Welcome to our serene and rejuvenating private getaway nestled within 42 acres of forested beauty. The Sanctuary offers an unparalleled experience where nature meets comfort, allowing you and your group to unwind and reconnect with the tranquil surroundings.
We have added multiple tree swings throughout the forest.
We are uniquely situated on the edge of the Tennessee Cumberland Plateau and the Tennessee river valley. We are currently offering 4 treehouse dwellings to share our peaceful land full of God's promises. The dwellings are spaced far enough apart for privacy yet not to far of a walk to the common area where the kitchen and shower are. You'll be surprised at how cool the tents stay under the forest canopy in the heat of summer. Then in the colder months we have various heating options to keep you cozy in 3 of the dwellings I hope you come to share this with us, it's an amazingly peaceful area.
Nearly 3 miles of hiking trails to enjoy during your visit. Take a spur trail off the main trail loop and there is a prayer shelter with a fire pit inspired by Luke 6:12 in the back corner of the property. Located at the edge of the prarie on the main trail is a sunrise/sunset/bird-watching platform that is 20 feet in the air with a 2 stage bridge to access it. We updated the outdoor kitchen with a 3 burner propane stove, propane grill and hot running water with a 3 bay sink. Other cooking options include a tripod over the fire and a charcoal grill.
A short 10-minute drive to fire tower rd. brings you to a 2 mile loop trail with 2 waterfalls, Upper and Lower Piney Falls. Ozone falls is just a 20 minute drive. Then toward Spring City is Stinging Fork Falls at 25 minutes. Black mountain is my new favorite place especially the south overlook! The Hiking possibilities are nearly endless and close. I'll highlight one thru hike here since both trailheads are only 20 minutes away and is easy to coordinate with only 2 vehicles. It's a 10.2 mile hike that can be done in either direction and has a little something for everyone including a cave, boulder field, cascade and waterfall. Then you have massive Watts Bar Lake which is only 20 minutes away with a plethora of activities including the excursions we offer!

Clayton Geneva Camp Ground began as a retreat for our family since the 70's. My grandparents, Donald Clayton Russell & Jewel Geneva (Davis) Russell, purchased this little piece of heaven to get away from the hustle and bustle of Cincinnati life. Judy was born in a little cabin just down the road. Judy & Don along with many family members have made cherished memories here over the years. We want to share its beauty with you and your family.
Please consider, Clayton Geneva is a primitive campground, gravel drives and left as natural as possible. This is not a sculpted campsite or a concrete campground. The primitive area is as such, gravel, grass, sand terrain accessible by a one lane gravel drive that leads over the hill and around the cliff to the riverbank. This drive is absolutely passable however is left bumpy to keep traffic at a safe speed as pedestrians also walk the drive. It is passable by any vehicle as long as the vehicle is not overloaded beyond its ability and/or has an extremely low profile.
Any area that is not an actual campsite is left to nature, not manicured, trimmed or sculpted. As you’ll find all the sites are clear please don’t expect micromanaging of wild growth of our native plants in areas around the sites as we reserve those areas for the wildlife to enjoy.
Please consider all the above mentioned details, primitive campsites are not for everyone and that’s ok.

Welcome to our place on the hill! We have a wonderful view of Watts Bar Lake and the Clinch River, and we’d love to share it with you.
We have a mini homestead going — cats roam the property, and we have four dogs, a cow, a few pigs, goats, rabbits, chickens, geese, and ducks. Almost all of these animals are fenced within three acres of the property. The other four acres are open for camping! You can tent camp in the center loop (Rascal Flatts), near the garden (Faith Hill), or overlooking the animals (Cypress Hill).
If you have a camper or small RV, you can park anywhere on the loop or on the grass, with views of the water or the farm animals. There are children’s swings and play equipment, fire pits, and tables available on a first-come, first-served basis. We also have a 24-ft Class C RV that sleeps two adults and two to three kids comfortably, available for rent.
We are a family of four. We homeschool, love live music, and are first-time farmers learning as we go. We live in the house on the property, and you’ll likely see us out feeding the animals and tidying up. Feel free to say hello — or not! If you’d like a home-cooked breakfast or a fresh loaf of sourdough bread, just ask and we can arrange it. Firewood is also available.
We’re about 90 minutes from Great Smoky Mountains National Park, two hours from Nashville and Chattanooga, and close to tons of live music venues in Knoxville, along with caves and great restaurants. If you need any suggestions, we’re happy to help!

