There is road noise. Highway 29 can be busy at times, despite being a two-lane road. Quiet hours are after 10 pm Sunday - Thursday and midnight Friday and Saturday.
Access to our river site is included in your camping fee. This secluded hike-to (~ 1-2 minute walk) site is peaceful with limestone cliff views and no visible homes or signs of civilization. The trail head is accessed by a dirt road that winds around our corn field and into the woods, and can be accessed by any vehicle in normal weather conditions. We will provide warning/refunds if the river road becomes 4x4 only. Fishing is allowed with a valid Texas fishing license. There is no overnight camping on the San Gabriel River. All camping is at the main farm area and campers are able to come and go from the river site as they please (day or night!).

Come stay in our sweet semi off grid cabin just between Austin and Marble Falls Tx. Near beautiful Lake Travis.
Upon arrival you can park in the flat dirt driveway in front of the boat. The trail up to the cabin begins right there.
There’s a short somewhat steep hike from the parking area by the road up to the cabin. Again the trail is steep and approximately 30 yards long. Keep this in mind because your belongings will have to be carried up the trail. If you have 4x4 you can drive up top closer to the cabin. This is a glamping experience and you will need sleeping pads, bags and pillows. We do not provide bedding. The cabin sleeps 4. 2 on the futon and 2 (preferably kids sized humans) up in the loft. There is electricity but no running water, so bring water. There a/c heat and a mini fridge/freezer. Also a sweet vintage hifi system with a good vinyl collection. It also had Bluetooth capability.
Turkey Bend recreation area on Lake Travis it’s just a couple of miles down the road. Marble Falls and Austin are both about the same distance away approximately 17 miles. Hidden Falls adventure Park is approximately 7 miles away. Lago Vista Texas is the closest city with restaurants and gas stations and grocery stores. This property is on a dirt road and light pollution in minimal so this is a great place to stargaze! The parking area is also dirt and somewhat uneven. Kaz always had a DREAM to help kids with Life Skills & Mentor in God’s Principles because she had Christian Mentors growing up! They were always there for her through her life and kept her focused down the right path and stayed out of trouble and learned a tremendous amount from them! Bill her husband supports her and they raised 7 children together and have 10 grandkids. Kaz father was Asperger's Autistic and from 5 years old started showing Kaz hands on learning skills that are still instilled in her today! She found this to be a Valuable Lesson from her Dad. These methods and skills through the years working with her own children and other children through the years with different organizations confirm to be very beneficial and encouraging for the children growing up. Bill and Kaz have shared equally through all they’re projects during they’re 40 years of marriage. They’re Jack Of All Trades, Artists, Shown in Art Shows, Remodeled Homes, Churches, Work on the Ranch Together, and Etc. They are able to teach others how to do things that can benefit kids till they graduate and have a better understanding of what they want to do in their lives as an adult and PLUS have the mentoring to guide them through life.

The tent was perfect for our family of 4! We only stayed one night, so we didn't need much room. He offered an extra tent for the kids if we needed extra room (which we didn't). He had a heater and portable AC which was very helpful at night to sleep comfortably. Bed, cots, and sheets were sturdy and comfortable. We enjoyed the hammock and the grill. He provided firewood, and I also loved that there was heavy duty hose with a sprayer attachment close by for washing.
He met us at the site when we arrived and explained how everything worked. The composting toilet was on site, but the was a pretty good sized rip in the covering, so not very private. But he told us about the actual bathroom just a few minutes walk away, so that was nice to use. There's also very long walking trails in the back that my daughter loved! We found a few ponds and also a windmill.
Overall, I would recommend this spot for anyone who wants to enjoy a camping experience without all the setup. It was only 15 minutes away from an HEB, so grabbing dinner supplies was super convenient. We would definitely return!

Super cute quaint camping site! Tent pads are more primitive but are super close to very nice amenities. Bathrooms, showers and laundry are incredibly nice and well maintained. It had just rained a lot but the only way down to the water was very unsafe and not easy to be used. (Coulve been washed out from rain). It was very quiet and serene except for the freight train that ran what felt like 20 yards away across the creek, 5 times between 10 pm and 8 am. That would not stop us from coming back because it added to the small town country charm for us but for some with little ones that might be a problem. Love it overall!

Such a lovely family vacation spot! We swam in the river with the kiddo and our pup and fished. We also grilled so much food over the camp fire while jamming in the guitar and pet all of the sweet horses. The pavilion had so many grills and the bathroom was so cutely decorated. The trees were so tall and the forest was thick yet easy to navigate and get back to the main camp. This is a perfect spot to get away from the screen yet spend awesome quality with the family. It was so quiet and peaceful.

This place is beyond awesome, beautiful animals and sites galore. The river is so clear you will not want to leave. The host was amazing. They brought us firewood and answered all questions whenever we needed.

Weekend Trip to The Outpost
This place was so great in every way - the deck was perfect for coffee, a cocktail, and a dip in the hot tub. Jessica was so responsive and helpful, the trail on the property was awesome and we explored all over. There was so much attention to detail here and it’s an outstanding place to stay. So eclectic. Still close to everything, but sitting on the deck was quiet and full of nature. Even enjoyed peeping some chicks with the chickens that were roaming around 🥰

A great place to camp with a group in the beautiful farmland area of Georgetown. Very helpful and kind hosts, with access to toilet, showers and a river a few minutes away.
The chickens and other animals are fun to hang around.

The camping area was great! McDonald’s Farm was amazing at communicating. When we arrive had clear access and instructions. Provide a fire pit and wood to burn. They regularly checked in on us. Upon leaving we were able to get purchase fresh eggs and jelly’s. Highly recommended

Camping on the River Bank Campsite at P squared Farm was just what I wanted for our 5th Annual Daddy Daughter Camp. We got the peace and serenity of a full immersion in nature. Fell asleep to the gentle flow of the river the first night and the pitter-patter of rainfall the second night. Every morning we awoke to the choir of serenading birds.

We don't have hills like that in south Louisiana! Great experience and fun place to camp. Didn't see anyone else while we were there. My kids and dogs had a great time exploring. Chose this place because of its proximity to Hidden Falls and LCRA parks we wanted to visit, and I'm glad we did. Would definitely stay again when we're in the area again. I had to reschedule our trip at the last minute due to an emergency at work and it was seamless, no issues at all. I also had to work remotely one day we were there and the phone signal was great.

Makayla’s property is backed up to the San Gabriel river and she keeps it as untouched as possible so the wildlife will flourish, which makes for great viewing and exploration along the river bank. Can’t thank her enough for opening up her gates to the public to come enjoy a truly peaceful camping experience.

The host and campsite were great!! Daniel waited by the front gate when we arrived to show us around and take us to our campsite. The campsite had great amenities which include first night of firewood free, a nice fire pit, a nice built up area to use the restroom, and a picnic table with umbrella with lights- all in a nice open yet secluded space. There wasn’t a hose, so Daniel was awesome and brought us a large cooler of water with a spout that was perfect for washing hands and dishes for the weekend. The campsite had a bathroom and shower with warm water. Special bonus was the super lovey dogs, donkey, and cows on the site. We also got to see a TON of stars in the night sky!! And it was a nice, easy drive from Austin. And Lampasas is a cute town. The campsite is a perfect distance from the town without being too far away.

Weekend Trip to Magical Lakefront Retreat Property
Very beautiful property and really nice accommodations. Loved the hammock swings. The fridge is more of a small fridge rather than a mini fridge which was nice. Between the grill and electric cooktop you can cook whatever!
