1 night at Caney Hollow Creek Retreat

Amazingly peaceful and idyllic, steps away a babbling creek. Loved it. Have to say, the owner totally understands the assignment. He was attentive and communicated very well. We are relatively new RVers and got ourselves stuck in the mud. He spent an hour getting us out of the mud and gave us a few driving tips beside. Class act!! Don't pass this one up!!

Weekend Trip to Caney Hollow Creek Retreat

Our stay was so peaceful and beautiful (site #3.) We were the only ones there so our old terrier lived his best life bouncing through the meadow. The creek was gorgeous but our absolute favorite magical experience was the firefly (or lightening bug) show each night. Literally like Christmas lights—the fireflies lit up in the 40 ft tall trees all around us. Super dark skies which makes for excellent star gazing. Hosts were perfect—immediately accessible when we needed them but gave us privacy for a much needed break from the grind. We love to visit new places and don’t often plan on visiting the same place twice, but this will be the exception. Cannot wait to return!

7 nights at Caney Hollow Creek Retreat

What a great hidden gem!!! We had just a short 2.5 hour drive to get here, and we were so excited to see it when we pulled in. Quiet, and serene, but with full hookups. We were the only ones there, so our two dogs got to run and play, a lot! :-) The wife and I have been looking for a place like this for a long time, and I think we just found it. Lindsey was a great host. Very hospitable, and easy to talk to. We appreciated the clean and friendly environment that he has to offer here.

3 nights at The Woodlands at Buffalo River

WOW!!! Don't hesitate to stay here. First, this is only an hour away from our home but the drive there was beautiful. We didn't know it was so pretty. When we arrived, we met Jody. She's so warm and genuine. The campground is under construction but it is wonderful. We met Troy as he took a break from working hard just to say hello and welcome us. At night the campground has beautiful lights not big street lights but lanterns that provide just enough light. Do yourself a favor and take a drive. We didn't use GPS for our drive we just drove. So beautiful!! This campground is a hidden gem. Full hookups with WiFi! We will be back often.

Weekend Trip to Peaceful Hills Retreat Campground

This campsite is the perfect escape—completely quiet with no traffic noise at all. The area is clean, spacious, and well-maintained, featuring a metal fire ring, a picnic table, and a dedicated parking spot. It's fully shaded, which kept us cool and comfortable throughout our stay. We were surrounded by peaceful sounds of birds during the day, and at night, a few adorable armadillos rustled around the campsite. There are plenty of level spots for setting up tents, but while there are trees, none were quite right for our hammock—so we were glad we brought a stand. Overall, it's a serene, private retreat where nature takes center stage. Would definitely come back!

Fantastic host, and went above and beyond to make the camp area comfortable. It was a beautiful area and easy to find. Power is available and the barn is historic and is beautiful as well. Highly recommend!

2 nights at Benjamin's RV Sanctuary

We arrived to this Hipcamp with our 24’ camper for a 2 night stay. The site pad was a back in easy access location. The pad is next to the host home, but beautifully landscaped and manicured large backyard. A few extras made our time there even more special: a goat and chicken yard that we could access and enjoy the animals, large yard for our dogs to run off lead if we chose to And an gourmet meal prepared by our host who is a chef!! The meal was amazing and such a treat which was worth the extra charge. I highly recommend this Hipcamp!!

2 nights at Peaceful Hills Retreat Campground

Jennifer went above and beyond my expectations. The campground has many options for tents, RV's, and motorcycles. The site I chose wasn't the best for bikes but there are many more options to pick from. I always enjoy using Hipcamp to book campgrounds. I really enjoyed walking the grounds and taking in the wildlife. I had trouble with my bike and Jennifer and family had my back. They tracked down a part I needed to get underway, picked it up for me, and even helped with installation. While I waited Jennifer's daughter brought me water and a snack. I wouldn't expect this kind of service anywhere else. The family wanted me to enjoy my stay and bent over backwards to make sure I did. I highly recommend checking this place out. A very beautiful location out of the way of all outside noise. No car sounds or city lights to hinder ther experience. Great place.

Great stay at Lumberjack! Rain didn’t scare me away, the road up to the campsites is in fantastic shape! Plenty of room for a couple larger tents. No ticks or bug issues (I treat my clothing/gear and also use repellent). Great hosts and great location!

What a fun spot and great camping area. Power was all set up and got my Airstream all cozied up behind the barn. Was a bit wet for walking around the property, so just had a fire and chilled.

Another great stay at Peaceful Hills! Campsite 22, Lumberjack, had plenty of space for our two large tents and offered privacy as well. Jennifer and her family are great hosts as well!

3 nights at Howlin Hill

We truly enjoyed our stay at Howlin Hills. Jenny was a gracious host that made sure we had everything we needed. The sites are nicely laid out and right along the river. Campers can enjoy a relaxing day of fishing and floating! The porta John’s were kept clean and the spring fed showers were refreshing after a hot and humid day in the sun! We will definitely be visiting again.