You'll be surprised at how cool the tents stay under the forest canopy in the heat of summer. Then in the colder months we have various heating options to keep you cozy in 3 of the dwellings I hope you come to share this with us, it's an amazingly peaceful area.
Nearly 3 miles of hiking trails to enjoy during your visit. Take a spur trail off the main trail loop and there is a prayer shelter with a fire pit inspired by Luke 6:12 in the back corner of the property. Located at the edge of the prarie on the main trail is a sunrise/sunset/bird-watching platform that is 20 feet in the air with a 2 stage bridge to access it. We updated the outdoor kitchen with a 3 burner propane stove, propane grill and hot running water with a 3 bay sink. Other cooking options include a tripod over the fire and a charcoal grill.
A short 10-minute drive to fire tower rd. brings you to a 2 mile loop trail with 2 waterfalls, Upper and Lower Piney Falls. Ozone falls is just a 20 minute drive. Then toward Spring City is Stinging Fork Falls at 25 minutes. Black mountain is my new favorite place especially the south overlook! The Hiking possibilities are nearly endless and close. I'll highlight one thru hike here since both trailheads are only 20 minutes away and is easy to coordinate with only 2 vehicles. It's a 10.2 mile hike that can be done in either direction and has a little something for everyone including a cave, boulder field, cascade and waterfall. Then you have massive Watts Bar Lake which is only 20 minutes away with a plethora of activities including the excursions we offer!

Please consider, Clayton Geneva is a primitive campground, gravel drives and left as natural as possible. This is not a sculpted campsite or a concrete campground. The primitive area is as such, gravel, grass, sand terrain accessible by a one lane gravel drive that leads over the hill and around the cliff to the riverbank. This drive is absolutely passable however is left bumpy to keep traffic at a safe speed as pedestrians also walk the drive. It is passable by any vehicle as long as the vehicle is not overloaded beyond its ability and/or has an extremely low profile.
Any area that is not an actual campsite is left to nature, not manicured, trimmed or sculpted. As you’ll find all the sites are clear please don’t expect micromanaging of wild growth of our native plants in areas around the sites as we reserve those areas for the wildlife to enjoy.
Please consider all the above mentioned details, primitive campsites are not for everyone and that’s ok.

Welcome to our place on the hill! We have a wonderful view of Watts Bar Lake and the Clinch River, and we’d love to share it with you.
We have a mini homestead going — cats roam the property, and we have four dogs, a cow, a few pigs, goats, rabbits, chickens, geese, and ducks. Almost all of these animals are fenced within three acres of the property. The other four acres are open for camping! You can tent camp in the center loop (Rascal Flatts), near the garden (Faith Hill), or overlooking the animals (Cypress Hill).
If you have a camper or small RV, you can park anywhere on the loop or on the grass, with views of the water or the farm animals. There are children’s swings and play equipment, fire pits, and tables available on a first-come, first-served basis. We also have a 24-ft Class C RV that sleeps two adults and two to three kids comfortably, available for rent.
We are a family of four. We homeschool, love live music, and are first-time farmers learning as we go. We live in the house on the property, and you’ll likely see us out feeding the animals and tidying up. Feel free to say hello — or not! If you’d like a home-cooked breakfast or a fresh loaf of sourdough bread, just ask and we can arrange it. Firewood is also available.
We’re about 90 minutes from Great Smoky Mountains National Park, two hours from Nashville and Chattanooga, and close to tons of live music venues in Knoxville, along with caves and great restaurants. If you need any suggestions, we’re happy to help!

This property is located right in the heart of TN and has some of the most spectacular attractions for any outdoor lover! We are 3 minutes from Calfkiller River so bring your kayaks and take a leisurely paddle or just fish on the bank. Rock Island State Park (Caney Fork River) along with Fall Creek Falls State Park are each only 30 minutes away. Cumberland Mountain and Burgess Falls State Parks are also within less than an hour from this site. Amazing food and local hotspots can be found 5 minutes down the road in the heart of Sparta (i.e. Calfkiller Brewing Co is only 5 minutes away) or you can take a quick 20 minute drive into Cookeville for other great entertainment and food options. We have set up the beautiful spot on our private farm and we are so happy to share it with all of you traveling through. Come visit and and relax!

