What a fun weekend we had. Brenda is a wonderful host. Her sweet dog Bandit took us on a tour down to the lake. He is a good dog. I would recommend staying here. We will definitely be back. Thank you, Brenda and Bandit, for a wonderful weekend. ❤️

A bit rough.
If one is looking for an off grid experience this is your ticket! Really difficult roads to the site. One lane. Tight gate to enter. We made it and in the gate. Brenda came out of the vineyard and instructed us to other campers she rents out. Said park next to one and she would unhook it so I could hook up. Later. Well, I tried to do this but really tight trails and low tree branches precluded this. The trails are like a maze. So, with no one in sight and no map or directions I just drove as far away as I could as I would use a generator, and set up. Never saw another person until we left. Very strange experience indeed. Found a fine place a few miles down the road at Concho recreation area. Stop in at the grill and speak with the locals for advice regarding the Vineyard. But it is what it is and some may find it adequate. I do think much more attention should be provided their guests.

We had a great stay. Very peaceful and quiet and Brenda and her kids were super helpful. They responded quickly to anything we needed. Her dog was so fun and hung out with us at our campsite all weekend. The lake is within walking distance and the starts at night are so relaxing. We plan to book another trip before the end of summer.

Brenda has thought of everything!
Brenda's property and RVs are a delightful west-Texas stay. Her winery and RV-camp is an obvious passion project, and she truly cares about her guests. She sends clear instructions prior to arrival, a very thoughtful and thorough map/handout upon arrival, and the property is exactly how it is advertised. Brenda is welcoming, friendly, and has thought of nearly everything for a comfortable stay in her RV sites (wine, frozen drinks, board games, geocaching, kayaking, etc.). I am a solo female traveler and felt 100% comfortable, safe, and welcome at Brenda's place. Other highlights include the peaceful lakefront that is a 10-15 minute walk around the vineyards, the constantly running AC keeping the camper van very cool, and the hammock and chairs for outdoor lounging. This is definitely a cozy and comfortable HipCamp. If you have read this far, go ahead and book. You won't regret it.

Brenda is super kind and generous! The spot we stayed at was lovely and we could see the lake from where we camped. Her dog, Bandit, helpfully guided us to the entrance of the lake and splashed in the water for a bit. We only stayed for one night, but we loved it and would definitely visit again! :)

Brenda was a wonderful host and we had a good time. However, the camper was not as described and was not clean. We also did not have hot water. TVs didn’t work (not that it mattered). Couldn’t find Colman propane grills as described.

Winery returned junkyard
This winery felt more like a junkyard. There is trash everywhere. There are existing vines here but no winery experience. The “tasting room” is a junk storage area with no wine tasting. The access to a lake was nice though.

Pleasant stay next to a vineyard
This is a HipCamp, Harvest Host, and Air B&B destination. There are a few vintage trailers you can stay in, or bring your own, but warning: if you have a big rig, may not be the best place for you! Maybe wasn’t what we expected since there is no tour of the winery nor place to do tastings, but the owner, Brenda, came through. She delivered the wine tasting to our door with appetizers and stayed and chatted with us! You have to walk a bit, but there is a lake on her property which her dog, Bandit, would be more than willing to show you, as long as he can swim with you. We like what she is doing there, and wish her the best!

Private lake experience!
We were the only tent campers the night we came so we had the whole lakefront to ourselves! The stars were so easily visible here and the water was refreshing to swim in! If you're planning to tent camp near the water, just know that it's a long walk from your site to the bathrooms. There are also RV's to rent out at this place, but we like the open air so we chose tenting, but for those who want the RV experience I bet this is a great place for it! We rented two kayaks and had a great time out on the water. Just fyi, they are single person kayaks. Oh and wine was offered! We don't drink but I'm sure plenty of others enjoy this during their stay!

Mixed Emotions
At first, I was a little worried because when I went to check-in, my name was not on a flyer and when I drove up, Brenda said that she did not know I was coming. However, she was very accomodating and prepared a different site for me to stay in and I was able to stay the night. It was stressful and I don't think I would stay there again, but it was a beautiful place and I am grateful for Brenda being able to fit me in.

