A few features about our property:
- Working farm: Campers are welcome to meet our Icelandic sheep and take a self-guided tour of our farm, along designated pathways.
- Security: The campground and farm are fenced in on three sides with the river being the fourth boundary. Personal code to the entrance gate will be given at check in.
- Bath House: The restored bathhouse is split into boys’ and girls’ sides. Each side has 2 private showers, 4 flushing toilets, sinks, hot water, and gas heat.
- Community Pavilion: The Pavilion is a large 40x30 ft. open sided structure overlooking the Nantahala River. It has an ample fireplace, running water sink, counter space, couches, and table with benches.
- Pack Room: Where the adventure begins! A cozy hub where all guests get local information, view maps, and grab some local seasonal groceries. Also available to all campers are washing sinks with hot water, toaster oven and microwave.
- Communication: Or rather, lack thereof! There's no cell service on the property so it's a great time to get away from it all. There is limited Wi-Fi available near the Pack Room and an emergency landline available.
- Charging: Traveling in an electric vehicle? Recharge for free at our dedicated EV 50amp outlet when you stay at any of our sites. First come, first served.

Cabin is located 6 miles from I 75 Tennessee exit 49 about midway between Knoxville and Chattanooga. The cabin sleeps four. Bedding is provided for one double bed, one single bed, and a cot.
Kitchen includes stove, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and basic cookware and utensils. Coffee, cooking oil, salt and pepper are stocked.
We have plenty of room to park a trailer or turn around a boat you travel with. Several access sites on the Tennessee and Hiwassee Rivers are nearby. Chickamauga Lake section of the Tennessee River is accessible within 15 minutes and is one of the best bass fishing lakes in the US. Several waterfalls are in easy driving distance as well as the Lost Sea, the largest underground lake in the USA.
On the property activities could include, harvesting seasonal fruits and vegetables, gathering eggs, foraging for mushrooms, hiking in 17 wooded acres, or building a campfire.

We just retired from Active Duty Air Force! My ancestors have owned the land our NC cabins sit on since 1836. In fact, my mother grew up there after my Grandfather returned from WWII when there was no electricity and the outhouse was a bench over the creek. I grew up hiking the mountains with my brothers and our BB guns and my Uncle Frank at our family reunions. In 2005 he deeded us a parcel of land and we built our first cabin - Smawlie. We love to come to the cabin and Hike the trails on our own property, and of course, the world famous ones that join them, namely the Bartram and the Appalachian Trails. As you explore the lake, the trails, the rivers, and the mountain roads you'll see why our ancestors settled here. In 2018 - we bought the remainder of Uncle Frank's land - and in his honor built our second cabin - Frank's Landing. Also in that year I started managing my brother Bill's cabin.
When we were stationed in Alaska for 6 heavenly years - we purchased a remote parcel of property and have slowly begun to develop it. We just completed building our cabin there.

Cabin is a 10 x12 with a porch across the front. Sit on the porch and listen to the breeze thru the tree leaves and birds chirping and owls hooting. There are 2 lofts for sleeping and a futon. Small area with coffee pot and fridge. Enjoy your meals either inside cabin or outside at the picnic table. There is no running water in the cabin. No cooking in the cabin, but toast or roast your meal at small fire pit near cabin and picnic table. A full bathroom is available in the basement of nearby home with a private entrance. There is unmarked hiking in the surrounding state forrest. With in a 30 min drive, you will find access to the Appalachian trail, lake Blueridge, toccoa river for paddling, Serenberry Winery. There is potable water available.
Only fires allowed in fire pit near the cabin. This is the woods, we must be super cautious. Thank you.

Cabin is located 6 miles from I 75 Tennessee exit 49 about midway between Knoxville and Chattanooga. The cabin sleeps four. Bedding is provided for one double bed, one single bed, and a cot.
Kitchen includes stove, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and basic cookware and utensils. Coffee, cooking oil, salt and pepper are stocked.
We have plenty of room to park a trailer or turn around a boat you travel with. Several access sites on the Tennessee and Hiwassee Rivers are nearby. Chickamauga Lake section of the Tennessee River is accessible within 15 minutes and is one of the best bass fishing lakes in the US. Several waterfalls are in easy driving distance as well as the Lost Sea, the largest underground lake in the USA.
On the property activities could include, harvesting seasonal fruits and vegetables, gathering eggs, foraging for mushrooms, hiking in 17 wooded acres, or building a campfire.

We just retired from Active Duty Air Force! My ancestors have owned the land our NC cabins sit on since 1836. In fact, my mother grew up there after my Grandfather returned from WWII when there was no electricity and the outhouse was a bench over the creek. I grew up hiking the mountains with my brothers and our BB guns and my Uncle Frank at our family reunions. In 2005 he deeded us a parcel of land and we built our first cabin - Smawlie. We love to come to the cabin and Hike the trails on our own property, and of course, the world famous ones that join them, namely the Bartram and the Appalachian Trails. As you explore the lake, the trails, the rivers, and the mountain roads you'll see why our ancestors settled here. In 2018 - we bought the remainder of Uncle Frank's land - and in his honor built our second cabin - Frank's Landing. Also in that year I started managing my brother Bill's cabin.
When we were stationed in Alaska for 6 heavenly years - we purchased a remote parcel of property and have slowly begun to develop it. We just completed building our cabin there.

