This property was purchased by my husband and I in 1980 from Margret Cetera mother of Peter Cetera lead singer of the band Chicago. When purchased the home was a small non descript cottage with a pole barn in the back field. It has grown to support grape, blackberry and muscedime vines. The original home has expanded through time and around 20 years ago, the pole barn was converted into a large 1200 square foot cabin with modern conveniences. My husband and I actually enjoyed living full time in the cabin for a period of 5 years before returning to reside in the main house. The cabin consists of 1 large common space room with sitting area and kitchen. The antique farm sink has hot and cold running water. Also available is a large refrigerator, toaster, microwave oven, hot plate, coffee pot and portable dishwasher. The antique Hoosier cabinet holds cooking utensils and silverware and located above the kitchen counter you will find plates, bowls, cups and glasses for your use. The water is well water, pure and delicious without chemicals. The cabin is equipped with a full size pool table for our guests enjoyment. The master bedroom offers a comfortable sleigh bed, full bathroom with shower and just outside the bedroom is a comfortable patio to enjoy, complete with table and chairs for two and outdoor fire place. Your host Val has walked away from her life as a tenured graphic design professor for a passion that is probably her true calling. Inspired by travels and a youth immersed in girls scouts, I created this retreat center and camp for the opportunity to relish in nature, put away the phone and get back to craft, conversation, and the basics of life. You'll relish in the quiet and beauty of the rural rolling foothills of Appalachia in mid-south TN. 20 minutes from any town so prepare en route. Route 99 splits the 17 acres with retreat center on one side and an 11.5 acre campground with significant river front property On The Buffalo. This is in Lewis county - of the Lewis and Clark adventurers. The Buffalo River is a class 1 and sometimes 2 river perfect for kayaking. Ask about add on options like a tour and story about the camp and animals or even a pottery lesson or art workshop.

Welcome to Muletown Farm, our peaceful 31-acre farm in Columbia, Tennessee. The property boasts of rich history with modern comfort. The main log home on the farm dates back to 1808. Today we love sharing the land with travelers who want a quiet place to relax and enjoy a little Middle Tennessee countryside. Our RV spot gives you room to spread out and enjoy the views. It also has its own private fire pit with string lights, which makes evenings out here pretty special. It’s a great place to cook dinner over the fire, sit back with a drink, and watch the sun set over the fields. Guests are welcome to walk around the property, fish in the pond, visit with our animals, or just enjoy the open space. Mornings are often peaceful with fog settling across the pasture, and evenings usually end with beautiful sunsets around a fire. Even though the farm feels quiet and tucked away, you’re still just a short drive from downtown Columbia, one of Tennessee’s best small towns. There are great restaurants, coffee shops, and local stores to explore. The Natchez Trace Parkway, waterfalls, hiking trails, and scenic countryside drives are also nearby. Muletown Farm is also home to four restored houses and cabins that we rent to guests, so sometimes families or small groups are staying around the property enjoying the farm as well. Everyone has their own space and fire pits for privacy. Whether you’re just passing through for a night or planning to stay a few days, it’s a great place to slow down, sit by the fire, and enjoy the land.

This beautiful place has been in my family for 3 generations. Since I was a child I loved having campfires and hiking. I used to imagine cabins speckling its landscape and story’s being told by travelers from far off places! Now that I am owner I can and will build those dreams and share them with as many folks as come to visit us! There’s 60 acres of hills for hiking a peaceful creek for meditation or just stick your feet in! A beautiful bamboo grove where we plan to build a camping platform in the very near future and you’ll be able to sleep in tha bamboo forest! We’ve come a long way in the last year, we have platforms, tents we can set up as glampers for those that love the idea but don’t want to have to set it all up. There’s several old buildings and unfinished projects left behind from my father we have a series of small cabins we will be building with them over the next 2 years it’ll be called “Boho Bottom”. We also host events, so far they are few and small but so much fun!! There is currently one communal bathroom with several more due to be built in the next year or so. As campers come the profit will help with future site development. Look forward to more updates as things develop!! We look forward to camp with you!

