Weekend Trip to Creekside Brazos Rock Camp & Kayak

We enjoyed camping beside the creek and having the whole place to ourselves most of the time. I also appreciate that there’s a bathroom with an indoor and outdoor shower! The water is cold, but after kayaking I didn’t really mind. The launch point was very difficult to manage, but that might be because the water was low. I loved the fact that a five minute paddle down the creek took us to the Brazos and a beautiful swim beach!

This place is the ideal camping spot. When you think of camping, this is the kind of peaceful environment you imagine. I'm pretty sure that we see a unicorn every few days come out of the woods but, I can't be 100% sure.

Went for 3 nights and 2 day.! This place is amazing. The campsite is a great spot! To the north you have you campsite and easy access to creek. To the south you have wide open pasture and herd of Goats! My boys loved camping here. They enjoyed the hammocks we set up between perfectly placed trees. The fishing in the creek!. They caught several LG bass!. 20 minutes to Dinosaur Valley SP. There is a a water spicket available but we brought our own. They have a compost set up for restroom needs. Would recommend to anyone wanting to get away.

Recently stayed for 2 nights here with my dog; I enjoyed it. Definitely seems to have a population of flies around, but very tolerable during my stay. Emory happened to swing by in the morning -- he was very nice. Got some great photos and videos of the land and animals.

Easy to find location, close to grocery/stores, Rod & Eddie were kind & hospitable. The land is peaceful and it provided the perfect rest stop as I was passing through. Would happily return & stay longer next time I’m in the area.

We loved staying at Friends in RV Spaces. It was in the country, on a beautiful piece of property. The hosts, Sarah and Sam, were very friendly. They made sure we had all the needed information about staying on their property, and asked us if we had any questions about the area. We will definitely stay there again if we come to the Fort Worth area.

We stayed the weekend for a getaway from life and work. Such a calm and relaxing location. It was nice to lay in the hammock and watch the animals walk around. We enjoyed walks around the property with small trails to walk through. One of our best moments was sitting by the lake at night to star gaze, it was such a beautiful view of all the visible stars. Our 4 legged furry daughter really enjoyed laying on the top floor balcony of the dollhouse to enjoy the entire view. We had such an amazing weekend. Thank you Amy for being such an accommodating host. We will definitely 1000% be back!

This camp has a wonderful pavilion with lots of seating and activities for the children also. We loved the animals, the quiet, and the area to walk and enjoy. In the description for this listing it says the campground is "a pastural oasis just a stones throw away fom urban convenience" and I found it to be just that. It's also a work in progress and I like what they're doing here. I'm a semi-retired van-lifer travelling wherever life takes me but DFW is my home base and it's great to find this place available for those times I need to be in town, this time being my granddaughter's upcoming Sweet 16 birthday. So if you need a relaxing break from the road, this is your place and Rod and Eddie will take care of you.

There is over a quarter mile of Brazos riverfront property although you cannot get to the river on all of it due to it being in its natural state. There is a beach at the main camp that provides easy in and out of the water. the water depth varies with the rainfall but is usually between 2-4 feet deep.

Come stay on our 100 acre Richard Creek Valley getaway, gently tucked away on the north slope. There are four campsites on the property and they are all at least 150 yards away from each other. Each site is private. When the ground is dry there is access for all vehicles. When the ground is muddy, Brookside, RiverRock, and Richardson Creek campsites require a 4-wheel drive and have alternate routes to get to them. Ancient Oaks is an all-weather site. You can enjoy hiking and swimming in Richardson Creek when water levels permit. Canoeing from Bakers Crossing put-in which is only 3 miles away. Some places to check out while you are here include Dinosaur Valley State Park, Dinosaur World, Granbury Historic Square, Stephenville Rodeo, Bakers Crossing River Put-In, Oakdale Plunge Pool, and BigRocks Park in Glen Rose.
