The primitive area is as such, gravel, grass, sand terrain accessible by a one lane gravel drive that leads over the hill and around the cliff to the riverbank. This drive is absolutely passable however is left bumpy to keep traffic at a safe speed as pedestrians also walk the drive. It is passable by any vehicle as long as the vehicle is not overloaded beyond its ability and/or has an extremely low profile. Any area that is not an actual campsite is left to nature, not manicured, trimmed or sculpted. As you’ll find all the sites are clear please don’t expect micromanaging of wild growth of our native plants in areas around the sites as we reserve those areas for the wildlife to enjoy. Please consider all the above mentioned details, primitive campsites are not for everyone and that’s ok.

Our location is phenomenal we are an hour from Knoxville and Asheville and just about 1/4 mile off I-40. Right at the foothills of the Smoky Mountains and 35 minutes from Gatlinburg about 40 minutes to Pigeon Forge (Dollywood), also about 45 minutes to Sevierville and one of my favorite Tanger Outlets!! The beautiful Smoky Mountains the National Park is filled with hiking trails and horse stables and trails. Some of the best white water rafting is less then 5 miles up the road along with zip lining and a lil taste of moonshine here and there. This property is primitive with no electric and has a camping style bathhouse. IT’s recommended for outdoor lovers and people that are not too needy. Hurricane Helene brought unforecasted changes in the land but the tranquility of the River remains. We have worked to restore as much as we could. As for us it’s still our happy place in the Smoky Mountains!

Life is short! Be happy! Neighborhood overview Very quiet here almost all of the time but there is a possibility for noise especially on some major holiday weekends. Usually if someone comes down the road it is the Post Man, UPS or Fed EX except for the 4th of July when our boat dock is often a prime location for a big fireworks display. Usually can't tell a Saturday from a Tuesday most of the time as 80-90% of houses in the area are second vacation homes and unoccupied most of the year. Only 2 houses are located past ours before the cul-de-sac. We are separated by trees and woods on both sides. Private yet very Conveniently located. Getting around Plenty of Convenient Parking located across the concrete driveway. A Large Heavy Duty Wagon is Available for loading and unloading. Plenty of Great biking and hiking spaces are all around. Close to Knoxville, Cumberland Gap, The Smokey Mountains, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Cherokee NC and plenty of options should you choose to leave the lake for a while or your against fishing in the rain. We are located approximately 8 Miles to New Tazewell Municipal Airport and about 9 Miles to Woodlake Golf & Country Club. Hospital, Veterinarian, Groceries, Walmart, Dollar Stores, Subway, McDonalds, KFC, Taco Bell, Local Dining, Antiques & Thrift Shops, etc. all within a 5-7 Mile Drive. Twin Valley Horse Ranch and Bed & Breakfast is such a delightful place! This is our second visit, and we truly appreciate how Janice has created a warm and welcoming environment that is also dog-friendly. Finding spots that welcome us and our furry friends can be tough, so we’re grateful for this special place. Luke’s Cabin is cozy and comfortable, equipped with everything you might need. We also love that here, you can disconnect and enjoy the tranquility without Wi-Fi. It’s a perfect home base for exploring the beautiful Smokey Mountains and nearby attractions, especially Dollywood, which is just about a 30-minute drive away. Whether you want to fill your days with adventures or simply relax by the lake or fire pit and spend time with the animals, there’s plenty to enjoy. We recommend all of Janice’s wonderful facilities, but our personal favorite is Luke’s Cabin.

I had a great stay in the camper. The bed is comfortable and the AC was great to have after a day of hiking in summer. The hill top location is beautiful and peaceful. This is also a good location for people interested in astronomy. I will definitely be returning.

Patrick and Angelica are amazing hosts. They were very responsive with any questions or issues that needed to be addressed. They treated me and my sons like family. My youngest is into rocks so Patrick showed him his collection and my boy took great interest. It's a remote, peaceful place that is well maintained with great care and one that I will definitely return to.

Weekend Trip to Honeysuckle Springs Smoky Mountains

Absolutely a 10/10. I loved the set up and the view from our campsite! Everything was clean and tidy! Tent was nice and cozy for the night with the fire pit out front. Trail right beside our campsite was quite steep, even steeper coming down the opposite side but all fun in the adventure! Would totally stay at Honeysuckle Springs in the future.

Quiet, peaceful, perfect blend of rustic camping with a few comforts of home. Made it through several rainy nights and the tent held up wonderfully! Bathrooms and showers were always clean. Purchasing firewood and extras was quick and easy. Campsite was secluded and private. Close to main attractions, groceries, gas, etc., while still feeling separate from all the tourist areas. Loved listening to the creek and wildlife at night, seeing fireflies, and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. Having some storage areas inside, a comfortable bed, and wifi were added bonuses and made it easier for those traveling in. Would highly recommend.

I highly recommend this place!!! Beautiful scenery, stunning landscape, amazing place to stay, camp, enjoy quietness and cherish memories with your love ones. The farm is absolutely amazing my teenage boys love it so much they don’t want to leave. John is a very nice & tentative host. Answers right away & greets you with kindness. He also makes sure you have eveything you need and is a phone call/text away( very responsive). Couldn’t ask for a better stay!! We’ll definitely be back.

Weekend Trip to Twin Valley Horse Ranch

Janice was incredibly kind, welcoming, knowledgeable, and wildly multi-talented, and her ranch is a very special place! My daughter and I enjoyed a wonderful weekend in the Cowboy Hideout (which was built by loving hands from trees on the property!) with another mom/daughter duo, and the girls were already saying “mom, can we just live here all the time???” by the end of the first night. They had SUCH fun meeting and feeding all the animals (horses, donkey, mule, goats, ducks, chickens, sheep, dogs, cats & more!), helping out with farm chores, and even learning some country line dances. We created wonderful memories and really appreciate all that Janice & her friends/family did to make it such a beautiful experience.

Weekend Trip to Clayton Geneva Memorial Camp Ground

Staying on Amber's property was phenomenal! We stayed in Jewel's Covered Wagon, and the glamping factor was TOP NOTCH. A cute and cozy covered wagon tiny space, including a dehumidifier/cooling unit (yay for cool air!), a small coffee maker, bench seats for sitting inside, small table and chairs on the deck....and an AMAZING host, Amber! She was prompt in answering our messages through the HipCamp app, and accomodating any and all of our requests. We knew going in that we were in for a rain filled weekend, but, it was PERFECT. A bundle of wood was there for us to use, a firepit, a picnic table, and a small iron grill. 2 EXTREMELY CLEAN port-o-potty's to use for bathroom needs, also right arctic across from our site. She does have showers also, up by the RV area. The site is just a 2 minute stroll from the Cumberland River, which was so peaceful! Absolutely a FIVE STAR experience, and we'll definitely go back again, for rain or shine camping! Thank you, Amber! 💚

We stayed during some intense rains, and to be honest it only made the experience that much better! The cabin is tucked off in the woods about 25ft from the fire pit and picnic table. It was quiet and peaceful. I look forward to staying again!

I stayed at the secluded riverside cabin and it was awesome! Patrick was so friendly and accommodating. This Hipcamp had so much to offer…bathrooms,showers,kayaks and so many styles of “roughing it”. Also close to a variety of outdoor activities and parks. I would definitely stay if I ever am back in the area

The cabin was a great location for anyone wanting to stay away from busy Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area. With small children we love to tent camp, but traveling a long ways doesn’t always work for a tent- the cabin was perfect for us! We loved the cozy space and the hosts were very welcoming and helpful! We loved exploring the campground and enjoying the views.