Warm host, great wine, beautiful si
Beautiful site. We enjoyed nice hikes through the vineyard to the reservoir, where we went for some nice swims. Loved the wine, especially the Sunset. Brenda is warm, helpful, and knowledgeable. Our RV AC broke and she kindly brought us a portable unit that saved our whole trip! Thank you, Brenda :-)

A Tesla Pioneer... In Hill Country!
We were heading here from Austin to meet up with our nephew based in San Angelo. We saw reports of the Junction supercharger site not being reliable, so we decided to make it there as a straight shot. I would never had done this except for my husband is a former Electric Engineer and winelover. We explained our adapters, sent pictures of the recepticle that we needed and our electricity needs before hand; ad nauseum. We were a pain with our questions, but I think later our host understood why. We knew we would be arriving with less than 40 miles. Brenda spent and hour getting our site's outlet to work after our arrival. This was clearly something new for us all, and we were panicked when we realized we were only getting <1 Amp. And Brenda understood the gravity of this. She and my husband worked through the evening just to get a better charge. Brenda had a cancellation and moved us to an RV site. The power delivery was sketchy, but we did get 6-7 Mph; the current was fluctuating. Late that night, Brenda returned (she hadn't forgotten about us) which meant a lot to us. And she and my husband came up with a plan to get us more juice the next day. While they tinkered possibilities to get us more electricity, by the next morning, my husband left her solid knowledge of 240V vs. 120V. She now understands how she can achieve 240V with a solid current delivery (at the time we were there, it was not from the campsites). We worked together and ended up getting 23 mph! Had we had a mobile connector gen1 (I think that's what it is called) with a 50 Amp plug, we could have achieved 37 mph. I'd recommend talking with Brenda in advance. Let her know what connector you have and what you need. In our case, we needed 10-30R NEMA recepticle and had a gen2 mobile connector. She is a true Tesla pioneer as well, and a great hostess! Hey Elon, welcome to Austin. Can we please see more superchargers in Hill Country?!

Wonderful place for a trip
Beautiful view. Brenda was amazing, more than friendly and helpful. Our family enjoyed a longer stay, even our dog loved playing with the other dogs. It was a nice break in a secluded place. Its a camping site, even I found myself discouraged with the tight space and small bathroom. But there was a big bathroom in the wine tasting room for our use. I did end up finding myself thankful for the enclosed space. It pushed our family to become closer and learn much more about our individual interests. We spent more time closely together than we would of achieved in our big house. For that, I appreciated. The stars are breath taking at night, fires are welcomed and peaceful. Walking through the vineyard and visiting the lake was a great sight. I will surely remember our trip and smile about the good time we had. Especially the home feeling I got when having talks with Brenda. She's a hard-working, kind, sweet and loving soul. I would definitely say your host can make your experience even better because she did for me. 10/10 would recommend!

The Perfect Camping Getaway
Our family has been looking into a travel camper but also interested in camping by tent. We looked around at different venues and this one was perfect for us. On a vineyard, lakeside, with RVs you can rent! Brenda was an amazing host. We chatted with her quite a few times and enjoyed s’mores by the fire together. We purchased the wine tasting kit and LOVED the wine. When we go back I plan to purchase the Sunset, completely forgot on our way out. The vines weren’t full of grapes but we will plan better during harvest next time. The lake access was perfect for kayaking. We didn’t go this time but watched another family. We stayed on shore and let the kids and dogs play in the water. We pitched a tent and slept in it but it was great to have the RV for back up. We booked one of the other RVs but had a little mix up. We ended up in the retro (smaller than expected) but really didn’t mind. Brenda provides the basic needs; cookware, table, chairs, grill, blankets, towels, pillows and has other items upon request. We had a small issue with the water in the shower but Brenda said she would attend to it. We enjoyed our walks, sunset and sunrise, looking at the stars, playing games and the company of Brenda and Bandit. One of our dogs is sassy so we had to keep her in leash but I assume if you have a friendly dog it would be fine to let them off the leash. Internet is available but we chose not to tap in so much. Overall gave us the feel for camping and RVing. Best host we’ve had on all our travels!