The site was very secluded and the fire pit was very nice as well. I was able to get up the hill in my dodge challenger with just a little scraping so it wasn’t as bad as it looked. This was definitely camping out in the woods which was what we were looking for.

We had such a wonderful time camping at Lindsey’s property! My fiancé and I, along with our two dogs, stayed for just one night but it was truly memorable. The land was peaceful, spacious, and perfect for exploring — we especially loved hiking along the nearby creek with its crystal-clear waters. The lack of artificial lights preserved the natural beauty of the night sky, making for some incredible stargazing. Even though our stay was short, it was incredibly special, and we’re already looking forward to coming back. Next time, we hope to bring family and friends to share in this beautiful experience. There is a small fish and lotus pond on the south side of the chalet which you are welcome to visit, as well as many areas for walking and sitting meditation in the meadows and forest. The land boundaries are a line of arborvitae evergreens on the south, fencing on the east and north, and the chert road on the west. Next door on the north side are miniature horses and a large scenic pond within view of our open wooded slope we call "Sunset Hill." Our country road is safe for walking but there are no sidewalks, so step aside for passing vehicles. You can get a 9/10s of a mile walk up and down our country road without going off road or onto a highway.

The lodge is a beautiful place for the reception to take place outdoors and the Honeymoon Cottage makes for the perfect getaway afterwards. Polk, once lived - Peekaboo Meadows & The Big Red Barn are waiting to welcome you! Pull in, drive down the grass road and over the small creek, put it in park at the barn and go stretch your legs on the 4o+ acres surrounding. During the day, feel welcome to walk the serene meadows or take a cleared trail up the ridge to the treehouse! Don't be surprised to be greeted by all kinds of wildlife including deer, turkey, foxes, or our goofy, fun-loving Golden Doodle named "Shme." If walking isn't your thing, you are welcome to drive around (4wd recommended) to go scout out where you'd like to set up camp for the night. If you prefer more peace and privacy, there are two beautiful meadows to choose from which both reach deeper into the property. If you'd prefer the comfort of additional shelter, you are welcome to park and/or set yourself up at the barn instead (which is a little closer to the main road). There is power to the barn - providing light, 30AMP power for RV hookup, as well as an electrical receptacle that you can run your extension chords from. For the extra adventurous - you may want to take a hike up "Thornbush Trail," which follows the ridge right up the middle of the property and has beautiful views of both meadows to either side. Or, for a more direct route, take a walk right up our dirt access road to the upper ridge, where you can peek through the treeline for beautiful elevated views eastward toward Columbia. Our treehouse (in progress) is located right at the top of the access road. Though the treehouse has not yet been completed, feel free to climb the 20' ladder up the inside of the hollowed out trunk and pop your head out the top! It sure makes a great photo! Come back to the barn area in the evening to lounge in the hammock, hang out around the picnic table, or cook dinner and roast some marshmallows over the wood burning fire pit with cooking grill attachment (fireside tools & 1 bundle of firewood provided). One filtered and cooled 5 gallon portable Igloo water cooler will also be provided and placed on the picnic table outside the barn. One rolling 96 gallon covered trash bin will be placed inside the barn (please bag your trash). "Luggable Loo" portable compost toilet is also available for use inside the barn. Tho cell & wifi are spotty here on the farm, we will provide one walkie talkie during your stay for direct communication with the main residence, should there be any issues or needs that arise. On the flip side, privacy is respected and use of the electronics is completely at your discretion! For recreation (each within 15-20 minutes of the farm): 1. Williamsport Public Fishing Lakes for fishing or kayaking 2. Stillhouse Hollow Falls Trail 3. Maury County Park with paved walking trail Yummy food: 1. Caney Hollow Creek Retreat

Escape the crowded, generic campgrounds on this rural property that is designed with RVs up to 45 ft in mind and enjoy the peaceful space. Learn more about this land: Out little slice of heaven has a beautiful spring fed creek and two large fields to play in. The creek can be waist deep in areas but mostly is good for sitting in and just relaxing. Extremely quiet on a dead end road. We have 5 bars of AT&T 5g cell service, Verizon can be hit or miss. All other cell services do not work. We love the creek and our secluded valley. Only a few farmers live down the road. This makes for a very private experience that can be naturalist / clothing optional friendly. The creek is secluded with plenty of trees to enjoy however you wish. Spaces are extremely level and there are good Satellite tv abilities. We have firewood on site and two stone fire pits. Nearby is a wonderful old grist mill, Tim's Ford state park, Tim's Ford lake, Jack Daniels Distillery and other attractions. We are also about 45 minutes from Huntsville, AL with the NASA Space and Science Center. Space #1 is closest to the road. Space #2 has a larger patio. This retreat is the Perfect way to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life, yet not too far away from essentials. Hiking adventures nearby include University of the South Domain, Buggy Top, Walls Of Jerico and many more. 30 and 50 Amp pedestals at each site along with water and sewer hookups. Level sites. Due to health regulations, we only accept RVs with a pottie system as we do not offer bathroom facilities.
