It encompasses 994 acres of private forested land on Whitwell Mountain, which is part of the Cumberland Plateau in Southeast Tennessee. Take a hike on miles of trails comprised of forest paths, old wagon roads, or coal mining roads. If you find a chunk of coal on the ground feel free to take it home with you as a souvenir. If you are a history buff, you may be interested in discovering previous caretakers from the late 1800's and early 1900's in nearby cemeteries. The Bolo Club

Our grandparents moved to the farm on Little Crow Creek on September 27, 1927 from up in Sinking Cove. They had six children with our dad, Charlie Jr., being one of them. Charlie Stubblefield Sr. was a very interesting man with a wide curiosity in just about anything that had to do with history, Indian artifacts, Civil War, fossils, oral history, religion and more. Therefore, the small museum on the property next to the pavilion is dedicated to our grandfather. Charlie Sr. and our grandmother served as Justices of the Peace for over 30 years. Further, our grandmother was the backbone of the family, and was a gracious lady with a special personality to handle the rigors of the day; we miss them both very much. The area has many interesting stories and legacies of characters of yesterday and today. Mountainview Rock Island rv/tent

Little Bone Cave campground is in the mountains of Tennessee with hiking trails and a beautiful view located on 16 acres. This campground adjoins Bone Cave State Natural Area located in Van Buren County. Big Bone Cave is a 400 acre natural area with trails and a cave that contained bones of a giant ground sloth discovered in 1811 and is maintained by Rock Island State Park. The cave is not currently open to the public. Rock Island State Park (swimming, fishing and hiking) is only 6 miles from the campground and Fall Creek Falls State Park (swimming, fishing, hiking and home of the Annual Mountaineer Folk Festival) is a beautiful 25 mile drive through the winding roads and mountains of Van Buren county. A public boat ramp maintained by the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency is two miles away to access the Caney Fork River. Come enjoy with friends and family. Campsite #1, "Valley View" is a Rv with 30 amp electric with sewer and water or it can be a primitive campsite that is a wide open space and is approximately 1-2 acres with a beautiful view overlooking the valley below. We do have electric, sewer and water 340 gl tank with a hose, a picnic table and a fire ring at this site. if you'd prefer, you can locate a spot of your choosing off the beaten path anywhere within our 16 acres (ask the hostess for details). We now have rv hook up with a 30 amp electric service, sewer and water available. We have wildlife such as bobcats, coyotes, deer, owls, snakes, turkeys and rumor has it, maybe even a bigfoot. I hope you come enjoy friends, family and nature to make this an incredible experience.

Caney Hollow Creek Retreat

The creek can be waist deep in areas but mostly is good for sitting in and just relaxing. Extremely quiet on a dead end road. We have 5 bars of AT&T 5g cell service, Verizon can be hit or miss. All other cell services do not work. We love the creek and our secluded valley. Only a few farmers live down the road. This makes for a very private experience that can be naturalist / clothing optional friendly. The creek is secluded with plenty of trees to enjoy however you wish. Spaces are extremely level and there are good Satellite tv abilities. We have firewood on site and two stone fire pits. Nearby is a wonderful old grist mill, Tim's Ford state park, Tim's Ford lake, Jack Daniels Distillery and other attractions. We are also about 45 minutes from Huntsville, AL with the NASA Space and Science Center. Space #1 is closest to the road. Space #2 has a larger patio. This retreat is the Perfect way to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life, yet not too far away from essentials. Hiking adventures nearby include University of the South Domain, Buggy Top, Walls Of Jerico and many more. 30 and 50 Amp pedestals at each site along with water and sewer hookups. Level sites.
