolutely disgusting/dirty. It’s worse than a nasty truck stop. I would not advise anyone much less a woman use them. Overall, though it’s a good place with great river access but if you’re looking for somewhere that you have a little privacy this is not it as there are RV’s/campsites stacked right on top of each other and people are everywhere. If you don’t want that then you should go somewhere else.
Also the James River Icehouse is right across the road from the campground and it’s excellent!! Great burgers and people there are super friendly!!

1 night at Dos Rios - Hill Country Adventure
I had the pleasure of staying in 5A already set up Tents with a stunning from the bed. SO peaceful and relaxing, near the bathhouse with hot showers. Clean, comfortable and as a single person traveling I felt safe here!!

Host worked with us to change into a cabin last minute due to cold front that would have otherwise stopped us from staying overnight. The team was helpful and the site as a whole was really neat. Hoping to go again in summer to experience the river more.

My family and I LOVED staying here with our pups! It was the perfect way to get some non-campers into relaxing in the outdoors! The beds were comfortable, the interiors were simple but absolutely stunning, and our surroundings were so peaceful. I found myself wanting to wake up before sunrise every day :) My dogs have been all over the country with me, but this is definitely one of my favorite stays with them. Getting an additional golf cart was also a very convenient addition to easily get around property!
ALSO It turns out Outdoorsy has two more locations in Colorado and outside of Yosemite--so I may look into trips there as well!

We enjoyed our tent glamping experience at 12 Fires Winery very much! The atmosphere was romantic, positive vibes. The tend had everything we needed, including a space heater and extra blankets which was appreciated on a cold night. The host was responsive, gracious, and accommodating. Thanks 12 Fires!

Great stay! The Jupes are gorgeous and brilliantly designed! Lucked out by coming during the slower times so, entire property was very quiet.
Will certainly come again buuuut, will come prepared to FISH!
