Each site is private. When the ground is dry there is access for all vehicles. When the ground is muddy, Brookside, RiverRock, and Richardson Creek campsites require a 4-wheel drive and have alternate routes to get to them. Ancient Oaks is an all-weather site. You can enjoy hiking and swimming in Richardson Creek when water levels permit. Canoeing from Bakers Crossing put-in which is only 3 miles away. Weekend Trip to Republic Of Texas Campground

The entire site was extremely clean. All of the hookups were easily accessible. The pull through sites were all leveled with packed caliche which made it very easy to park and level the trailer. The on site hosts are so nice. Overall we would definitely recommend staying here. The only thing people should be aware of is if you have dogs with longer hair on their feet or tail the grass burs, not stickers, will be an issue if you walk them in the grass. Bring a comb.

Two other campers in the park while I was there. One was most kind, helping to back in my trailer. Although there is lots of road noise from the traffic, it was quiet overnight. A huge rooster stopped by in the morning to make sure I was awake.
