Beautiful views from every vantage with a high field on one half of the property and a low bottom land near the creek where there are many options for a relaxing, private stay. Chose big sky or a more secluded spot. Incredible wildflowers on display in the spring. The property is not bordered by close neighbors or dense housing, just more land so sunsets and rises are wonderful and open. Low ambient light pollution at night means the stars are very bright (and so are the fireflies)!

Our 100 acre heritage property has been in the family for over 150 years. Since 2017, we've been operating our land as a Vegan, Regenerative-Agriculture Farm & Animal Sanctuary. We currently have 2 dogs, 3 cats plus a herd of 31 Cows, 4 Potbelly Pigs and 2 Spanish Goats. The cows and pigs are all rescue animals so, where as they are adapted to humans being around them, they are very shy and petting them is not allowed. We are located outside of Dime Box, TX and are a 30 minute drive from the quaint, artist village of Round Top, and 12 miles from Lake Somerville SP.

There are plenty of nooks and crannies to explore and gorgeous views of the Texas horizons....time your stay just right and you can stand directly between the sunset and the moonrise! We also have a hike-and-bike, nature trail that offers a 360 loop around the property.
We have a new construction Bath House on site for restroom needs w/ hot showers and composting potties plus a cold-water sink w/ non-potable water suited for washing produce, hands, dishes or camping gear.

ENJOY THE GREAT OUTDOORS! Camp Joy offers guests two docks available to use for fishing, lounging, getting in and out of kayaks on the property. The one shown was built as handicap accessible. This small lake is one of three lakes in the area called "Cade Lakes". Great for catching crappie, bass and catfish. Kids enjoy watching the turtles push each other off the logs seen around the banks. If you love to fish, the greatest fishing lake in Texas is a few miles away near Somerville, TX called "Lake Somerville". It's a scenic drive to the Overlook Marina and Lake Somerville Dam. Several State Parks surround Lake Somerville, the closest from this location is "Birch Creek State Park" with beautiful hiking trails. Highly recommend the drive to check the Parks out. Also recommend visiting "Washington on the Brazos", the birthplace of Texas and is where the Texas Declaration of Independence was signed. It is also a State Park. The "Aggieland Wild Animal Safari" is outside of Bryan College Station and is a great place to take the kids to interact with all kinds of animals. Offers a drive-thru in which you can drive thru as many times as you want, as well as a petting zoo and gift shop. And, if you like shopping, there are lots of antique shops and wineries at Round Top, another scenic drive about 45 minutes away. And all the ice cream lovers must visit the home of "Blue Bell" in Brenham, TX which is only open to the public during the weekdays, not weekends. While in Brenham, kids love to skate at the historic "Silver Wings Ballroom", known as one of the best skating rinks in Texas! There's a good chance you will get a glimpse of beavers building their dams along the shoreline or see numerous rare black squirrels circle the many tall trees playing gleefully. Many species of birds and wildlife make their home here, including white-tailed deer, feral hogs, fox, coyote, bobcat, raccoon, rabbit and various waterfowl. Love to fish! Two docks available for fishing and kayaking. Just cast a line for crappie, bass and catfish and cook fresh at your campsite. Socialize with your friends and family in the evenings around campfires while roasting marshmallows and toasting your favorite beverages. Music allowed at sites and around property, however we ask guests to be respectful of other campers and limit noise after 10:00 p.m.
What if you forget something? Don't worry, it's about a mile to the nearest little country grocery store and restaurant called "Grand Pops". They serve up some great hamburgers and other home-style meals. Most people have "Hot Spots" on their phones these days. Don't let all the "whats and ifs" deter you. With a little bit of planning, a healthy dose of the adventurous spirit, your camping will make you crave more. Here's some items to think about:
Water, toiletries, privacy tents, fire starters, cooking utensils, pots and pans, stove, fuel, utensils, first-aid kit, sunscreen, bug spray, sleeping bag, pillow, backpack, chairs, ice chest, trash bags. We ask that you please haul off your own trash.

