This desert setting has been consistently used as a working ranch for decades. The camp is a 10 acre section we have dedicated to hosting guests out of the 1100 acre ranch.
Two unique Glamping Tents and 1 Cabin are offered on the ranch to rent. Each unit offers indoor plumbing, comfy beds, refrigerator, microwave, heat and ac seasonally, a private deck, outdoor cooking space and much much more.
From your deck is a direct view of the Twin Peaks during the day and spectacular stargazing at night. Pasture Horses and Cattle Roam the Property while Chickens stay safe in their oversized run. One part ranch, one part camp- all Far West Texas Desert.
We supply a range of fantastic organic toiletries that help support our grey water system. Fresh Locally Ground Coffee and yes even snacks. My wife and I loved tent camping here. Perhaps more suited for RV and van campers because of how close the sites are, but it was ideal for our situation. Perfect location for both Marfa and Fort Davis activities. Joy was an excellent host and always made sure we were taken care of. The clean bathrooms, warm showers, and free WiFi were the perfect creature comforts after our days outdoors. Early in the morning we could see deer and javelina’s near the property which is a plus for us. Would very much recommend to others and if you’re tent camping don’t overlook the advantage of being right outside the state park (like 10 minutes), but with more accessible comforts for a better nights rest.

This was such a unique and cool place to spend a night! The location is super convenient for exploring the town of Marfa, and it felt so cool to have this whole little “compound” of airstreams, campsites, a bar, and even an old adobe church where you can have a fire or play cornhole. Having a lock on the gate to the community added an extra layer of safety that I really appreciated. Robert was incredibly responsive, accommodating, and generous. We absolutely loved Marfa and will be back!

Great little campsite, not too far from central Marfa — Our small (14ft) campervan fit right in with the other permanent trailers onsite.
Lovely and cute grounds with great shared spaces, such as a social house with electricity and bathroom. Heater in the bathroom was a great touch!

The owners mom Joy welcomed us as we came in. She showed us our spot and everything we would need for our trip. The bathrooms were some of the nicest I've seen at a campground and we're cleaned daily. This spot is a perfect Basecamp it's a 20 minute drive from Marfa or Alpine, 30 minutes from Balmorhea state park, and down the street from fort Davis Historical site and Davis mountain State Park. The new owners have alot of big plans so looking forward to visiting again. The park like others in West Texas does have sticker burrs so if you bring pets make sure to bring them footwear.

This site was very cozy and very close to everything in town. My pup didn't love the rocks but that is all of Marfa! All the hook ups worked great and we had a wonderful 2 days! Felt very safe. One of the neighbors walking her dog, Honey, brought us some fresh grown tomatoes. There are barking dogs but everyone in town has dogs so it didn't really bother us much! I would stay here again!

Weekend Trip to Cholla Ranch Camp, Glamping Tents
This was hands down one of the best experiences of my life. Emma’s ranch was stunning. The tent was cute, cozy, and so tastefully decorated. There wasn’t any detail missed. Emma was so kind and so responsive to any question I had. She is a great host and truly thinks of everything! (Hot coco with marshmallow, the yummiest snacks, space heaters for cooler nights, bath robes and slippers, bandaids, floss, shampoo, face wash, soaps, sleeping masks, a record player, a heated foot massager, essential oils for aromatherapy and so much more!) As I write this sitting in DFW traffic on our drive back home.. it already has me itching to come back. It was such a breath of fresh air that my husband and I so desperately needed.
Now on to the best part.. the stargazing!
We got to see the Milky Way, Jupiter, Saturn, and so many more stars than we would ever see in the city. It was incredible. Just jaw dropping.
I can’t wait to come back and I’ll be sure to tell everyone I know about this place.

Such a charming place! Beautiful setting, great decor, felt safe and private. Our only issue was the amount of sticker burrs everywhere. They were sharp and big enough to puncture our tent and even go through some shoes. The site is also near some very noisy train tracks.

So peaceful!! Exactly what we were looking for being in between Marfa, Fort Davis, and the National Park. We absolutely loved the cabin and the homey feel it had. The hospitality was super welcoming and made the experience comfortable!! Seeing the horses and other wildlife really added to the back country stay.
