Low Meadow Farms (formerly Brown Bike Farms) is a serene four-acre meadow bordered by Burnett Creek. The campground is an easy distance to Downtown Knoxville and an even easier access to all that South Knox's Urban Wilderness has to offer. It uniquely offers a hint of backcountry camping without the 25-mile hike in. It is a great way to test the waters for primitive camping or an easy stop close to the city for a seasoned traveler. It is best suited for car camping, RVs, tent, and hammock camping.
There are fire pits and picnic tables at each site with enough room for tents and RVs. Most sites have trees suitable for hammock camping all along the creek.
There is potable water, firewood for sale, solar showers, and a bike wash stand all next to the covered communal area.
Each standard site can accommodate 2 people to keep space between groups and lessen the impact on the land. Sites 10 and 13 can each accommodate 6 guests. If you have more in your group, we recommend reserving an adjoining campsite.
Sites 1, 2 and 3 are off the main path to the left of the property, and still by the creek. Sites 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 are all along the creek and gravel drive Site 10 is very private with creek access on three sides. Site 11 is private with creek access all along the front. Site 12 is up high on a hill, and Site 13 is open in the middle of the meadow.

Islandsite is an equally beautiful tent site ideally for two, but the 10x12 platform can accommodate a 6-man tent, best for 2 adults and a couple of kids!
You won't want to leave, but if you do there are many recreational opportunities in the area such as hiking, biking, rafting, fishing, and more! Stays of 6 days or more get a big discount!

Heartstone is located on a modestly pitched, terraced slope where a divided mountain stream, the tumbling Squally Creek rejoins itself! The sunlight filters down through the forest canopy providing a warm, inviting glow!! There is a 9'-6" x 10' wooden tent platform, and if needed a new, larger tent pad!
Islandsite is located at the top of the island where the tumbling Squally Creek divides! Access is provided by the 40' long fallen tree bridge! Islandsite is amazing and very unique!
Diamondstone, Heartstone, and Islandsite all feature a picnic table, charcoal grille, and comfort facility. They are all within a short walk from your private parking! Enjoy evenings at the new fire pit area with benches overlooking the fire pit and creek!
Explore the island on the 400' island trail, or go downstream to a nice pool for dipping!

My absolute favorite hipcamp I have stayed at!! I stayed for 3 weeks and it was an absolute experience. Sarah is such a gem! I enjoyed my time around her so much. She was accommodating and made sure I was comfortable. She had so much interesting information to share about her goats and even gave me some soap and cheese She made (both were absolutely incredible!). I truly felt at home. The property is stunning, and there is as much privacy as you want or as many companions as you want in her friendly animals on the property! The goats and pups are the sweetest things and were so much fun to hang out with!! I will certainly be back and am so glad to have crossed paths with this beautiful place and person!

Absolutely loved it here. Such a perfect get away from the 9-5 life. The creek was beyond gorgeous and was so calming to hear. Host was amazing and made sure we were good to go on couple occasions. The bathroom was very clean. Site was beyond perfect. Has amazing fire ring with heavy duty picnic table along with bench and seats around the fire pit.

Such a beautiful camp site. The creek sounds made such a fun experience during the day and night. The amount of birds there was amazing. Met Andrew and his daughters while getting firewood (they have cut and ready for a cheap price), and they were so welcoming. The site was insanely clean and welcome with a fire ring.

Sweet camping spot beside the creek and tucked away. All sites had a fire ring and picnic table. Water is onsite and a portion and even a camping shower hanging up on a post. Tons of native plants especially blackberry so this would be a great place to camp during picking season! We enjoyed it and would camp again.

Sarah's little farm is wonderful! We had such an amazing trip. We set our trailer up next to her barn which has electric and water. We had a view of the empty fields behind her property, just beautiful. We were able to help with milking the goats and feeding the babies too! Sarah was the nicest host and very laid back. Our 5 and 7 year olds had the best time! Sarah even played a little ball with my son. This was exactly what I needed after a stressful few weeks. I can't wait to go back!!

The directions to this site were easy to follow and the privately maintained gravel road was very well kept and easy for our cars.
Peaceful open area, we were the only campers in the lower area the weekend we stayed so it was very quiet. The neighboring sites are fairly close together though separated by brush and trees.
Nice river front site, we could access the water but had to climb down the bank and some of the rocks were loose so just be careful not to fall in.
Patrick was so kind, he stopped by on our first and last day and even had treats ready for our dog. We will definitely be back.

We absolutely loved our time at The Heart Center. Liz has created such a beautiful and safe space. We hosted our own small retreat and feel like we were called to this site. Liz was an amazing host, and we will definitely be back for future retreats.
The bathrooms were really nice, the gym was nice to do activities while it rained and the meditation room was so peaceful. We felt welcomed and comfortable.

We actually didn’t end up staying here because we were in a 24 ft class C motorhome and the route I had planned to get to Tina’s involved a road that really wasn’t appropriate. Tina was very helpful, but we ended up changing our route and staying elsewhere.
