Running Water Creek is a unique, fully off grid campground just 20 minutes to downtown Chattanooga. We have 80+ campsites spread out over 120 acres. Most of the roads are accessible in any small car, but some roads require 4x4 (they're marked with a sign). We have a bath house with toilets, showers, and sinks and even offer hot water! Our well and cabins are all solar-powered as we are not on the electric grid. Not far from Chattanooga and Knoxville.  Primitive camp spots "with community campfire" available with quick access to nearby waterfalls, a lake, and many hiking trailheads. You can also get into town to see live bluegrass bands on the weekends or stop by the local bakery for some amazing fresh food selections. We provide fire wood and portable toilets. Please note that we are off grid so we request that you use all degradable products if possible. (shower supplies are provided). Also, we do request that any trash/recycling products are taken with you when you leave. Looking forward to hosting you.

Great place to stay! Not far from Chattanooga proper so we were able to use uber/lyft. Perfect place for me as someone who experiences sensory overload - room was dark and quite also perfect for my girlfriend who is always cold bc they have a heated mattress pad. They are both very talented artists and we enjoyed our tour of their studios& even bought two pieces of art. Will come back!

I loved my experience at the little barn house! The cabin itself was very cute, and the atmosphere was peaceful for a solo trip to escape city life. Jon was fabulous and incredibly helpful when I was needing some support. It was fun to have some animals nearby too, though hunting season is real, so something to keep in mind. Overall I am super grateful for my experience and would recommend it for anyone looking for a little getaway.

We had such a relaxing time! The cabin was perfect for the 5 of us and it had all the amenities we needed. We loved the lights around the campsite, and the kids took over the loft area in the cabin! Having a nice bathroom and the kitchen area just enhanced the stay! The highlight was enjoying the sweet kitties that spent time with us! It was a perfect little getaway!

Absolutely amazing, cute and quaint stay! You’re surrounded by the woods but have easy access to the town! The bed was super comfy and it had everything we needed. Most importantly Kris was so sweet and amazing! She was very accommodating and had such great communication. I would definitely come back!

I love, love, love this place! It was so quiet and peaceful and beautiful! I will definitely be back for another visit! Owners were very nice and just wanted our stay to be perfect. Spent a lot of time swaying in the skychairs. I wanted to pack them up and take them with me! If your looking to unplug from the world for some peace of mind and spirituality, this is definitely it!

Overall, we really loved this cabin. There are a lot of cute touches with the art work and cat perches. It was well appointed for camping (glamping?) and had games, cooking pans, and lighter, etc. Cute and cozy.

First time camping ever and we were absolutely blessed by this site! It was such a wonderful way to ease ourselves into camping, everything was super accessible while still maintaining our privacy and allowing us to fend for ourselves just a bit lol I would recommend bringing extra blankets and pillows, thankfully we did and it made a world of a difference. Would so come back!

Weekend Trip to Cabin and Barn on 20 Peaceful Acres

A very comfortable camping set up. Quite a lot of space in the woods to ourselves and between outhouses, with a large clearing in the middle for kids to enjoy. Kitchen and dining area under the barn is very well equipped. I didn't need to bring any extra cooking or dining equipment. Took us a little time to figure out the hot water in the shower but it does make a difference when it's on. Lots of products and some toilet paper provided. The wooden cabin was a great set up for sleeping. Very well ventilated and little fairy lights for nice ambiance. We took our air mattresses and sheets and it was like a little camp hotel. There is a road nearby but it's completely silent at night and pretty quiet during the day too. Horses on the property make great scenery. All in all clean and well maintained. Would just recommend taking a bath mat for the shower floor and tea towels for the kitchen for maximum comfort. Host was very easy to contact at any point and very helpful.
