Weekend Trip to Antique Capital RV Park

It was a very clean park with a few wonderful large bathhouses and a pool, …mostly long term RVers, but everyone I encountered was very pleasant, I would stay again to do laundry and swim!

I appreciated the peaceful stop conveniently off of the interstate. I was concerned about being a lone, female traveler but Anthony made me feel welcome, safe, and seemed to really care for the campsites and guests, checking on everyone and tending to the site. There was a small creek near the campsite where I could sit and journal on some fallen trees- it was nice having access to explore their property a little bit. The grounds were well kept and the tent camping vibes were cute with the bulb lights. I would recommend this for group trips, for sure, but it’s also good for solo or couple camping if you like to be friendly with neighbors. The toilet was clean and I liked that there was potable water. I would have appreciated a fire ring for each individual tent site, otherwise there is a group fire fit (unless I missed one). Other than that- I would 100% come back:))))

Had a great time! The animals are adorable! The trails are fantastic full of berries to pick! Hosts were very accommodating and gave us a tour! We will definitely be back. The house dogs were the best part for us. They treat you like family!

I thoroughly enjoyed camping in my RV in site 1. Being surrounded by woods and the countryside location, allowed me to recharge through nature. The hosts even fixed me up with kindling in the fire pit so I could enjoy a campfire at night. What a thoughtful touch!

Very hospitable hosts. Clean sites, well maintained. A couple of upgrades would be welcomed. Possibly a different latch on the outhouse. The lock would occasionally get stuck while inside. And also maybe a solar powered light. Solar panel on the roof and light on the ceiling that’s motion activated. Gaming shed was cool. Maybe add a basketball hoop. Next time will check out one of the vacation rentals. They looked really nice.

A beautiful ranch to enjoy tranquility. So green, a beautiful pond. Laundry on site too was a great thing to have access to on a long trip. Would love to come again if we come through that way again.

Host is very friendly and responsive but not intrusive, they go above and beyond to ensure enjoyment of your stay with them. Lots of space and very friendly pup neighbors to wear your (friendly) pups out! Stay with them if needing a place to stay in Tyler, you won’t be disappointed!

The day before we left, my girlfriend and I wanted to extend the stay by a day, but the app wasn’t working with us. Anthony (who had just restocked the firewood while we were gone. We didn’t need to ask, we just came back from a drive and it was restocked) came down to meet us. I sent him the money for the extra night on Zelle and we called it even. Nice people, nice campsite, will likely be back

So, there was some mixup with Petra's getting the reservation.... not certain what happened there, but they were gracious and gave me permission to stay the night. I car camp and my spot was level. I was safe and there were no other campers. My purpose was only to avoid the cost of motels as I drive cross country and this served the purpose.

Great little spot to stop at while passing through. Very private and unique since you’re surrounded by all of the farm animals. Their dogs were off leash but extremely friendly to us and our dog. Just be careful where you step, we both stepped in dog poop. Close enough to town for all of your shopping/errands. T-Mobile home internet was “good”

It was not busy at all when we went 2nd weekend in November 2024. We did change spots we were not in #5, we switched to #9. Only negative thing is that you can hear the road noise, no way around that though. I am sure it is a packed park in December because that is where the Santa Christmas Train is in Rusk, Texas!

We were living in the north Dallas area but always had a desire to buy some land and have a little more 'elbow room'. We were avid RVers for many years, but when that chapter closed, we missed 'glamping'. When we found our property, we knew we wanted to share this beauty, nature, and space with others as a campground. Heavenly Haven & Hideaways has been a God-inspired project, born out of our love for people, adventure, and the outdoors. Our beautiful property has RV and tent camping and we also have 2 cabins for short and mid-term rental. We've set up a large communal firepit and fun outdoor games like tether ball, a volleyball net, horseshoes, and more. There's an open field for frisbee or tossing a ball around. We're within a few miles of Tyler State Park which is great for bike riding & swimming in their lake. You can also rent paddle boats there. We're within a few miles of the Tyler Zoo -which is a surprisingly excellent zoo. There are several museums, shopping areas, and great food establishments in and around Tyler. Nearby Lindale also has the Pink Pistol, a Miranda Lambert store, and other neat places. We partner with Camp Right USA for a new level of tent camping. Quiet East Texas Piney Woods covered carport for RV or tent campers. Dedicated water and electric! Perfect for a stayover on a long I-20 road trip or just to visit one of the many nearby lakes. In Longview, just outside of city limits. Easy access from I-20, all paved roads, takes only a few minutes to get into town. Shady places to park, easy pull-through access at the site. Space is at the front of our private residential property in a quiet neighborhood with large lots. Your space will be on the front of the property, which is wooded and shaded. There is a circular paved driveway where it is easy to park an RV, and you can pull in or out in either direction. Carport is 20' wide x 26' long x 12' high and there is a longer area of level driveway without a carport if you prefer. Our home is up the asphalt driveway. Your view of the road, the main residence, and others will be partially, but not completely, obscured by the woods. Carport has 30 and 50 amp plugs, four 110V plugs, and a water faucet. There are no toileting or garbage facilities; you will need your own waste/sewage/garbage containment system and must empty it off-site. All pets must be leashed. No loud noise. No drugs or illegal activity. Simple gorgeous setting where you might just see a deer or two, but watch out for copperheads and other wildlife. We are not responsible for accidents or damage. No other campers, but neighbors are nearby, so quiet, respectful camping and staying within the space is important. This is a simple, easy place to be where you won’t be disturbed, enjoy the peace!
