The Fern Getaway

4 sites · Lodging, Tents7 acres · SC
This is a place to get away and enjoy nature but you aren't too far from a local grocery store, a few restaurants and a local park. If you are here for the beach, the closest beach and also our favorite is Cherry Grove Beach, only a 30 minute drive. There are a few kayak rental companies we can connect you to if you'd like and we know all the local spots for adventure, food and shopping. Pick a hammock and relax listening to the birds, we also have an outdoor kitchen to prepare food and community firepits to gather around. We want this to be a relaxing getaway, to connect with yourself, others and nature.

The farm and family have seen many changes throughout the centuries, and is looking to the future! An experimental and educational farm, we are working to bring a high level of self-sufficiency here and to share our knowledge with our visitors. This is the farm's 7th year hosting visitors. Thirty-eight countries represented and over 200 folks staying, all have helped make the farm a better place. They have laughed, learned, sweated, grown and eaten some great food. We hope all that spend time here will take something positive away with them. I own 120+ acres of mixed pine/hardwood forest and fields, and a large 2-story 1880s farmhouse--the land has been in our family since 1827. Camp Prosser

1 site · RV, Tent17 acres · Andrews, SC
My dad lived on this property until passed away almost a year ago to this day. Me and my twin can't come and check on the place as much as we would like too. So we would like to have other people enjoy the property for us and share their memories.  Every time I'd visit my dad I would be rejuvenated from the scenery and peace. Learn more about this land:Come and relax in the wilderness of the Prosser Plantation.  Every time my twin and I would visit dad's plantation, we left refreshed from the atmosphere.  Andrews, South Carolina, is where you can get back to roots and live off the land, all the experience of being on Naked and Afraid (without being on television). Minus all of that, enjoy the rustic scenery and having fun. There is a place for you to park an RV but there is no hook up (that's why I said there's no place) but there's more than enough place to park on my dad's plantation property. Feel free to ask any questions...nothing is crazy!