Weekend Trip to Awakening Adventures
It was a lovely escape from the city. Just me and my pup, who unfortunately doesn't care for other dogs, and the owners were super kind about putting their sweet pups up so she could have the freedom to live her best life too.
The treehouse is the perfect size and has everything you need to just relax. The porch faces away from the other sites so even with another group there, it didn't feel like I was in a fishbowl. The hiking trails are nice and there's plenty of them to just escape into the woods.
All in all, it was a wonderful experience and if you're just trying to escape the noise for a chill spot to light a fire and stare into the void for a while, I highly recommend it.

Joshua was a great host . Our campsite overlooked a pond it was a great view. Would have liked to have spent more time at the property but we wanted to get home. Their cats came and visited us along with their dog who's collar read Goats need me. She was a sweetie. Thanks for everything

We camped for 13 days. I would recommend Mrs. Amber and her staff a hundred times over. Herself and her staff Ms. Abbey and Mr. Payten are amazing people. First our battery died and Mrs Amber had stepped away from the site So while she was away she contacted Ms. Abby at her other job ,to come and jump us . When Ms. Abby arrived it was astonishing to see a well round and grounded 18 yr old these days who would leave there job just to give someone a jump. Thanks again Ms Abby. The bathroom was warm showers were hot yes hot in the winter months. We stayed with Mrs. Amber 13 days beautiful sight even when it rained I got in 2 days of fishing the best time ever. If you don't go see Mrs Amber and her staff You would miss out on a lot canoeing, honey, you name it Mrs. Amber has including but not limited to amazing and friendly neighbors we even took long walks. Compassionate, polite, respectful. You get all the bells and whistles with this camp grounds They treat like a human being and not like $$$$ dollar signs. She has electric cabins and wagons, RV hookups We can't say enough about This site Other than. CAMP, RV OR GLAMP HERE YOU WON'T REGRET YOUR CHOICE OH YES SHE HAS FRESH MEAT,,EGGS AND THE fresh produce is down the street with Walmart 6 miles from you on your way to Walmart you bypass a huge water park. Mrs Ambers site has a lot to offer. If I could give her 100 STARS I WOULD. WE WILL SEE YOU SOON MRS. AMBER THANK YOU AGAIN FOR AMAZING SERVICES AND SIGHTS OH YEA 🐕 FRIENDLY

Had a great time at the cabin. We came in the off season on a rainy weekend that turned pretty cold, but overall it was a great stay. The cabin was very easy to find, had plenty of firewood (absolute must, no insulation) and secluded enough from the main part of the property to really provide that peace and quiet we were looking for. It could use a little tlc, but again, we came in the off season so it's hard to take any points off for that. Would absolutely stay here again.

Great spot for a stop over. Other reviews made it seem like it was going to be pretty noisy, and it is on a two lane highway, but I really didn’t think it was very noisy. And overnight it was very quiet. It’s a pull through site that is very easy to get in and out of. It’s next to the owner’s house, but further away than homes in a lot of subdivisions. It still feels private and has an awesome view. The owner was very nice.

This is a fabulous camping spot. The host is friendly and cordial. The location is convenient to necessities, i.e. Walmart, Lowes, Planet Fitness, etc.
It's a working farm, so don't expect a quiet setting. While it is serene, there's lots of animals and the noises they make. It's awesome!

We spent a few nights at the campsite while we explored the OHV trails and downhill mountain bike course at Windrock. The thought of tent camping in one of the huge gravel parking lots surrounded by throngs of people and the rattle of RV generators at one of the large campgrounds in the area held no appeal. This spot was peaceful and quiet, just what we were looking for. Extra bonus points for the burbling creek, the amazing assortment of birds that flew around us in the mornings, and quick and easy access to the trails. No conveniences at the site but $3.00 will buy you a shower at the Windrock Campground, and possibly other campgrounds around.

I had a very peaceful stay. Personally, I love the sounds of alert farm animals. The place was very easy to find and access the campsite was easy. The place gave me a very peaceful sense of security for a few days, to leave my stuff unattended while I researched more permanent local areas. Jacob is a great guy and is there to help anyone, the best he can.

Stayed one night in the dry camping area. Easy place to get to. Wonderful sounds of owls hooting and coyotes howling through the night. Bring about 3-4 inch of leveling blocks since the ground is has a slope to it. Ground is more level towards the street but gets steeper as you get closer to the trees.
