We have three ground tent sites and two 14 by 14 deck sites if you want to be up off the ground. Each site has a fire ring and electricity. There are well-marked trails across the creek which go to a meadow and a big treehouse I built several years ago. Glen Rose has several restaurants known for barbecue and Mexican food. The camp grounds are very nice and fairly well thought out. A little difficult to know where to go but once you figure out the layout it's a little easier. I love that it was just a short walk from most of the campsites to the restrooms. A little more info about what to expect and also where the showers were located would help. Showers were fair except the wooden backsplash was kinda gross. Oh well. I'm just glad there were showers with hot water etc. Would def recommend and will def return

We were very close to the showers and the toilet. There was a large trashcan right at the campsite. Even though the hipcampers were relatively close to one another in proximity, the cedar grove of trees provided a lot of privacy, it was very peaceful and quiet the Sat night we stayed.

Sundancer On The Brazos sits on Comanche Creek in an isolated forest on a 350 acre working cattle ranch with a quarter mile of river frontage! The Comanche were quite active up and down this part of the Brazos when the earliest settlers arrived around 1850, until the Comanches' eventual conquest by the Texas Rangers and their Colt pistols around 1870; we have found lots of flint and some arrowheads on high places here. Going further back in history, the Fuller's Folly River Ranch has an abundance of petrified wood, they say that if you have fossilized sea shells you were under water, but if you have petrified wood you had land creatures. Hunting for petrified wood is a fun adventure here. (But leave them for the next person to discover!) Weatherford is only 10 minutes away and Granbury is only 20 minutes away; both have great restaurants. And this close to Fort Worth (30min), you could actually commute and have a ranch to come home to at night--note the lower pricing mid week.