ENJOY THE GREAT OUTDOORS! Camp Joy offers guests two docks available to use for fishing, lounging, getting in and out of kayaks on the property. The one shown was built as handicap accessible. This small lake is one of three lakes in the area called "Cade Lakes". Great for catching crappie, bass and catfish. Kids enjoy watching the turtles push each other off the logs seen around the banks. If you love to fish, the greatest fishing lake in Texas is a few miles away near Somerville, TX called "Lake Somerville". It's a scenic drive to the Overlook Marina and Lake Somerville Dam. Several State Parks surround Lake Somerville, the closest from this location is "Birch Creek State Park" with beautiful hiking trails. Highly recommend the drive to check the Parks out. Also recommend visiting "Washington on the Brazos", the birthplace of Texas and is where the Texas Declaration of Independence was signed. It is also a State Park. The "Aggieland Wild Animal Safari" is outside of Bryan College Station and is a great place to take the kids to interact with all kinds of animals. Offers a drive-thru in which you can drive thru as many times as you want, as well as a petting zoo and gift shop. And, if you like shopping, there are lots of antique shops and wineries at Round Top, another scenic drive about 45 minutes away. And all the ice cream lovers must visit the home of "Blue Bell" in Brenham, TX which is only open to the public during the weekdays, not weekends. While in Brenham, kids love to skate at the historic "Silver Wings Ballroom", known as one of the best skating rinks in Texas! Check for local events happening all around such as Aggie Football Games, Snook ChiliFest, Market Days on the Square in Caldwell and much, much more!

Terry has shared the perfect little slice of heaven with campers right next to the lone star trail! I stayed with my 3 small kids and we had everything we needed and some. Peaceful, beautiful views of pond and trees, convenient location with bathroom, outdoor shower, outdoor kitchen and spacious sites. We had the place to ourselves and enjoyed horseshoe and disc golf along with getting a couple small hikes in. We'll definitely be back and highly recommend :)

Spent another week in there, as great as it was before. Campground was clean, well organized, and the host was very responsive. Would recommend this place for anyone even if it’s a family or some friends has clean showers, very clean bathroom, and a great ambience.

Terry was extremely kind, the land was beautiful, and it felt private and safe! There is a trail head on the property that leads directly to lone star trail (and there’s a map too). It made our trip easy and enjoyable! 10/10 would recommend!

We really enjoyed our 4 day 3 night stay at Wild and Boujee right on the Colorado River. This spot is pretty secluded and offers a nice quite place to relax, fish, explore and unwind.
The river sites, while 100% dry campsites offer ample shade and easy access to the water. We felt having a few more spots along the waters edge cleaned up a little would have allowed for more fishing opportunities where the water is a bit deeper.
We definitely have this marked as a go to place close by our house for future trips. We really want to check this spot out during the summer.
There is access to a water faucet close to the RV pads and Tent/Cabin which was nice for us to top off our small offgrid camper.

We had such a great time camping on Terrys land. Plenty of space and he even leaves firewood on your site for you. There is also a clean bathroom and a shower with hot water. It’s also right next to the lonestar trail. We will definitely be coming back. Thank you Terry!

We are first time tent campers. And Circle C Campground was perfect for newbies like us. It was easy to find and Terry came by to check on us when we arrived. We loved having a restroom shower available. There's also easy access to Lonestar hiking trails. We'll be back again!!

We had a great 2 night stay at Circle C Campground essentially inside the Sam Houston National Forrest. The park trails began 50 yrds from our campsite. The sites themselves were very large, and there are only 7 total campsites, so it felt very spacious. There was a lot for the kids to do and they roamed freely with no worries from mom or dad about them all weekend. Terry was very friendly and has spared no expense improving the property to allow campers to enjoy it. Highly recommended.

I really enjoyed staying here. There was no cell service on my phone (AT&T), which meant it was quiet. Terry returned my text message in a decent amount of time when I had a question about the site. I really liked the fact that there was a stack of firewood at each site.

The camp is exactly what we needed! As we had several large dogs with us, it allowed our dogs to have the space and privacy that we needed as well as a nice peaceful vacation. Having the electricity there was very helpful! It was quiet and peaceful, and even though we had to move the trailer to dump and fill up water, it was still what we were looking for! And everything was there on site. Our host page was responsive and helpful! Would definitely stay again.

Camping at Circle had to be one of the best camping experiences I’ve had in Texas! Being from the PNW it brought a balance of forest and comfort! The outdoor shower was awesome and the campgrounds were very clean. Terry the host is also very nice and always willing to answer any questions you have!! I will be back soon.