Cabin is a 10 x12 with a porch across the front. Sit on the porch and listen to the breeze thru the tree leaves and birds chirping and owls hooting. There are 2 lofts for sleeping and a futon. Small area with coffee pot and fridge. Enjoy your meals either inside cabin or outside at the picnic table. There is no running water in the cabin. No cooking in the cabin, but toast or roast your meal at small fire pit near cabin and picnic table. A full bathroom is available in the basement of nearby home with a private entrance. There is unmarked hiking in the surrounding state forrest. With in a 30 min drive, you will find access to the Appalachian trail, lake Blueridge, toccoa river for paddling, Serenberry Winery. There is potable water available.
Only fires allowed in fire pit near the cabin. This is the woods, we must be super cautious. Thank you.

I loved my experience at the little barn house! The cabin itself was very cute, and the atmosphere was peaceful for a solo trip to escape city life. Jon was fabulous and incredibly helpful when I was needing some support. It was fun to have some animals nearby too, though hunting season is real, so something to keep in mind. Overall I am super grateful for my experience and would recommend it for anyone looking for a little getaway.

Brian has created something so incredibly special here! We stayed at Diamondstone and he has added many special touches- the electric candles, little propane stove, wooden benches and handrails....
He is also INCREDIBLY responsive! We could not figure out how to work the padlock to get into the cabin (note: the numbers must be lined up in the GREEN section of the lock) but he answered right away even though it was 10pm (second note: there is no cell service there so you have to go a ways to find it).
The cabin is not insulated and the stove does not put out much heat, so if you're coming in winter make sure you have good cold weather gear. My son set up his tent outside and as we both brought winter gear we had an wonderful, peaceful time reconnecting with nature and each other.
Thank you Brian for being a wonderful host and creating such a special place.

We loved our stay in the hangar! Adrienne and Dean were awesome hosts and the hangar has everything you need. There is plenty of outdoor space to enjoy with seating, fire pit options and is highlighted with all the beautiful flowers on the flower farm. Taking a walk through the property will just bring a smile to your face, the flowers are incredible and Adrienne is a wealth of knowledge. The property is near the western border of the Smokeys and close to the Cades Cove area of the park. A quick drive into Maryville will bring you to more urban amenities or activities as well. We felt very at home here and enjoyed cuddling the friendly dogs. If you are in the area, you are missing out by not experiencing this property! We will be coming back anytime we are in the area. Thanks Dean and Adrienne for an awesome trip!

I cannot emphasize enough how beautiful this spot is. The stream, the trees, the quiet. I have camped in almost every state, and this is easily one of my favorite sites. The road in a bit bumpy, but doable. I easily made the trek in a civic. The road is also great for taking a scenic walk. The covered porch was perfect for a rainy afternoon, and the heater was a welcome addition on cool autumn evenings. Close to the stunning Joyce Kilmer Wilderness & Nantahala National Forest. I hope to come back again!

We loved our stay at the Magical Resorts Groundskeeper Cabin! Mary truly thought of every detail when designing and decorating each space. The beautiful stained glass, cozy bedding, fire torches, and even the dishes made us feel like we were actually in Hagrid’s cabin!
Even if you’re not a Harry Potter fan, the cabin is simply beautiful and so thoughtfully done. We have two younger children who absolutely loved it—they spent hours on the swings and the play area by the water and enjoyed feeding and petting the animals.
One evening we visited downtown Haynesville and had a great meal at a local restaurant. We probably could have spent more time exploring the town, but we just loved relaxing in nature.
Mary was so kind and quick to respond to all of my messages. We will definitely be back!

I can’t say enough good things about my stay! The farm setting was absolutely serene — nestled along a river and within striking distance of the mountains. Every detail was so thoughtfully done, from the well-kept amenities to the little touches that made it feel both comfortable and connected to nature.
What really stood out was the hospitality. The hosts were genuinely kind and welcoming, and they went out of their way to help me plan things to do in the area — from scenic spots to local hidden gems; they went out of their way to make my stay extra special.
Between the peaceful surroundings, beautiful scenery, and top-notch amenities, this place was the perfect balance of comfort and adventure. I left feeling refreshed, grounded, and already dreaming of coming back. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a peaceful escape in nature!

Such a great experience! The cottages were super cute, the property was peaceful, and we loved the animals and the little fairy village—it added so much charm. The hammock area was a really fun and relaxing touch.
The host was kind, thoughtful, and very understanding when we had to leave earlier than planned. Everything was clean and cozy, and we truly enjoyed our time there.
If I could make a small suggestion, it would be to add a few towel hooks for after showers and maybe clean the AC units or consider fans for better airflow. Other than that, everything was perfect—we’d happily stay again!

I really enjoyed my stay here! The campground is quiet, peaceful, and has a unique charm that makes it feel special. The rental was well stocked. Also, the owner was friendly and welcoming, which added to the great experience.
The only thing I’d mention is that the air conditioning unit could use some cleaning or maybe an upgrade, and having a ceiling fan or two would really help with air circulation. Other than that, everything was great — I’d definitely stay here again!
