Fire ring available, just let me know ahead of time.  Free wood, but you haul it from the stack along the drive.

The site. It’s quite, but full of life, fish jumping, cows mooing and coyotes howling. It’s peaceful and remote! 

Big Stars Farm

Big Stars Farm is a partnership between a ranch gal and a farm guy that raises grass fed beef as well as other farm products. The farm has been in our family for over 30 years and we consider it on of our biggest honors to care for it.Guests are welcome to tour our farmyard and pet our curious cows including our infamous Lefty the Longhorn- she has a heart as big as Texas despite her crooked horns she is our local celeb!

The primitive site has been a failed development project on Lake Stamford. &nbsp;We purchased the 350 acres not to develop into house sites, but to develop into a recreation area where people can enjoy the outdoors mountain biking, hiking, paddling, horseback riding and camping. &nbsp;Learn more about this land:This is a 350 acre pasture with 2.5 miles of Lake Stamford shore line. The lake is accessible by hiking on the property down to the lake or driving about three miles to the Stamford Marina which has a boat ramp and parking. No access via vehicle to the lake on the property where camping. Hike down to the lake is a trail a little over 1/2 mile. 

Hawleywood RV Park

We have lots of wildlife: deer, hogs, possums, skunks, and armadillos.

We have terrain to hike. Lots of trees and some cactus. West Texas fun. 

A large lake is nearby for fishing or skiing. 

We also have a golf course nearby. We are located across the street from Dollar General in HAWLEY and have two gas stations on the corners to the west of us.

We have WATER and POWER and are ready to host your RV stay! We have our 20/50 outlet plug ready for RV stay. There is a nice area for parking and picnicking. 

Please make sure to have an adapter if you are coming with a 30-amp RV.

The property is right outside of Abilene. About 15 minutes, Southwest. it is 10 minutes from the Abilene state park where you can visit Lake abilene and hit up many of the mountain trails.

There are also many universities to visit alongside an army base.