Stay in one of our private cabins (master suite + loft), fish the stocked ponds for bass and catfish, shoot hoops on the full-size basketball court, test your aim at the BB gun range, or just find a spot by the fire and stay there all night. 29mi from Lewisburg · 1 site
Accommodates up to 2 adults (25+) and 2 children under 12. Nestled on five peaceful acres near Arrington, Franklin, Nolensville, Murfreesboro, and Nashville, this cozy barn retreat is the perfect escape to relax and recharge. Designed and built by a husband-and-wife duo, it blends rustic charm with thoughtful touches—featuring a king-size Casper bed, a cozy loft with a double bed for kids, and front porch rocking chairs ideal for morning coffee or evening sunsets. The kitchenette includes everything you need to make a hot meal—cookware, dishes, utensils, and a small refrigerator/freezer that can be pre-stocked with your favorite drinks upon request. There’s also a cooler on the porch and a small bar top that doubles as a workspace with a view. Guests can enjoy outdoor amenities including a fire pit, a stocked fishing pond, and fresh eggs upon request. You’re welcome to stroll the property, but please avoid the main residence’s deck, pool, and front yard. Fishing poles and tackle near the grill area are free to use—just return them after. Children must always be supervised around water. Please park on the gravel driveway only. Chickens roam freely during the day, and while they’re friendly, the rooster can be protective. Our dog, Petty, may wander by to say hello—let us know if that’s an issue and we can make arrangements. The tree swing and swing set are for children 12 and under. The barn accommodates two adults, and the loft is for up to two children. Please use caution with the ladder and never leave children unattended. Guests must be at least 25 to book. Your unit is part of a larger barn; the remaining space is used as a personal workshop that owners may occasionally access. These areas remain securely locked. This charming space offers a peaceful country retreat with the right mix of comfort and adventure. Whether you’re roasting marshmallows by the fire, fishing in the pond, or simply rocking on the porch, you’ll find plenty of reasons to slow down and stay awhile.

Explore the trails, cool off in the creek (yes, we have a couple of swimming holes), fish or just sit by the fire and relax. Watch for the eagles, blue heron, beavers and even the occasional sly fox. You may even hear the call of the whippoorwills in the evening. For those wanting to kayak or canoe, the Piney River is an easy commute of 20 minutes away. Bring your bikes for some of the best gravel rides in Hickman County! ***Amenities: Picnic tables and benches. We provide firewood and a composting toilet. ***A higher clearance vehicle is needed to traverse the steep gravel driveway.

Riverbend Ranch — Duck River Cabins

18. Riverbend Ranch — Duck River Cabins

29mi from Lewisburg · 2 sites
Leave the city behind. Riverbend Ranch is 180 acres of real Tennessee countryside in Normandy, TN — just 45 minutes from Nashville — where the pace slows down the moment you pull in. Stay in one of our private cabins (master suite + loft), fish the stocked ponds for bass and catfish, shoot hoops on the full-size basketball court, test your aim at the BB gun range, or just find a spot by the fire and stay there all night. Over a mile of Duck River frontage means there's always somewhere to wander. Got a big crew? We sleep up to 60 across multiple cabins and four-bedroom houses — everyone together, nobody crammed. Large groups can add the Dining Hall for a proper indoor hangout space. Oh, and if you really want to send the weekend off right, we have professional pyrotechnicians on staff. Yes, real fireworks. Over 180 acres of ranch. You're welcome. Two cabins are available now, and three more are coming by the end of 2026. Full cell service and WiFi throughout (for when you absolutely have to check in with the real world). Nearby: Tims Ford Lake (20 min), Jack Daniel's Distillery (25 min), Bell Buckle (15 min), Franklin (45 min), Nashville (45 min). On-site catering available for groups. Relaxing Retreat

We welcome all to our nature preserve for its restorative energy, uplifting the mind, body, and soul. Helping guests unwind is one of our passions. We have a nature and botanical preserve here, with edible and medicinal plants, dense forest, open forest, wildflowers, meadows, a courtyard, gardens. Thus we are feeding birds, bees, butterflies and wild bunnies! Guests find a peace in soaking up the forest and meadow vibes. Guests may also schedule a visit to the Relaxation Station for personal attention in our "healing spa." Kathleen is a licensed massage therapist, offering chair and table massage and energy work, a chi machine, ionic detoxing foot baths, and other therapies for improving overall well-being. And check out our extensive library as well. To keep the vibe sacred, we ask that guests on our land stay clean and sober. We are inspired to hold space for guests to heal on all levels, to feel whole, at peace and refreshed. We've built 4 cabins, a greenhouse, dug ponds and nurtured dozens of trees and gardens in the past 9 years. We are near (2 miles) The Farm Community, and within a 1/2 hour drive of historic cities of Columbia, Mt. Pleasant, Ethridge, and Lawrenceburg, the scenic Natchez Trace, and 2 lovely state parks. Feel free to wander around the 11 acres, engaging with the landscaping and art installations, while allowing privacy for guests and hosts around their cabins. The surrounding gardens and meadows and forest are for your walking and viewing pleasure. You are welcome to pick mints and samples of other herbs from the meadow and the 2 long garden beds down the slope from the driveway. There is a small fish and lotus pond on the south side of the chalet which you are welcome to visit, as well as many areas for walking and sitting meditation in the meadows and forest. The land boundaries are a line of arborvitae evergreens on the south, fencing on the east and north, and the chert road on the west. Next door on the north side are miniature horses and a large scenic pond within view of our open wooded slope we call "Sunset Hill." Our country road is safe for walking but there are no sidewalks, so step aside for passing vehicles. You can get a 9/10s of a mile walk up and down our country road without going off road or onto a highway.
