Several trail heads are located there in the Greenbrier community including Brushy Mountain trail Old settlers trail (several old settlements can easily be found here) Porters Gap trail. Please consider, Clayton Geneva is a primitive campground, gravel drives and left as natural as possible. This is not a sculpted campsite or a concrete campground. The primitive area is as such, gravel, grass, sand terrain accessible by a one lane gravel drive that leads over the hill and around the cliff to the riverbank. This drive is absolutely passable however is left bumpy to keep traffic at a safe speed as pedestrians also walk the drive. It is passable by any vehicle as long as the vehicle is not overloaded beyond its ability and/or has an extremely low profile. Any area that is not an actual campsite is left to nature, not manicured, trimmed or sculpted. As you’ll find all the sites are clear please don’t expect micromanaging of wild growth of our native plants in areas around the sites as we reserve those areas for the wildlife to enjoy. Please consider all the above mentioned details, primitive campsites are not for everyone and that’s ok.

The host was very cordial and kind. She has a great deal of property there and had several other people come during the weekend however we were able to pull our travel trailer in a fenced area which allowed us to let our dog run free, which we greatly appreciated. This was the first hip camp we had ever stayed in and it worked out really well for us because it gave us the opportunity to be right in the middle of the things we wanted to see and do like Cade‘s Cove Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. She was actually hosting I believe a community scavenger hunt on our property and the other campers participated and had a good time with it. My husband and I just stayed within our little area because we’ve just recently gotten married and wanted our time.

This was perfect. You can walk to the water and fish, the portapotty is close to all the camp sites and she gets them cleaned weekly. We drove our truck to the site and the person next to us had an SUV and we had zero trouble getting to site. Banks end looked like the best site since it has the whole end to itself and closest to the water. Sites are well separated and a good space for group camping! Lots of add ons offered by the host from eggs to fishing bait and she delivers your firewood. Close to Cumberland falls and was just an hour and a half drive from Knoxville for a weekend get away!

There was a Chili Cook-Off and Halloween party going on while we were there and it was so much fun. I would highly recommend this location to anyone. We will definitely be coming back many times in the future.

I spent a week on Amber's beautiful land. It is a very peaceful location and Amber was a wonderful host. The river itself is beautiful to look at but shallow and very silty so not great for kids wanting to swim or play in the water. I would absolutely come back.

You know a dream is like a river. Ever changin' as it flows. Patrick's Point River Camp is a dream coming true.

My family and I had a fantastic stay tent camping at Patrick’s Point. We will definitely be going back. The facilities were very clean and accessible. Our host, both Patrick and Angelica were warm and welcoming. I recommend to anyone looking for a nice relaxing time.

Had a wonderful time. The hosts were exceptional and took care of everything we could have wanted. Loved the convenience of the river shack. I will definitely be going back when I can stay a bit longer.

The primitive campground is nice for your off-grid camping.

Another night and day here. Did not want to leave. This place is such a treasure. Hiked to 1 of the waterfalls again and only thing to be desired (besides wishing we had more time to spend) is that fellow visitors would not leave their trash behind. Love coming here and eager to return.

Beautiful campsite! I stayed at the creekside primitive site, private watering hole to bathe in, private trail to the river, clean and absolutely gorgeous. Hosts were so so friendly, and everyone I ran into was so friendly and gave great local recommendations for trails and views! Will absolutely be back! The host was beyond amazing ~ and her place was nothing short of that. Sycamore Cove is a beautiful retreat on the Cumberland River, but still very easily accessible without 4-wheel drive long as you have a lick of sense. I highly recommend staying here, and I highly recommend the experiences that are offered, as well as those farm fresh eggs...she has a genuine love for her animals and takes such good care of them ~ I will definitely be back, and in the meantime, I will be singing her praises 🏕 5 out of 5 stars 🌟

Brownie and Oreo loved it here. Kept them on leash at all times to avoid them running off.

3 nights at Your Private Mountainside Retreat

I enjoyed my 3 night stay at this primitive campsite. I arrived late in the evening and GPS took me almost to the right road to turn on. Unfortunately for me, there is another road 75 ft before the actual road where one is to turn. I mistakenly took that road and ended up having to do a near impossible turn around given my truck length and short 12 foot trailer) near some dumpsters and the exit from another campground/trailer park. The host's directions are very good, it was just darkness and unfamiliar area that led to my challenge. The entrance gate was at the end of a condo complex and kind of looks like a dead end. I was relieved the gate code worked and I was quickly through. I proceeded down the single lane gravel path til it opened in to a small clearing sufficient to turn around and park in. I actually parked on the road as Brian said I would be the only traffic. The site was peaceful, quite and felt surrounded by woods. There's a little bit of mountain view in one direction. Signage both by the condo garbage dumpster you pass on the way and at the actual campsite remind you you are in bear country and need to take appropriate precautions. I didn't see any bears, but did see plenty of deer scat and one pile my imagination said could be from a bear. I was happy to have my more secure camper to stay in. If tent camping, I would recommend familiarizing oneself with how to do that safely. It was a great home base for me during my short visit. I definitely will go back.
